Its doesn't bother me when the target is jack, cuz if you it me with the Jack's a psychopath, or she's ugly, or oh no's she doesn't have hair troll speak, I know your not worth much. But calling Ash xenophobic, you have to admit there is a grain of truth to that, not so easy to ignore. With my earlier post, I just needed a place to rant, don't worry I'm all good now.
Wait, calling Jack a psychopath = trolling? Isn't it pretty apparent that she has huge psychological deficiencies?

*sighs* How many times am I going to have to post this?
Confronting the reason's people think Ashley is racist:
Point one: " Ash doesn't want aliens in the vital parts of the ship."
Counterpoint: Would you like Russians at NORAD? Perchance North Koreans hanging out
on the Ronald Reagan? It's a security issue. She's a marine. It's a logical concern.
Point two: "The bear comment."
Counterpoint: I know, human syntax is hard to get a hold of but it's pretty obvious she was voicing her worries that the council will sic humanity on the metaphorical bear. She WASN'T saying, "Hey Shep, let's send the aliens to their doom."
Point three: "Sometimes she's the one to put *spoiler* Wrex down."
Counterpoint: You ordered her to be ready to do that and don't tell me she fired too many time because we all know a krogan's health goes back up to half or more as soon as they hit the ground. So you don't want your people following your orders? Besides, she's concerned for her commander/boyfriend. And quite frankly, if you had done Wrex's loyalty mission you wouldn't have this problem. Or if you had enough charm/intimidate points you wouldn't have a problem. Don't blame Ash for your inequities. A failure to plan on your part does not constitute a failure for her. Her letting a 2 ton Krogan charge and kill her CO however, probably would. But, who knows? Joker got away with killing the boss. Maybe people would have liked her better if all the player saw during that scene was Wrex starting to glow blue and then, "Critical Mission Failure."
Point four: "I can't tell the animals from the aliens."
Counterpoint: Yeah, let me be the first to admit if I was wondering around and ran into a big floating
jellyfish, I'd probably think he was an escapee from a local aquarium exhibit. I guess I'm racist now.

She distrusts aliens, yes, and she doesn't always agree with my Paragon "canon" Shepard. But her views often have legitimate points to them, and she seems like one of the best developed characters in both of the games.
As for the Wrex thing - I only started playing Mass Effect last April. But, after several play throughs of the first game, I can honestly say I've never had Wrex die on me. It seems almost like you'd have to TRY to get him killed in order for it to happen.

Ash being a racist? How dare you Ash? After your family history (we all know that in the first contact war the Turians had chocolates in the boxes they were holding, it was our mistake we thought they had bombs inside) and your whole team being killed by aliens and seeing the jerks the members of the council are and you STILL are racist? How dare you?
I trully beleive most of the ppl accusing Ash to be a racist have seen to many times the:" ET wants to go home" movie
Also, I suspect that before the events of ME, she likely didn't have much contact with aliens.
Lack of direct contact + hearing about bad experiences + what happened on Eden Prime... yeah, I can understand her attitude, even if I legitimately think that some of it is misplaced.

Misplaced or not i think its a very NORMAL attitude. I know i would be a hell more racist if i was in Ash's shoes. The real problem is that Ash is a really NORMAL human being. and thats not acceptable in the minds of boys that think they really ARE as badass as the heroes they play in their games.
Ok im going to step away slowly coz i already feel the hate from them and i'd like to stay alive for now

One of the things that I like about her, actually, is that she's so normal. Same with Alenko, who I think is relatively normal given what he went through when he was younger.
Well you really needed normal, relatable characters to discover the world with in the first game. I mean, someone has to stand in awe next to you as your visit the Citadel for the first time. Someone has to begin to grasp the politics of the situation as you do so you have someone to talk about it with, bounce ideas off and form your own opinions. If everyone but you was worldly...er...universe..ly? the entire game would be the character's lecturing you and wondering how stupid you are for not knowing all this stuff already. (So every crewmate would be Tali the encyclopedia. "F. Flotilla. The flotilla is a fleet of ships formed in...")
So I guess what I'm saying is the reason a lot of people hate Ash/Kaidan, because they're fairly normal, is one of the reasons I was so attached to them.

By contrast, everyone in ME2 is a superhero.

Ashley is only mildly speciesist and it's highly explicable, but that doesn't make it completely nonexistent. As you can see from conversations regarding the First Contact War and a few other things, she has issues with them that go beyond national security concerns, a fact highlighted by her contrast with Kaidan.
Yeah, it's a character flaw, and we've all got 'em.
