The way I see her character is that she would try and talk Shep out of that notion, do his duty to humanity, and defeat the Reapers, or die trying.

Touche. I would think the most effective measure would be the first four words of that scentence followed by another good smack across the gob.

FemShep always uses the Renegade Option. It would be a waste of Hale's voice, otherwise

I'm thinking pretty much what everyone else has said... she smacks him upside the head, tells him to get a grip, and then goes back to work.  But I also think that she'd be worried enough about him panicking like that to want to talk him through his fears in a quiet moment.

I've just been thinking that ME3 needs to have a "locker scene", and what better way to do that than conclude that there's just no way to win? Of course, it would be a lead-in to someone coming up with a kickass plan to win anyway, but I think there needs to be that moment of total despair. And obviously Ashley is just the one to convince Shep to snap out of it.

I completely agree with you Raanz!!! Ashley is not one to cower in fear and die hiding.... she fights for what she believes in and would want to fight the reapers until the end... and if need be, go out in a blaze of glory!
