*a lot of nonsense*
I'm sorry, normally I don't feed the trolls, but seriously, how much effort does it take to be respectful of female characters? This is one instance where I cannot but whip out the feminist credentials; what you've written is a load of offensive, sexist tripe.
Yes, Miranda and Ashley are women. Yes, they're attractive. No, that is not what defines them. Moreover, that is not what determines a woman's worth. Nothing infuriates me as much as the objectification of a character. From what you've written, I doubt that you took any time in game to get to know either character (as much as one can claim to 'get to know' a fictional character). Had you done so, you would realize that there's a lot more to each of them then their ability to titillate or perform fellatio. Not only is each a complex character with her own interests, priorities and prejudices, but neither one of them views a relationship with Shepard as the be-all, end-all of her existence. Ash even says it right to Shepard: "I don't need money, a knight in shining armor, or a man to make me happy. This is who I am...I like her."
Everyone who posts on this thread likes Ashley as well. Even if they don't, they're mature enough to respect her as a human being. Please go away, and take your inability to view women as more than sex toys with you.
Edit: Grammar fixed.
Nicely said.
To be honest, though, I've more or less stopped reading the anti Ash and anti Kaidan posts. I think most of the people who are behind them are lost causes.
A key point in your statement, I think, is "I doubt that you took any time in game to get to know either character." I've found that there seem to be a lot of people who stopped talking to Ash after one or two conversations. Often it's the one where she expresses concern for having aliens on the Normandy. For whatever reason, many seem to find that so "off putting" that they don't bother talking to her again, and never really get to know her.
I've never been able to understand that, myself. If I pay good money for a game, why on Earth would I want to skip content? Personally, I want to get to know every character as much as possible, even if I don't think I like them - because each character and each conversation is likely in the game for a reason.
I dunno. Maybe I just don't understand other gamers very well. All I know is that ever since I first came here, I've been shocked by how bad the anti-Ash and anti-Kaidan stuff has been. I really don't even bother with many threads outside of the Ash and Kaidan support for that reason. The only other place I really post is the Kasumi support thread.

A man to make me Happy...I think by Horizon on ME2 she kinda of needed a man to make her happy in some form. How does everyone else feel about that Quote from Ashley after ME2?
I think Ash was shaken by Shepard's death. That's understandable. Anyone would be shaken by the death of a loved one. I think she handeled it just like she handeled the death of her father, and worked through it with prayer and poetry.
Long term, I still don't think she needs a man. I think she was moving on quite well - perhaps even better than Kaidan when he loses femShep - when Shepard reappeared on Horizon and opened old wounds.
