from the definitive mass effect cast interview:

Kimberly Brooks (Ashley)- Yes. And I was very excited, yet strangely NOT surprised to see how sexy she was. After all, where would Mass Effect be with out a smokin’ hot Chief Gunnery Officer?

She has a point there :D Tbh, without Ash, I wouldn't much care for Mass effect, the most realistic character I have seen in a game, it was Ash that really brought Mass effect alive for me.

The first game especially did a good job at creating a compelling universe, so I think I'd still enjoy Mass Effect without Ash.

Wouldn't enjoy it nearly as much, though.

If there's going to be a romance scene, I hope it's not in Shepard's cabin. I just know TIM has cameras in there. I mean, I know Liara would be able to intercept the footage and all, but still....

Creepy.

I want Liara watching what Ashley and I might be doing in Shep's cabin even less than I do TIM.:bandit:

Party with family. Make sure Sarah didn't drink and drive, that sort of thing. B)

On a more humorous note, here's my take on ME3's opening scene:

Omega Shipyard - Director's Office
Shepard & Ashley - "HOW MUCH???"
Batarian Shipyard Director - "About 300 million, sir"
Ashley - (disbelieving) "Three hundred... million... credits..."
Batarian Shipyard Director - "Yes, ma'am.
Shepard - (outraged) "That's practically a new ship!"
Batarian Shipyard Director - "Normandy will practically BE a new ship when she's fixed, sir..."
Shepard - (exasperated) "But I don't WANT a new ship, I want THIS one... back... as it was."
Batarian Shipyard Director - "There isn't frankly much left of the current vessel... perhaps sir shouldn't have got her quite so badly damaged?"
Joker (off screen) - "Hey, I didn't damage it, I wasn't the one shooting at it; believe me I was trying to AVOID the damage!"
Batarian Shipyard Director - "Alas, sir, the damage didn't avoid you and the repairs stand at 300 million credits."
Tali - "Why don't we strap a nanite armor repairer on and go clog up the outside of the station? That doesn't cost 300 million credits..."
Batarian Shipyard Director - "Ma'am, as I've explained already, it's not just the armor. Normandy's superstructure is in dire need of reinforcing and rennovation as well as most of the internal systems..."
Ashley - (impatient) "Yeah, yeah... I know what you said. Still at least if we're paying THAT much you'll have her ready fast, right?"
Batarian Shipyard Director - (embarrassed) "Err.. 3 weeks, ma'am..."
Shepard & Ash - "HOW LONG???"
Mordin - (sighs while peering though the porthole at the painted-over Cerberus logo on the Normandy's forward hull) "Already missing working for organization with budget..."

paraphrased from Clear Skies, by Ian Chisholm

I guess this is what influenced that shipyard scene in Firefly because I immediately thought of that scene while reading the first sentence.

Hopefully it means some seriously awsome character interaction with Ash in ME3 for those that romanced Ash from ME1 and stayed loyal through the whole thing.

Unfortunately with L'toile gone I don't have much hope for Ash in ME3. :?

I worry about Chris L. not writing Ash. Because he did such a phenomenal job in ME1. Like...I really worry.

And what would Ash do on New Years Eve?  Same thing everyone else does.  Get boozed up and laugh a lot.

Happy New Years everyone!

Wrote this as a prequel to a Miranda short fic with the same singing shepard that romanced Ashley in ME1

OUT-OF-GAME NOTICE: The Cerberus Daily News will begin a hiatus on January 24th, finishing its run of one full year. Daily postings will cease except for three weeks in 2011: a week of posts will precede a downloadable content release, and two more weeks will lead up to the release of Mass Effect 3. The CDN team thanks fans for their attention, comments, and feedback (both in and out of character!). We are sorry to go, but we had fun -- we hope you did, too!”

Now would be the time to make clear that if there is one DLC left, it should focus on the VS.

So, yeah, Bioware... We want VS DLC. We want to fight with Ash at our side again.

So just one more DLC pack? I'm guessing it won't be out until summer. But yeah, I throw my hat in for it to be a VS DLC.

Somebody made the point that they don't specifically say that there will be only one more DLC pack. It could be that there will be more than one, but that Cerberus Daily News will only resume for a week before one of them.

I agree, though, it does seem to HINT that only one is left.  And if Liara got one, then the VS better get one too.

Ugh.  Never purchased the ones that are available now.

I'll only pay for story.  Not new weapons.  Not to play Space Marine Dress Up.  For story.

Oh well that's nice to know. that we'll get Cerbeus news a week before a DLC. I think it'll tell us what it's about if it's a story DLC like LoSTB.

I think the only thing they could conceivably do is bridging story dlc and the only thing that sounds even remotely interesting to me is Alliance related dlc. And it is simply not possible for them to exclude Ash and Kaidan from that. If they do it's simply a blatant f you to the fans.

what the hell does this mean other then the cerebus news will stop for most of the year ? help me out here someone its starting to annoy me xD and yeah i think theres a good chance that if tey have one more dlc left then it has to be a VS one as liara got one and they would loose a lot of fans if they dont give us what we want.

One Friday Evening at the Shepards'...

Kid: "Good evening, Mr Shepard... (notices the scarring and the battered N7 armor on a nearby stand)... er... wow..."
Shepard (calling up the staircase): "Lily, your date's here to pick you up!"
Ashley (raising her head up from the kitchen counter and the old Avenger assault rifle she was cleaning, smiling): "That's Peter, right? Come on in!"
Kid (gulping):"Er... yes ma'am..."
Samara (entering behind the Kid): "You WILL bring her back after the movie, no later than 22:00 tonight."
Kid (startled, then turning to face Samara) "Yes ma'am! Of course I..."
Samara: *___*
Shepard: "Ground floor bathroom's the first door on the left, kid... you should change your underwear before Lily comes down..."
Kid: "...er... yes, sir!"
Ashley (chuckling): "Stop scarring the poor kid! He'll never want to come back!!!"
Samara (the ghost of a smile curling her lips): "If he's back by 22:00, he has nothing to fear..."
Lily (overhearing the grown-ups): " DADDY!"

If Ash and Shep ever had a daughter she's never dating. Not because they wouldn't allow it, but because no teenage kid would ever have the guts. Plus a person made of both Shepard and Ashley would be mega person and few people could actually handle them. Hehehe.
