No one knows the name of the model, though.

I also see Ash an outdoor type. Hiking, jogging, rock climbing, camping. These are all great "dates" too as far as she's concerned.
I feel like she also loves history and reading about it and watching documentaries.
And when she's with her sisters they watch reality vids and laugh at how dumb people are and throw things at the screen.
I think she loves food and just in general having a great laid back time. I can see her appreciating sports, but I don't see her being full on into them. Maybe she played something in high school.
She also loves the way a great pair of heels makes her long legs look, but she doesn't dress up often. When she does, she rocks it and she knows it.

This... doesn't follow. Religion is a choice, species isn't. The two types of discrimination, while similar in that they're discrimination, aren't referring to the same kind of thing at all.How can you judge someone for apparenlty being ''racist'' if you hate religious people! Get yourself a education, you judgemental, pathetic, fool.
Also, Mark Millar said that the pro-regs in Civil War were the good guys. The fact that someone's author said something doesn't mean that people can't interpret the universe differently.

Well you could argue that religion can be a equal if not more important trait in a person just like race/species. Though it is not inherited religion helps us define the self. Our beliefs and ideas make our personality, and not everyone agrees on beliefs and ideas. Especially humans. Which is why people of different religions sometimes have conflicts.
Basically, they aren't discriminating what's on the outside. They are discriminating whats on the inside.

The thing is, though, that discriminating against what's on the inside isn't necessarily bad. In fact, when we knock people for being discriminating, we're discriminating what's on their insides.
Yes, however there isn't much if anything bad to discriminate against Ashley. She believes in god which really isn't a bad thing. As long as she isn't a zealot(and she isn't she only ever brings it up when she talks about her dead father or Kaiden dying). She is a caring sister. She likes poetry. AND YES SHE IS XENOPHOBIC. However blaming her for being xenophobic is like blaming a child for falling off their bike after you take off the training wheels(One that has a very nasty history with bike accidents I might add). She hasn't had any previous interaction with aliens. You can't blame her for being cautious.
If it wasn't obvious enough i would like to give a resounding yes to ADlegends question.

That'd be the case if the vast majority, and sadly in this case it is the majority, didn't simply write her off as being, and I quote, "a racist *****!" There's a difference between not accepting any criticisms and choosing to write off baseless claims. Sadly, most discussions about Ashley tends to evoke the latter.

I'm not contesting that, just that direct comparisons between discrimination based on species and on religion aren't valid.PrinceLionheart wrote...

I would have to disagree. True, religion is ultimately choice while race is not, but the actual discrimination against either is still exactly the same.

I'd be interested in dating her. I doubt she'd be interested in dating me.

Ashley is not racist. It has been proven. No point in arguing about it. When the person who wrote the dialog for her says she is not a racist the argument is over. Enough.

However, I knew this one girl in undergrad, literally the coolest person I have ever met, and I was always amazed that she considered me her friend. I feel like I might feel about Ash the same way I feel/felt about this friend.
Edit: Because I liked Badpie's caption for this pic better than my original...

Hmmm he looks like quite the badass. I guess the Williams family must have the 'badass gene' somewhere in there, cause you know, it clearly is present in his granddaughter.
Also as a side note, I reported the rather nasty and seriously blatantly necroed and 'gone on for too long' Ashley hate thread. I was blunt with my view of it but I also tried to be polite, now we can play the waiting game.
EDIT: Also when it comes to dating Ash....
I dunno, I mean while she's a great character and I love the idea of Shepard with her, I think me, myself would have a little difficulty catching up because she's so badass and tough and I'm just kind of a nerd.
Gee, that makes me wonder how much I value myself.
But seriously strong political views and military ties aside, I reckon I could give dating her a try in the real world but ultimatley I think she would prefer someone equally as tough who could date her on even terms. I of course mean Shepard.

So what's the deal with grandpappy in Evolution? Any interesting plot moments or anything. I always thought it would be a good "WOAH WTF?" reveal if we found out General Williams was involved in the birth of Cerberus.
