Pure Greatness!!
I'm guessing that the animations are from the game as well? Never paid too much attention to the dance moves there...
Another quick question... when you extract the models from the game, do they come with the rig as well?
Yeah, you unpack them as a psk, and then you import the entire psk into MAX, which includes Skin and the rig

Hi all! I finally finished the first mega chapter of my Shepard and Ashley fic. It involves Ash having to rescue Shepard from Cerberus with the help of the Elysium police. Lots of corruption, secrets, and gratuitous shooting violence.

Action packed and very entertaining. I enjoyed this....

Just finished playing ME for the second time. Enjoyed all the Ash scenes all over again. Now replayed ME2 and mentally preparing myself for major suckitude in the Ash arena. How sad am I, I play the whole ME2 game looking forward to that 40 second scene where he looks at her photo (before hitting the omega 4 relay) as much as I looked forward to consummating the relationship in the first game. Well, almost.
It sucks b/c there really isn't anything to look forward to Ash wise in ME2. The picture scene is just about it. The email is nice, but it just reminds you of what just happened on horizon and the awesomeness that happened in ME1.
Ugh, Ash better be in ME3 and she better be more than a damn cameo!!!!

Hey you know what's MESSED up? If you romanced Miranda in ME2, in LotSB Liara mentions that you've had quite an effect on softening Miranda's personality, because Miranda cares for you romantically. Great, so those who romance the new chick get ADDITIONAL story development / further-ment, which only leaves those of us loyally waiting for Ash even further in the dust. Hmmph.

This is my third playthrough of ME2. Miranda keeps looking better and better. But I just love my Shep loving Ash so much it's not even really tempting. It does make me want to create a new character in ME2 (with no ME1 history) so I can score Miranda without cheating on Ash.

Yeah, it's rather lame.... I romanced miranda once with a shepard that romanced ashley, b/c I want to see what the "consequences" are gonna be for cheating. (Bioware said there were supposed to be some... lol, I'll believe that when I see it.) But when I walked into the captain's quarter afterwards and saw Ash's picture overturned. I felt HORRIBLE. I had to reload the save and turn miranda down. lol

I loooove your story too! You've got Ash's personality down to a t. Can't wait for the next chapter!

I would beg you to not join the Dark Side, but...my main femShep stayed single so she could get with Garrus one I heard the news so...yeah, no place to judge, heh.
I still think about making new Shepards because after so many playthroughs I feel the ones I have belong with their designated love interests, and...I can't cheat. Even with pixels, it feels wrong, or at least it gives me no satisfaction. To my original point, I think about it, but...maybe playing as a femShep, or just a Shepard not looking for a new romance, ruins some of these would be romances. Male or female, I didn't need to prove anything to Ashley. Even with some troubling feelings, she had my back.
Seriously, I like how people will defend Miranda's or Jack's initial ****iness as emotional barriers, but somehow Ashley doesn't deserve that much credit.
And yes...I was looking forward to playing LotSB as my Ash-loving dudeShep, hoping for maybe ten seconds of some inclination that he was still holding that torch for her. Not that it makes no sense...they are...taking a break, best case scenario. But it was disappointing that the only possible way of mentioning her was just...scornful, pushing her away even more...I don't know, I guess I can just pretend my Shepard is so emotionally reserved and hardened, he wouldn't think to share something like that. Not like he was super friendly with Liara anyway, inviting her was just courteous XD

I'm quite interested in Miranda myself, but I can never go through with the romance for the same reasons. I tend to roleplay a version of the same motivations into my Shep - he feels a real connection with Miranda, but it's nowhere near what he feels for Ash. As tempted as he might be, he doesn't want to get involved with anyone else until he has another chance to work things out with Ash.
I think what I'll ultimately do is see where the next DLC and ME3 take the relationship with Ash. If she's not in the DLC and she only gets a small role in ME3, then I might rewrite my "canon" Shepard to move on to Miranda, especially if she's on the squad in ME3.
Ash is my favorite LI, but to be honest, the VS relationship starts to get a bit discouraging after a bit. If Bioware isn't going to give it a chance to develop in any significant way in future DLCs and installments, then I think I might as well get used to the idea of giving up on it.

I could not agree more with your thoughts. Same for me - I'm going to hold off until I see where Bioware takes the relationship with Ash in the next DLC and ME3. If it's disappointing, then what I'll do is start up two distinct ME2 playthroughs: One where I didn't romance anyone (so Miranda wouldn't be someone I cheated with and we could have a "pure" relationship) and a second playthrough where I take my canon Shep who loved Ash and use him to get with Miranda. That way I can play ME3 twice through and see what happens if you have a pure relationship with Miranda vs. getting with Miranda after you were with Ash. However, I'm still hoping that we get some good Ash lovin' in the next DLC (not holding my breath) or ME3 (a little more hope), but at the same time I am doing like DWH and managing my expectations downward so if there isn't any getting back together with Ash then I'm mentally prepared to be gettin' wif Miranda.
You know what's pretty sad, the closest I felt to Ashley in ME2 was when you talk to Yeoman Chambers after the Horizon mission, she asks if Ashley was special to you and if memory serves you can either reply not really or you can say "I miss her." Telling Chambers that you miss Ashley and seeing Shep talk about her with love in his voice (if I recall) was about the only part of Ash-related ME2 that I liked.
If I also recall, you can talk to Joker right after the Horizon mission too and he mentions running into Ash. If you select the top / paragon response, you'd think Shep would says something sweet about Ash but instead he says something like "The mission is too important". If you select the bottom / renegade response, I can't remember but I think it's like Shep says he doesn't care. Only the middle response actually conveys Shep's feelings for Ashley. Seems like forever since I selected those, I'm sure I'll go through it again soon on my current playthrough. Which the wife is now pretty unhappy about, I just finished the original Mass Effect (again) and now I'm starting up ANOTHER game (ME2, again), she is not happy.
EDIT: I have always known this but playing ME2 again I realized that I am quite a pig. I can't for some reason seem to look at Miranda's eyes whenever she is on the screen. I stare squarely at her breasts.

lmao!
as for the scene where you talk to Kelly about Ashley after Horizon... I completely agree. It's the only time (if you choose the paragon response) that Shep shows real emotion for what happened with Ash. It drives me nuts everytime i play ME2! I feel like i just run through the majority of the game just so i can relive those few moments of Ash-time all over again. *cracks open beer* Here's to hoping for some quality time with Ash in ME3...

My Shepard is a paragon, but I always pick the bottom option for that conversation. It shows how angry and frustrated he is about Horizon, losing Ash, and his current situation in general. He just loses it for a few seconds, even if he probably does feel bad about it later.

I remember it was something along the lines of:
"She is an incredible woman, strong, brave and determined. I can't help housing some degree of emotion to her."
Not an exact quote but something like that. Anyway, that's how my Shepard percieves things, I like to pretend that he's an optimist who borders on denial. Wanting to believe so strongly that he can be reuintied with the woman he loves despite all that's come between them, and that his last action before the suicide mission was to gaze longingly at her photo reflects that.
He's determined and hopeful and while Horizon hurt, he's not about to give up. He cares for her way to much to just forget about her. Hopefully he'll get his wish granted in Mass Effect 3.

.....annnnnd, you would be right!
they're just sooo... out there.
and yeah... about the responses...
I can never remember which one says which, especially in the joker conversation. So inevitably I end up choosing the wrong one... and then having to reload so that I don't mess up the only Ash content in ME2. lol
Also, I tend to leave the email marked as unread, even though I've read it.... trying to not have a final end to Ash in ME2 I suppose. lol
