I would go back with the Alliance. No questions asked. There are a lot of reasons not to go with Cerberus and I don't want to take up a lot of space, so I'll keep it to this:
The Alliance has:
My girl Ash
David Anderson
Need I say more?

You left out Admiral Hackett.

I don't mind serving on a new ship.Although the SR-1 was just a prototype, it was a succes. I wouldn't be surprised if the Alliance have started building new sister ships that are upgraded with the newest technology available. So Cerberus can have the SR-2, jacob and Miranda back. I happily replace them with Liara as intel officer an Ash as second in command.
Dame it, still need a new weapons specialist. I know Ash did this in the first game but as my new second in command she can't be bothered with cleaning rifles

Mila,

It needs a third option, you know not joining Cerberus or the Alliance. Just Freelance like in ME2 for the most part. Cerberus was there for intel and the ship (which my ass is keeping.) Alliance was not there for the most part, would have been nice to have some missions to do for them (even if they where crappy.) Really I have no way to know for sure, it all depends on the profile import used.

Yes, I see what you mean.  A third option would make more sense too
because the two I posted are the extremes.. There would be a third
option in reality like what you mentioned with freelancing.  I hope in
that case we get to keep the SR-2.  I'm not giving it up if I can help
it either.

If you go freelance you'd still need funding, but Liara could replace Ceberus for the intel side. I'm really hoping freelance is an option, though I'm sure TIM would still send intel and suggestions anyway.

This seems like a real option to me.... or at least it should be one, b/c really.... what was the point of Liara becoming the SB if she isn't going to be in a powerful position to help shepard aganist the reapers!?

Liara works for both intel and financing purposes.  The Shadowbroker makes mad coin yo.  Probably more than TIM.

Hmmmmmmmm... You're right.
That will probably be one of the most difficult choices Shepard has to make in ME3Posted Image

And hand your ship over to Alliance command so they can lock it down when they don't want you interfering with petty politics when the galaxy is in danger? Freelance or Cerberus for me, because sometimes you have to do whatever it takes.

I completely agree with you, man..... to save the galaxy... you need to be able to do anything to make it happen. The alliance seems more concerned about their image and politics...

Though, the more I think about it... Freelance definitely needs to be an option that way I don't have to rejoin the alliance and still get Ash back since she hates cerberus. :)

Not to down play Ash, but Miranda is a way better second in command than her. XO's have to file reports and do other paperwork that I doubt ash would want to do. now for a second in command in the field She's  a great option, but behind a computer all day filing reports, I doubt she'd be happy with her skipper if Shep saddled her with that.Posted Image

"Really? you want tme to file all this crap? *glare*"

Hi, I'm new to the forums and I'm also Ash' fan.  I finished ME1 & ME2 two weeks ago for the first time. Ash had a great entrance, but I was truly beaten at this moment - I had to assure her that death of her mates was not her fault. Then she smiled slightly and I just melted. ;)  I can't understand why BioWare just cut Ash out. from ME2. After Horizon I was just mad - that cutscene was just plain stupid. I was rather angry at writer. Shep's dialogues/actions were from Brazilian soap opera. Normal man would explain everything just right there, kiss her, touch her face, whetever. But no, he was just standing there like a stone until she gave him a hug. Normal man would seek her immediately after his "resurection" just for explaining thngs. I don't buy a story that Shep is a saviour of the galaxy, and saviours were made for more important matters. Eh, she must return in sequel or...

I like Liara too, but she's too ... hmm, peaceful. Ash is straightforward, wild and she's got a temper. Oh yeah.

Sorry for mistakes, English is my second language. Cheers :)

Hey Vojtass and welcome!  I love that scene after Eden Prime where Ash smiles too.  It meant more than one thing for me.. That Ash probably didn't recieve positive reinforcement from her previous CO's and that getting that kind of acknowledgement from Shepard was an added bonus.  ;)

If anyone understands your frustration over the situation in ME2 and Horizon, it's the people here in the Ash thread.  I don't know if you should consider yourself lucky though... Since you've completed ME1 and ME2 two weeks ago and haven't had to deal with the lack of closure that others have had to deal with since ME2 came out.  I suppose you should maybe, but in any case, welcome to the party.  I can't speak for everyone here, but i'm hopeful that we'll get some kind of continuance of Ashley in the new DLC, Arrival which comes out on the 29th of this month.  If not.... I'll be keeping my fingers crossed for it come ME3.

Anyway, welcome again!  Oh and... Nice poster!

Yeah, I guess you're right. For Ash fan such long time without any news must be some kind of torture. ;)

Thanks. I'm not counting on DLC. Maybe because EA said "f*** off" to Polish fans. Yeah, I live in Poland and DLC's are not compatible with Polish version of ME2. EA didn't even translate subtitles. Fans made translations (e.g. LotSB) and found way to install DLC. They probably will do the same with Arrival. This is ridiculous, I have no words. EA has local department in Poland and they do nothing. As  for ME3, I hope BioWare knows how cruel revenge we got for 'em.

Did I catch that right that Arrival comes out March 29th? As in 10 days?
The shot of Admiral Hackett, now that would not be very nice to not include some Ash now wouldnt it?

Speaking of Ash smiles.... the one that always makes me melt is the one she does if you tell her it wasn't her fault on Eden prime.... you know, you're sitting on a bed in the med bay and she's all, I'm sorry, it was my fault skipper, I must have triggered something or w/e ... and if you say it wasn't her fault... the slight smile... is just... omg. *melts* lol

Sure does dubs!  And of course I completely agree..  It would not be very nice to leave out Ash at all..   Especially after all those missions she helped Shep out with that were assigned by Hackett..

I voted in the poll, Ash needs more love.
Also I would have made some kind of quip against Tali for winning again but to be honest these days Tali winning is par of the course. Besides people have a right to vote for whichever they want, I shouldn't hold it against them.

But seriously though, any one who could turn down this:

... clearly just isn't capable of handling the awesomeness.

Ha!  That's hilarious!  They really have locked sh*t down over at the Tali group, though.  I like a friendly, non-utilitarian Ash thread better.Posted Image

I'm a big fan of the smile she gives when you talk about going to the Macapa boot camp and Gunny Ellison.  Mostly because it's this great bonding moment with she and Shepard where all professional armor is down and they're both kind of laughing and smiling at something they have in common.

If you ask me, the most appealing smile Ash gives is the one just after the romance scene, you know after the whole love making episode when Ashley rolls over and then opens her eyes and then smiles before sitting up.

It's great because it's a good example of personality shining through in an animated character model. At least, that's how it looked to me. It instantly captured her personality just by looks alone and I found it quite endearing.
