Heh, there was a discussion the other day on the Ash OT thread about who would be invited to Shepard and Ash's wedding.

I think that Khalisah Al-Jilani (the annoying reporter from the Citadel) will just show up and camp outside the wedding, even though she's not invited.

And then Ash punches her:devil:

Judging by the Shadow Broker footage, Al-Jilani seems to get punched/kicked/pushed a lot. I wonder if she can even feel it anymore.

Of course, Ash is trained in Marine hand to hand - so I'm sure she can make her feel it.

Nah. She won't even know about the wedding of my Shep and Ash because it will be a spur of the moment thing while on vacation somewhere beachy a few years down the line. Pretty much everyone except Shepard and Ashley will miss it.

On-topic: This punching Al-Jilani gag has got me thinking.  If Ash could punch one character in the ME universe, consequence-free, who do you think it'd be?

Part of me wants to say Shepard, for being such an idiot on Horizon.
However, I'm going to take a different approach here and say Liara.  I mean, how could you do a little thing like help bring Shepard back from the dead and not tell anyone?  And on top of that you give him/her to Cerberus?  WTH!  Someone should have an emotional reaction to that information, in my humble opinion.  Since it wasn't Shepard (who pretty much just shrugs it off for some reason), it could be Ash.

Hah! As soon as you asked this question, my first thought was: "Shepard, because the first thing he said to her after two years was, 'Hi, how ya been.'"

As for other people... Maybe the Turian Councilor, especially if he were to ever try his "Ah yes, 'reapers'" catch phrase around her.

Maybe Miranda, if Ash were to find out she came on to Shepard while their own relationship was still unsettled. Though I'm not sure Ash would use physical violence there... More likely she'd just work in a snarky comment or two, especially if Miranda were ever to mention being "designed to be perfect" while she's around Ash.

I can imagine Ashley using her consequence free punch on Wrex, just to see how she could fare against a Krogan, andthen Wrex compliments her or teases her based on the force. "you've got some bite their Williams" or "you call that a punch, you barely knocked the dust off my plates."

Speaking of Krogan... I think Grunt's loyalty mission is one of (many) where I wish I could bring Ash along.

With Ash along, suddenly taking on a Thresher Maw seems less intimidating.

Actually... That would be awesome for her to have an ability that Shepard lacks.

Shepard is such a badass that at times he seems to outshine the other characters a bit too much. I think having Ash being more capable of handling the Revenant would make him seem a little more human.

Also, her inevitable teasing, especially when she's a LI, would make for priceless dialouge.

I 100% want Immunity to come back!  Especially for my Vanguards!  Can you imagine Immunity and Charge together?  It would be like Jack's mega-mech punch in the cutscene of her recruitment mission!

You know, talking about banter between Ash and Shep... It makes me wonder if might not be fun to be able to have a sparring match with Ash - and maybe some of the other squad - back on the ship. Kind of like those matches that Garrus talked about from back when he was in the Turian military. Could be a good opportunity for some real banter there.

I'm not sure how this would be implimented, though.

I was wondering myself how Ash would have reacted to Joker for his part in the Commander getting spaced, initially at least. I suppose that anything she would have done Joker would have done to himself three fold, but with Joker the reason why Shepard went back (and used his last moments to save his friend) and joining Cerberus (probably in Ash's eyes, I think, pretty much spitting on all Shepard stood for, mine at least)... I don't think if the ol' team gets back together in ME3 that they would get on very well at all, despite their history fighting Saren. My view anyways.

And like said earlier: Liara. My Shepard was not so happy once he found out (what was the quote... "*You* did this to me!" or something like it) but he came to understand some of the logic behind what she did. It probably wasn't complete black and white as Liara put it (Cerberus or the Collectors) but she did what she had to do, even if her attachment to Shepard was her main reason for it. I think Ash would understand... eventually. Maybe after hearing/ seeing what Shepard had been doing with Cerberus against the Collectors... aaaanndd after showing Liara a little marine hand-to-hand.
