What aspects of Ashley's personality would you like to see get elaborated on or shown in more detail in any upcoming DLC or just in Mass Effect 3?

It's unlikely (although we have been promised a return to more humorous days in ME3, despite claims that the story will 'darker') but I'd like to hear more "blastin' bad guys with ma boomstick" and "it always helps to RTFM" type wisecracks. I'd love to know where she gets her penchant for dry humor.

What you have to keep in mind, in Ash's case, too, is that prior to ME1 she likely hadn't even seen many aliens, let alone worked with them. Her attitude is probably about on par with most of humanity, to be honest.

I doubt it is. Shepard and Kaidan are exceptional.

Were it not for that, the Alliance military and political leadership would be justified in blowing a gasket if they found out that unvetted foreign nationials were being given full access to a state of the art warship.

The Alliance would blow a gasket about a lot of things. But the mission goes beyond Alliance concerns.

So true. Ash might not be scientific like Liara, but she is the most street smart character in ME1, being the only one who is suspiscious of people she doesn't know, espescially if they have personal goals and quests that are not in the mission parameters. Characters like Ash are revered in crime dramas and noir films for their sense of humor and unique motivations, but I can't see why she isn't well recieved by so many people here.

Erm... no. I'd say Wrex is quite a bit more street smart than Ashley is, having centuries more experience, and Garrus' time as a C-SEC officer give him a noted experience advantage. And Ashley is far from the only person to show suspicion towards the suspicious.

You have a point, Kaidan, Garrus, and Wrex have had a lot more experience dealing with people than Ashley does, but Ash has enough discretion to keep her career and personal lives seperate, despite her family history with the military, she has hidden her feelings of anger for Alliance Brass and politics in general unless directly asked.  She is cautious, like most people in the game, but she has no Max Payne-esque backstory to explain her drive to be a good soldier and a careful person.  She refuses to join Shepard because she is sticking to her guns, choosing her duty above everything else.  She knows how politics work and does the best she can with what little experience she has, earning my respect right away.

Silver is high on cold medicine and Charlie Sheen right now, but is that someone playing as Ash in ME2 using a mod? I think that Reed managed to do that in one of his playthroughs using gibbed.

I don't think it's a mod because it gives a code for that face.

I'm gonna try that code out now, lol. I doubt it will make Ash, Ashley's hair isn't a option in the sliders.

Edit: It's close to being Ash, just wrong hair, as Ashley's hair isn't a option, and for some reason there was no eye brows, I added some though, lol. Although it's probably as close as you can get on sliders, it dosen't look too much like her.

It only works if you use gibbed and know exactly what facial codes and meshs and what not to input....
I have a place bookmarked that gives you the right codes, but I'm not on my home computer right now. I'll give them to you when I finally get there if you want.

FYI, it's more than just changing your face codes. There are other values (like meshs) to change in the gibbed editor.

However, you can't get the hair unless you have a PC, on the 360 with the gibbed editer the hair is always white. :(

This has probably been discussed before, but I couldn't find anything by searching, so I have a question for you Ashley fans:

Is it said anywhere that Ashley is specifically Christian? Everyone seems to assume this since she says she believes in God, but who knows what creed she's professing? She could just as well be a Muslim, a Mormon, a Jew, a Jehova's Witness, a deist, just a theist, etc. She never goes into details.

Being a Christian myself, I have nothing against the thought of Ashley possibly being a Christian. I just find it funny that most people automatically jump to the conclusion that anyone who happens to believe in God must surely be a Christian, especially if they have a reserved attitude towards aliens.

What do you think? Would it be weird if she turned out to be Muslim, for example?

There is nothing to say anything definitive about which specific faith she identifies with. L'Etoile wisely left it vague. The assumptions that she is Christian are just that; assumptions.

Yeah, we don't really know for sure what religion Ash is.

It's even more complicated when you account for the fact that, by 2183, there could be any number of religions that don't exist today, as well as new variations of current religions.

I don't think assuming she's Christian is an entirely unreasonable leap, but all the information we get from the game is pretty vague. Although she does mentioned that she also believes in a "final judgment."

To be honest, I would first guess she probably has a fairly unspecific belief in God. I know it was deliberately left that way to avoid people getting offended or whatever, but my first guess would be to take that at face value.

Seconded. Remember, when the Prothean ruins (and subsequent arrival on the galacitc stage) were found on Mars, the codex notes how some religions either: folded, changed dogma, didn't change.

I think it is general belief in God. She says that people are weirded out by her faith which leads me to believe that most religions are either so few or not clearly defined anymore.

Interesting topic. Well, I guess it has something at least to do with the language, as I think that most English speakers are Christian. If someone was to say that he believes in God in Hebrew however, then It would be common to think that he's a Jew.

Amm, you mean the DLC maybe? ;)
It's well known by now that the last DLC before ME3 is called "Arrival",
there is quite a lot information about it in its thread in the General Descussions forum I think.
From what I know there's nothing to suggest that Ashley (or Kaidan) will be included in it.
You can go there to read about it but please don't write any spoiling information here unless
it does involve Ash.

If she was in it... yes, indeed it would be awesome.

I just don't think she will be. :(
