Ok this coudl be a good discussion. Why do you think it's the good doctor? She is the one that published the paper about dust in the gravity wells. We know she will be in the DLC, but I have seen nothing that tells me she is an undercover operative. You might be right, but I'm not convinced yet.
I know everyone is trying to keep their expectations down for fear of being disappointed, so maybe I need to just shut up, and wait another week and a half.
One of the leaked Achievements for Arrival was "Rescue Dr. Kenson", and since this deep cover operative is also being 'rescued', this would seem to suggest their identity.
Yeah I can see that connection. Although the announcement mentions rescuing an operative, there is nothing to say that a temp squadmate for Shepard in this dlc couldn't be the survivor working for the Alliance, much like Liara was a temp in LotSB.
So, in regards to the rescue, I bend to your logic without swaying my thinking that Ash/Kaidan will also be in there as well.

Guys.... I have a feeling we will be seeing Ash in this DLC.. Beyond that I cannot say much more.. It's just a feeling.

My only arguement is asking the question: How could the survivor not be in it?
Seriously, it involves rescuing an Alliance operative and Hackett is involved. (By the way I agree with whoever asked what the big deal was about Hackett. I didn't really think of him as a major character)
So if Bioware is looking to provide some hope now is the perfect time to do it. They have absolutely nothing to lose, so there is no reason not to.

I will be very disappointed if it's some random alliance marine or something like that. And all though some of you guys make not like Hackett, some people are also excited by the fact this with this DLC Hackett will be able to put Shepard back into the Alliance and out of Cerberus - if he wants to be out of Cerberus.
Also, I liked Hackett, it's cool to see him. He had a cool voice, and is one of the few Alliance guys that really believes and sticks with Shepard. And has alot of respect for him.

What if we don't want to go back to the alliance? Hopefully, you don't have to.... then again, you didn't get to choose if you wanted to work with cerberus or not. =/
You make a good point Sarge, but if it comes down to choosing the Alliance and having Ash as a squaddie, or staying with Cerberus and not having Ash at all... what would you do? Which brings me to my next question...
If this ^ is an actual scenario in ME3 or perhaps even part of the Arrival DLC... How would you guys handle it? I mean... that would be quite the fork in the road for some people.. Me personally... I'd go back to the Alliance, but not just for Ash.. I didn't want to join Cerberus in the first place.. Though i'm not 100% thrilled with the Alliance either, they're certainly the lesser of two evils imo.

It needs a third option, you know not joining Cerberus or the Alliance. Just Freelance like in ME2 for the most part. Cerberus was there for intel and the ship (which my ass is keeping.) Alliance was not there for the most part, would have been nice to have some missions to do for them (even if they where crappy.) Really I have no way to know for sure, it all depends on the profile import used.

I've actually answered this question before, but I don't mind doing so again.
If it comes down to cerberus/no ash ... alliance/ash .... I'm going alliance every time. I'd give it all up to get Ashley back, so ... that's not even a choice with me even though I prefer Cerberus over the Alliance for the simple fact that... Cerberus brought me back to life, while the alliance didn't give a flying flip. Cerberus, to me, seems like the more competent of the two factions. Plus they fit with my shepard better, playing a renegade that stops at nothing to save the galaxy... the alliance doesn't quite fit imo.
Like I said though, if the only way to get Ash is to go back... I'm there in a flash.

Yes, I see what you mean. A third option would make more sense too
because the two I posted are the extremes.. There would be a third
option in reality like what you mentioned with freelancing. I hope in
that case we get to keep the SR-2. I'm not giving it up if I can help
it either.

If you go freelance you'd still need funding, but Liara could replace Ceberus for the intel side. I'm really hoping freelance is an option, though I'm sure TIM would still send intel and suggestions anyway.

This seems like a real option to me.... or at least it should be one, b/c really.... what was the point of Liara becoming the SB if she isn't going to be in a powerful position to help shepard aganist the reapers!?

Ugh I hate clicking on Ash art on DA only to find out it bashes her -.-
I know exactly what you mean.. Ya try to see if there's any new Ash art out there and you will stumble across some really awful stuff mixed in with the great. Makes me sad, but mostly angry that there are people out there willing to put in time to make such abominations. If only they could see Ash through our eyes... Then there would be even more great Ash art out there. Fortunatley, we've got Chignon and Badpie who have made the best Ash art i've seen. Their awesome work definately overshadows the bad for me.

Oh snap had an idea. What are your thoughts on replacing the Cerberus Logo on the SR-2 with other Logo's/Craft art (think WW2 Aircraft nose art)? I think you know I would put an image of HK-47 on the hull of the SR-2....I kid even thou it would be awesome as Hell to have HK-47, I would put Ashley on the Hull.

I would go back with the Alliance. No questions asked. There are a lot of reasons not to go with Cerberus and I don't want to take up a lot of space, so I'll keep it to this:
