Do you think that Ultimate sacrifice achievement or w/e it's called mean death of VS? I'm kinda leaning towards that idea.
I think it's unlikely, but I still fear the possibility.

I seriously doubt it, for several reasons:
1. I don't think that Bioware are THAT stupid to kill one of Shepard possible LI in a DLC.
2. Ultimate sacrifice is supposed to be "ultimate". I doubt it's about a Bioware-chosen squad member of ME1 who isn't necessarily a LI.
3. From what I read about this DLC, there is nothing to indicate that Ash or Kaiden will even appear in the Arrival DLC.
Although I found out that there are already a lot of detailed information and spoilers because of some xml files or something like that. If you want to read it, go ahead, but please don't post it here as it's both spoilers and off-topic.
I think it's more of a VS-supporters-being-over-paranoid that lead to this conclusion, over any actual info to suggest it.

Ok, inspired by this thread and the recent news, I decided to sketch or doodle this little idea for you all...maybe "Arrival" means this:
Awesome
"arrival of Shep and Ash to Shep's parents place" ^^

You're probably right. We are hard-pressed to see how we could possibly be handed a shorter end of an already short stick, so naturally we assume something even worse.
But everything's just speculation at this point. We still don't know anything, as we haven't since ME2 was released.

Exactly. The best thing we can do right now is to wait until ME3 is out and THEN go to Bioware HQ and hug/burn everyone there

Way awesome picture. As for the message, I...I don't even want to tease myself with hope...
From what little I know, "Arrival" sounds like it's own little story...along the lines of "Firewalker" and "Overlord"...and those weren't bad, but I feel a bit spoiled having played "Lair of the Shadow Broker". You made a fair point, Ash/Kai wouldn't have to be the center to be in it, but...seems odd that they would be secondary.
That's not to say I wouldn't take it, though...if Ash just had a minute's worth of dialogue, I'd...at least be happy she hasn't yet been brushed aside.

Oh God, I remember seeing those. So cute I could just puke. I think the bomber jacket is an awesome look for her.

If you don't mind what could possibly be a spoiler, go read the January 22nd and 23rd (2011) Cerberus Daily News entries. Pay close attention to the major players that are mentioned.

Alliance and Batarian? Are you sure you have the right dates?

So I think Arrival will be arrival of the reapers on Earth and the galaxy in general and the focus of ME3 will be kicking them out. So it's likely our beloved Ashley, if they show the VS at all, will probably only be a few minutes of dialogue (which I'm okay with as long as they let her and Shep get back together!) if anything.

Yeah, that's right. From all of the stuff that folks have deduced so far, it sounds like it might be based around the Skyllian Verge, between the Batarians and the Alliance, as long as the Alliance is prominent in the story, there is always a chance that Ash/Kaidan and maybe even Hackett could be important within the content.
Hey, I don't give up easy.

Her conclusion? “Only a small fraction of the mass effect relays date back 50,000 years,” she writes, “The majority are far older, indicating they were created by a species predating even the Protheans.”
So, with that in mind, we can do a little look up on the Leviathan of Dis(Skyllian Verge). Not much study done on it because the Batarians hid the damn thing, but it was presumed to be almost a billion years old.
Maybe the Leviathan marks the arriving point for whatever arrives in Arrival.
I could very well see Liara (the new SB) giving Shepard the info about Hackett or Anderson, sending some Alliance into the Verge to look for or chase a lead concerning the Leviathan with the good Dr Kenson in tow....maybe Ash/Kaidan accompany this special mission. Remember, the old SB planted a spy in order to keep an eye on Hackett.

Not at all the character you rescue is probably gonna sacrifice her self in some way. And bioware said that the VS has to be in ME3.keboo wrote...
