Yes the Noveria decesion trailer. I thought it was really well done.

The way ash silences garrus when he tries to console her, to ashes cute visor scene...to the end where shep says his line.

Also Milla I would love to read it if its about shep/ash ...I personally love badpies stories but it says the link is outdated?

Dude/ma'am .... you absolutely HAVE to read Milla's fanfic... you will not be disappointed... I guarantee it!!! ... Or, I will **** bricks! lmao

Seriously, go read it! :D

hahaha!  Thanks Sarge!  :kissing:
If you do read it grifter, I hope you like it... We can't have Sarge s****ing bricks.. sounds painful lol! :P

oh baby... you're always welcome!! :kissing: :innocent:

HEY! ... it doesn't necessarily mean s*** ... it could be any four letter word... like...
yeah, we'll go with s*** ... :P

EDIT: ToP Ash: (yes it's been posted multiple times... but I don't care, it's one of my favorites... and I'm no artist, sooo lol)

So, I'm now convinced that Ashley is in this DLC. Has any other one had less promotion.

I"m on chapter 4 and I have a question.

I've noticed on a few stories that the author makes ashley have a fondness with coffee.

Is this a very strong trend, I personally never thought she would take coffee but then again to each his own.

Hmm... I hadn't noticed that trend lol!  Umm.. I feel like Ash would have a few staples around at all times.. One of em is good coffee for sure imo..  It adds depth to her character that nothing else could fill for me.  I just pictured it and then wrote it.  Ash wakes up.. Has a nice cup o joe.  And then goes and blasts baddies with her boomstick. lol!  It's also something that's very true of myself.  I used to roast coffee for a small roastery in Upstate NY and now.. My days always start with coffee.

Otherwise... -_-

I finally conviced my friend to play Mass Effect and he completed it recently. I was talking about the game with him, and when we got to the subject of Ashley he had the usual brash opinon and calls her rasist. He says that the alliance is representative of earth and people like her and Navigator Pressley shouldn't be in it. So we spent a while debating it.

I countered with the obvious she's not rasist, she's just wary  and nervous. He wasn't convinced.

I said that, as Shepard states, they are deeply held beliefs. We don't always get a choice in our core beliefs, that mostly they are deeply buried. We cannot choose to change our beliefs simply by saying we do. We can choose to try and accept others and act with coureousy even if deep down we are wary.
He is a born again christian and has strong beliefs, he says that god has spoken to him. I'm not a christain at all, so I used an example to expalin my point.

I don't believe in god, and he says unless I accept god into my heart I will go to hell. But I cannot just believe it god simply by saying I do. I'm too scientific and logical and it prevents me from beileving. I would love to belive there was a god, and that death is not the end, but wanting to believe doesn't make the belief real. I can't simply choose to believe. I can choose to go church, read the bible and try to learn, but to truly believe in god I must be convinced on a deep level. It is not an change that can be made easily.

This is the same with Ashley. She has strong mistrust and beliefs when it come to aliens, but it isn't a view that is done out of an evil heart. What should be judged is her actions, she chooses to do her best to co operate with aliens and she only expresses her view with her commander, she isn't going around the ship trying to spread hate. Her beiefs and trust issues may be solved with time, but she shouldn't be judged as evil for a view that she can't help having.

He disagreed citing something religous to do with opening your heart and I got a bit lost.

What do you guys think? Are people able to choose what they want to believe or are they imprinted and changed by upbrining at experiances.

I think it's a bit of both.. People are always able to choose what they want to believe, it's just a matter of them actually consciously making that choice.  Sure it's easy enough for some to claim that they never had a choice because of their upbringing or experiences or what have you.. but they're still the one responsible for making a choice to stay one way or to change..  I believe some people don't know how to make their own choices on some level with certain things, maybe because it's all they know and they're comfortable with it and accept it.  When you're a little kid.. and your brain is a sponge you're obviously more vulnerable to being "imprinted" with ideas that may or may not stay with you forever, be it from parents, teachers, friends....  An experience (good or bad) can drastically change the way a person chooses to be.   I personally think the choice people make to hate on Ash is more of an act of stubborness than anything.. You can give em every single logical reason available and rebuttle any Ash driven argument with plain and simple facts... Yet still it makes no difference for most of em.  They choose to continue to be stubborn in the false belief that she's racist.  But... they're entitled to interpret her any which way they choose and it's a damn shame.  Because Ash is awesome and they're missing out big time imo.

@ Lee

I had that exact argument with someone on this site a while back... and I kept trying to explain that people do not choose to be something like racist... but they can choose to try to change or better themselves. If they are brought up all their lives to hate (will go with turians lol) turians... and everyone around them hates turians... more often than not, they will as well. However, one doesn't know exactly what they believe until they can get out in the world and think for themselves and formulate their own opinions... so once Ashley sees that being SO distrustful of aliens may be bad and actually seeing friendships or w/e grow with the non human squadmates, she may come to trust them more herself, regardless of what she was brought up believing....

does that even make sense? lol

anyway, that's my two cents. lol

Yeah Sgt Reed, it does make sense! It is a hard thing to explain, the diiference between the two types of choices made.

@ Milla, yeah Ash haters do seem stubborn! I agree with what you said about  choosing to try and change, which I think she is attempting to do. I think she doesn't have the choice to have the views that she was brought up with, but does have the ability to learn and form new opinions from  her experiances.

*sigh* idk why people wanna mess with the XO position, I gues shtey don't realize that XO's ahve to file reports which I'm guessing garrus AND Ashley owuld hate. people complain about garrus' calibrations imagine: "can it wait? I need ot fiele these reports about my calibrations. which is better than Ashley haitng Shep for sticking her behind a desk.

I didnt care enough about the Liara mission and just read all the way to 16 and love the plot twist!

Everything is messing up! You need to keep on pumping them out haha I need to see the conclusion hahaha.

Also Garrus was a C-Sec worker so he already went through all the paperwork/redtape so he should be use to it not to mention I'd rather have someone I know from the beginning in charge of the bridge when Shep is gone instead of some man jawed cerb operative that might have ulterior motives.

Oh ok....well now I'm hook and cant wait till the next hundreds of chapters to come haha.

Personally yours and badpies little stories I would have bought if it was sold as paperback. I never got into the paperbaacks that are out now due to different main characters.

Cant wait!

PS: You also made me realize that its true Ashley NEVER got an email back from shep and is probably freaking out like you showed.

I agree completely. I played as a paragon and I convinced Ash to be more trustful of aliens - she even recommend to save the council...
