Branching off Xilih-(crap i can't
remember her screen name)'s idea. What if Major Antella, from admiral
hackett's lair of the shadowbroker dossier lured the commander out in
the open and then captured him for interrogation? The interrogators?
Major Antella, and Ashley(or Kaiden), who is sent by Anderson to make
sure Shepard is not an impersonator and to be the Good cop to
Antella's bad cop. They question you about your whereabouts for the
last two years as well as your relationship with Cerberus.

If you act like paragon. The
interrogation goes through as planned and you gain valuable insight
as to what the alliance has been up to for the past two years(reverse
interrogation). You gladly divulge information regarding Cerberus and
convince Ashley/Kaidan that you are who you say you and that the
galaxy needs you to stop the reapers, But the major is convinced that
you're holding back and elects to incarcerate Shepard for several
more months. Ash(or Kaiden) protests but Antella outranks her so
their isn't much she can do. Several hours later in the interrogation
room Shepards bindings come free and an acess card and an ear piece
are slipped under the door to the interrogation room.

If you
act like a renegade Major Antella gets more agressive and Ashley (or
Kaidan) start to become visibly uncomfortable(even more so if you
were her LI) as the interrogation swiftly becomes a torture session.
The Major demands that Shepard relinquish all intel he knows about
Cerberus during the torture session. Of course renegade Shepard being
the badass he is tells him off. Ash(or Kaidan) starts to plead with
the Major to lighten up. The major instead pulls a gun on Shepard,
saying he's going to put a bullet in each extremity he has unless
Shepard talks. Then finally Ash(or Kaiden) has seen enough and knock
the Major out with a punch. They free Shepard and give him thier
acess card as well as the Major's ear piece.

The remainder of
the mission is spent trying to escape the alliance base with the
assistance of ash/kaiden. The base has mechs for security (since
recruitment rates for the alliance has dropped. Along with heavy
casualties from the battle of the citadel)

just realised right before the SR1 went down ahley says "commander" as if she has something big to say after that then she gets ordered to go to the pods so cat say.



i dont think bioware is underselling the VS i think their positivly neglecting them so when we finnally get a dlc it will be amazing and really unexpected

@Jamie - I always heard Ash's "Commander" line as her saying a lot with it.  This is what's so amazing about Kimberly Brooks and her voice acting.  There are so many layers to her delivery of things.  She's fantastic.  When she said that line, I heard: professional respect, but also professional concern, non-professional concern - "Commander" was very much "John" (or whatever your Shep's name is) in that moment.  It was such a complex moment, with one word.  Kudos to Kim.

I find this somewhat doubtful. Liara, while she makes one snide remark about it, is able to take your rejection of her remarkably nonpersonally, given that she helped resurrect you. Why would Ashley be less accepting than Liara in story structure?

I'm not sure what you mean.  You mean you think she's be more calm?  Or you mean you think she'd' flip out?  I don't think she'd be happy, but I don't think she'd flip out.  She would express her hurt and move on.  But Ash is more visceral than Liara.  Liara was sad if you chose someone else but she has a grace about her that allowed it to kind of roll off her back.  Ashley isn't as graceful.  She might initially say some hurtful things out of anger or hurt feelings.

Well if they stay true to her character I think it won't be as pleasant as Liara's acceptance of it.  But I wonder if they'll stay true to her character.  It might very well be a "oh so you're with this person now?  Oh. (sadface)  Well I'm over it.  I hope you and she are happy."  If that's the case I'll be really annoyed, because that is NOT how Ash would respond.

Indeed, although I cant see her picking a fight, she might get vocal, but not throw punches.

Maybe she would say something like this:

Ash: (angry tone) You meant alot to me, but if you moved on, fine. So can I.  I wouldn't give you the satisfaction of fighting over you, I feel sorry for (insert new love interest name)...Now if you excuse me, I have work to do.

I would love for her to maybe give Shepard a punch though and see her drop him in one. then walk away. lol.

I fail to see how Ashley would be justified in being angry at Shepard for getting into a relationship after their conversation on Horizon. If Ash gets pissed at my Shepard that romanced Miranda, I hope I have the option to just go off on her.

The heart is a complicated thing I guess.  I don't know.  I think she would lash out a little, not with violence or anything, but I think she would be hurt, especially given her email, and the fact that for two years she was devastated over him and he wakes up and within a couple months decides it's super easy to move on?  Yeah I wouldn't be too happy with that.

I don't necessarily think him moving on would be the issue.  It's the fact that it's so soon.  It would make her question if she'd ever really meant anything to him at all, and if she didn't, the time she spent being really messed up over him would have seemed like a huge waste and just kind of tragic.

I actually hope Ashley's response show's more emotion than Liara's, if only because I think Liara's response, from what I understand of it (Ive never seen it personally), doesn't strike me as very realistic.

Liara obviously had very strong feelings for Shepard.  I don't think it makes sense that she should just accept that he's moved on without much of an emotional reaction.  Especially given that she basically went to hell and back for Shepard.  I feel like that was rather sloppy writing on Bioware's part.

I'd like to see a better, more realistic reaction with Ashley.  Not a long, drawn out fight, but at least an unhappy, "you jerk" type reaction before she moves on.

That's what I'd like to see, anyway.  It's not necessarily what I expect.

I also think that moving on to one of the ME2 LIs should make it impossible to restart a relationship with Ash, even if you break up with your ME2 LI.  Taking someone back who doesn't seem think enough of her to wait until their relationship can be worked out before moving on doesn't seem very much in character with Ashley.  However, I expect that Bioware won't want to "punish" gamers with, you know, actual consequences for decisions.  So, I don't think that will happen.

Same here.

I've actually started a game or two of ME2 with the intent of trying out the LIs, but I can never go through with it.  I've never experienced the Liara romance in ME1 for the same reason.  Ash and Shepard just seem too well suited for each other for me to try it.
