It's been a little while since I last wrote here in the Ashley thread, because of work and little free time. I've just made a new video dedicated to Ashley & Shepard, and I want to share with you all. Hope you like it!

I feel it boils down, in part, to a large segment of players who are incapable of handing the idea of a strong woman, with her own opinions, unless that woman also feels compelled to make up for it by shoving her behind into tight pants and waving it in front of your face the entire game.

I think it's mostly these two.... it's been said so many times that Ash is "racist" , therefor people who haven't even experienced Ash for themselves believe, without a doubt, that she indeed is a racist.

AND

that she is a strong women and fights for what she wants.... that she isn't just a piece of meat for the humping like they want her to be.

Nicely done. it's on it's way to becoming a bad-a** piece of fan art. And if you don't shamelessly promote these things, the people who would want to see it most might not get to. So i'm all for it!

Edit:  to be honest..  nothing brightens my day quite like the sight of the lovely Ashley Williams with a big gun in her hand.

lol!  I'm not surprised.  The idea of Ash with a big gun in her hand does spring some dirty thoughts to mind.  There's just no "right" way of saying it.

Hey, what kind of music do you guys think Ash listens to?  i always imagined her as a Rolling Stones or classic rock person myself.  She seems practical and not the type to subscribe to techno or anything like that. 

I'll bet Ash appreciates the classics.

Tbh, I think Ash likes a wide taste of music, and seeing that Mass effect is in the future, I am sure there are plenty of new genres of music Ash would like.



I can see her listening to classic rock, but she seems to like the clubbing scene alot, so maybe some electronic music, like House, ambient trance, Dubstep, D&B ect. Seeing as she likes poetry, I assume she may enjoy some hip hop, real hip hop though, not the sh*t on tv that promotes crime and drugs ect. And like I said above, a few genres that are yet to be invented.

I think she digs rock, but I think she also has a secret love of upbeat pop songs.  I picture her kind of bopping and dancing a little  and singing badly (I feel like she's a terrible singer) while she cleans guns sometimes.  And I think she likes to go out dancing with the girls on occasion.  Where I see her liking classical poetry, I feel like she would think classical music is snorezville.

Probably she'd be similar to the regular soldier setup: Concussive shot, maybe inferno ammo and disrupter ammo.

I think she should have a unique bonus skill, though.  Personally, I think it would be interesting for her bonus skill to be some sort of hand to hand combat ability, since we know she began learning marine hand to hand at an early age.  However, I'm not sure how this would be implimented in a way that makes sense or is useful for gameplay purposes.

Others have suggested that she should have the ability to use heavy weapons, but I could see that backfiring.  Squadmembers don't always aim well.
