I'm not sayin it would make sense. This is a newborn, highly impressionable krogan we're talking about. Of all the ladies in Mass Effect, I'd say Ash is the most krogan-like in attitude, not to mention combat specialization (straight-up puncher, assault rifle afficionada, drills-you-between-the-eyes-at-a-hundred-meters).

Ashley and Jacob both served on eden prime when the geth attacked, maybe they knew each other from then?

You know, I knew that but had somehow never connected the dots. I suppose if they knew each other there would have been a moment between them on Horizon though. Maybe they'll retcon it so that they know each other though.

@trobbins, i always figured they met at some point on eden prime,the garrison prob wasnt that big since the alliance dosnt defend idvidual planets in-mass force.i would say they had about 1 to 2 bases on the planet with about a hundred marnies maybe less (the base on sidon in ME:R only had 15 marines)not only that ashley was gunnery chife meaning she took alot of units on patrol and through traning exerscies.all in all i think they cossed paths a few times,they prob dont remeber each other however by the time of horizon it was two years.

Yeah I thought that would have been interesting if they'd known each other or at least been aqcuainted.  But sure enough, standing there on Horizon...

in fan speaculation world,there are numerous possobilities and reason why ash and jacob dont have an exchange on horzion.Realisticly however its most likely a writing/plot oversight.the Devs could haave been so busy that it sliped there mind. they most likely thought it was not nesscary for them too know each other or maybe they figured they already threw us a bone with  garrus.if ash and jacob both return for ME3 however and banter also returns,im sure it will be expanded upon.

He mentions being on Eden prime, i fergot what he said though. I dont think he was with Ashley's squad though, but who knows.

Judging by her photo Shepard has i gues not lol! For some reason pictures seem to make Kaidan look angry lol.

I think Jacob says something about being one of the few who made it out alive after Eden Prime - but I could be making this up.

Ash's was the sole survivor from her unit, the 212.  I think Jacob was from the 232.  They were dispatched to guard different sites, so it's possible there were more survivors from the other unit.

Jacob clearly states that he saw enough geth on eden prime too last a life time(he says this when yoo are deciding wat too do with legion) I.E. battle of eden prime which is when ashley was posted there as we all know.wheither they knew each other or not is up for speaculation.but without a doubt they were both stationed there at the same time.

No Jacob left the Corsairs before he was on Eden prime, atleast that's what the ME wikia say's. Here:

Jacob eventually left the Corsairs and was assigned to Eden Prime, and was present for the geth attack that nearly destroyed the colony. After Eden Prime, and later the attack on the Citadel, Jacob became disillusioned with the ineffectual bureaucracy of the politicians and quit the Alliance.

Is it ever explained whether the Geth landed in a specific zone, or all over the planet?

He could've been caught out in a engagement elsewhere.

@radohldo they landed in a specific area,around the beacon excavation site.soverign was the only enemy ship presnt at eden prime,the geth landed in it.
