"players who stay 'loyal' to their mass effect 1 LI will be greatly rewarded in the final instalment"
is it just me or does this tell anyone else that all us Ash fans might not get a Dlc but we will get a great reward in me3 ?

Hopefully "greatly rewarded" doesn't mean credit and mineral bonuses to imported characters who stayed loyal...
Hopefully it means some seriously awsome character interaction with Ash in ME3 for those that romanced Ash from ME1 and stayed loyal through the whole thing.
I hope it aint just an achivement for people on 360, lol.

Well if it's just an achievment, I hope there is one for a Shepard who romanced a different person in all three Mass effects, a achievement called ''space STDs''

If there's going to be a romance scene, I hope it's not in Shepard's cabin. I just know TIM has cameras in there. I mean, I know Liara would be able to intercept the footage and all, but still....
Creepy.
I want Liara watching what Ashley and I might be doing in Shep's cabin even less than I do TIM.
I think a scene in the cabin is fine, who's to say we will be working for TIM anyway, even if he did have camera's, cant Shepard just get EDI to turn them off? and I dont want any silly scenes with Ash like the engine room, nothing against Miranda, she's a great character, but that scene just felt like soft porn and ruined what could have been a love scene, with good taste. Anyway this is getting creepy, moving on...
The release of the PS3 version of Mass effect is almost near, hopefully there will be a dlc (hopefully VS related) in the next couple of weeks. I want this VS dlc so bad, but not as bad as I want them to have a amazing role in ME3! But still...I want it!

Omega Shipyard - Director's Office
Shepard & Ashley - "HOW MUCH???"
Batarian Shipyard Director - "About 300 million, sir"
Ashley - (disbelieving) "Three hundred... million... credits..."
Batarian Shipyard Director - "Yes, ma'am.
Shepard - (outraged) "That's practically a new ship!"
Batarian Shipyard Director - "Normandy will practically BE a new ship when she's fixed, sir..."
Shepard - (exasperated) "But I don't WANT a new ship, I want THIS one... back... as it was."
Batarian Shipyard Director - "There isn't frankly much left of the current vessel... perhaps sir shouldn't have got her quite so badly damaged?"
Joker (off screen) - "Hey, I didn't damage it, I wasn't the one shooting at it; believe me I was trying to AVOID the damage!"
Batarian Shipyard Director - "Alas, sir, the damage didn't avoid you and the repairs stand at 300 million credits."
Tali - "Why don't we strap a nanite armor repairer on and go clog up the outside of the station? That doesn't cost 300 million credits..."
Batarian Shipyard Director - "Ma'am, as I've explained already, it's not just the armor. Normandy's superstructure is in dire need of reinforcing and rennovation as well as most of the internal systems..."
Ashley - (impatient) "Yeah, yeah... I know what you said. Still at least if we're paying THAT much you'll have her ready fast, right?"
Batarian Shipyard Director - (embarrassed) "Err.. 3 weeks, ma'am..."
Shepard & Ash - "HOW LONG???"
Mordin - (sighs while peering though the porthole at the painted-over Cerberus logo on the Normandy's forward hull) "Already missing working for organization with budget..."

Asari take a more philosophical approach to their romantic entanglements. Humans do not. So Liara's quick acceptance of Shepard's moving on is less of an issue than it would be if Ash was equally blase.
Thought: I think I would enjoy it if dumped!Ash told Shepard, "Well, at least now I know why you never bothered responding to my email. Jerk."

If you think about Liara's character versus Ash's even in the "romance conflict" scene from ME1, her reaction to Shepard moving on sort of makes sense. Liara wasn't turned off by the prospect of sharing Shepard with someone else, whereas Ash looked about ready to sucker-punch Shep for the suggestion. (Aside: Ashley's response to that line is probably one of my favorite Ash lines...though I've only ever seen it on YouTube, of course).

Agreed. Given the Asari lifespan and their cultural views to outliving potential partenrs I can understand Liara's eventual acceptance and kindness towards Shepard moving on with somebody else at the end of LOTSB. And the past 2 years working as an information broker, battling the shadow broker have seen her become more...pragmatic and hardened
I don't think Ashley will be quite as accepting somehow

1.) hey i know its been a long time (2.) i always loved you
1.) i broke off from cerberus (2.) im still loyal to the alliance
1.) remember our night before virmire (2.) i hope you feel the same
1.) im ready to make it up to you (2.) when you get back to the citadel drop me an email and we c can talk about us
i imagined the email system could work like this; from each section you choose either option 1 or 2 and the end result is an email which the player has created an example of this is; 1,1,2,1.

Yeah, I cant see Ash being as calm, she calls Shepard a god on Horizon, and tells him she loved him all teary eyed, there's no way she will take it easy, her feelings for him are clearly strong, and she had to put up with rumors of him being alive and working for a terrorist organisation, she's had it hard enough.
With Liara, she knew what Cerberus wanted with Shepard, that he was alive, and what he was doing, plus being a Asari, she might be able to cope with the news better with Asari beliefs and lifespan. The only problem with this is ''I couldn't let you go'' A sweet line, but it kinda makes the idea of her getting over Shepard so easy harder to believe, unless the thought that he is alive is enough for her.

No kidding. Even if Shepard was afraid Cerberus was monitoring his e-mail, or even if they gave him an account that wouldn't allow outgoing messages, you'd still think he'd use a public terminal on the Citadel or something.
Face to face interaction would be good. I still want a VS DLC, and I hope the writers can get Ashley's character right enough to put together a decent LI conversation.

So, if he wrote Thane, that means he was around for ME2.
If so, why didn't they have him write the scene on Horizon?
I'm assuming he didn't, because, wow... that was horrid.

He didn't do Ash in ME2. Here is everything he did from the ME Wiki:
I'm Chris L'Etoile, a former BioWare writer. I've left BioWare to work at ZeniMax Online, and no longer speak with any canonical force.
I've started writing unofficial dev diaries about my ME1 work on my GamerDNA page. I emphasize unofficial. They are my opinion only, and not approved by anyone at BioWare.

Kimberly Brooks (Ashley)- Yes. And I was very excited, yet strangely NOT surprised to see how sexy she was. After all, where would Mass Effect be with out a smokin’ hot Chief Gunnery Officer?

It would suck. That is why me2 sucks. Not enough Ash.
It was, is , and shall be Ashley.
