I heard the stupidest comment in regards to the Ashley/Wrex on Virmire topic on youtube, basically he said that Ashley was like a 'racist cop who shoots a black guy for 'looking suspicious'.
I just love the logic, or lack thereof, in this context. Because I think when someone is pointing a gun directly at someone's face, and has refused to be talked down and is now talking to them (gun still raised) in an angry and threatening manner... it's a lot more than just 'looking suspicious'.

I know youtube commentors have a notorious lack of intelligence or logic (or personal hygiene) when Ashley Hate starts up but that one just pushes to beyond the realm of the ridiculous.

For V-rex: I've seen a lot of bad comments on Youtube about Ashley. People don't want to know better about Ashley and make hasty conclusions, which are unpleasant for us.

I was talking about ME1 and 2 in my university, and when I let slip that I liked Ashley I got attacked verbally by a real life troll.



Wow was he dumb, and well he got everything wrong. Didnt stop me from poking him to keep him going though.

Lol, a troll in the flesh? Such a rare event it is for a troll to leave there mothers basment and see real people.

I only know one other Mass effect fan in real ife, and thankfully there a Ash fan too.

Ijust checked a thread about having a Batarian squadmate in ME3, reading some of the comments baffles me, some of the people in there I have seen call Ash racist before, and I have seen comments in there saying ''how they would set the Reapers on the Batarians'' ''bomb there hospitals and schools'' lol. Who are the real racists?

Yeah, I had one of those too. We got into a debate about LI's in Mass Effect and when I mentioned Ashley it got into a big debate.
What I did was, I wall of texted him... vocally. I just talked the standard prepared speech I have planned for just such an event and when I was done, I had to catch my breath, he was speechless.

After that, he was a lot more agreeable, even asking me if it was true that Ashley could be converted from being distrustful to being more open minded. I had changed a viewpoint through simple conversation.

Sadly it's not so easy on the internet, if people don't like you then they just never respond to you, or shove juvenile insults at you.

But still, Ash is worth it.

Also I was wondering if VuaatVerd could update the OP with that Ash/Shep cuddle picture, or do you reckon that one could be a little too... edgy for front page material?

It's funny, but even as a straight female I love Ashley more than poor Kaiden. She's like a sister to my femShep and a trusted comrade at arms. I absolutely hate having to choose between her and Kaiden in Virmire and struggle with the decision every time.

What's amazing about Ash is that she seems to be a mix of every freakin' race on Earth and is therefore appealing to everyone in some way or another.



Anyway, Horizon ruined Ash for me . I get it, Cerberus = bad, Ashley = Alliance till death, but come on, he's been dead for 2 years. Bioware handled that terribly.



Here's to Bioware making ME3 amazing for Ashley fans and making my save with an Ashley LI the best experience imaginable.

I liked encountering Ash on Horizon, i didnt think it was handled terribly. Really felt like he had missed out alot in the passed 2 years, plus the whole "I've had enough of this place." reslly added emotion.

While I hope Ash has a good place in ME3, I'm still hopeful we'll get some Ash/ Kaiden DLC.

I am pretty sure most of the people here feel the same way.

I only have two Shepards that romance Ashley. One renegade and one paragon (my only paraShep). The rest of my Shepards (including my canon Shepard) do not get into serious relationships with squadmates. They choose to focus on the task at hand. They may partake in the occasional casual sexual liaison.

I like Ashely because she's a committed soldier, and she has realistic political views.
