As someone who is a fan of Ash and her original appearance I must say I really hate her new Mirandafied outfit and breast implants.
I love the fact she lets her hair down in the third installment but yeah i could have done without the silicon implants.
As for the outfit,it just might be the one she wears to your trial?

Part of me agrees that I don't much like the cat suit look (if indeed that is what it is) but I remain hopeful that this is just her casual outfit. Besides it's still kind of cool to see her with her hair down.
It is kind of annoying that they decided to make her into Ashley Lawson but so far this is just what we see based on one screenshot, let's give it a little time. For all we know, she's wearing combat boots under all that.
Besides, I'm frankly just too overjoyed that I'm actually seeing an article that confirms her presence in Mass Effect 3 at all, I can handle a few aesthetical changes. Maybe one can argue it's a little juvenile but as long as they remember to keep Ash's tough gal attitude, I can probably cope.
Maybe I'll get mad later on but for now I'm not going to look a gift horse in the mouth. This is still a good day to be a VS fan.

I am happy however to see her with her hair down (although I still hope she has the bun when appropriate)

Considering that her outfit at the moment appears to just be a reskin of Miranda's outfit/body I'm willing to believe (for now) that this is simply an early build/design that'll be fixed later.

Yeah, I'm of the same opinion: hair is great, padded suit, needs work. But I'm still overjoyed to see her in that article! /hugs the Ashley thread

About her new look: I've always wished to see her hair down. And here we go! Not fan of bigger knockers though, old ones were perfect. As a matter of fact, I'm not a fan of big boobs irl too. maybe I'm weird guy. Anyway boobs are not really important. Most important -> Ash is back! Hooray!

As for boob gate, I am not convinced they are that much bigger, the clothing she is wearing in that pic is rather padded, I guess I will with hold judgement until I have seen more pics.

I think posting that image is a bad idea, apparently it's a scan and those aren't allowed on public forums for copyright issues. You may want to pull it off the page, as awesome as it is to see our girl in her ME3 attire, it's not worth the risk of this site being sued for illegal use of a photo.
EDIT: Oh, nevermind then.

Subject: Re: Hey sis
James left today. He's been reassigned to one of the new Rapid Response Bases out in the Kepler Verge. Lucky bastard. It's like the ancient west out there — pirates and slavers coming out of the Terminus Systems all the time. He gets to play the cavalry, riding out in frigates any time someone's house gets burned down.
I made some speech about how he was a valuable asset to the squad and he better make us look good out there, blah blah. I suck at speeches. I was cribbing from something I read back in history class. I don't think anyone noticed.
I'm going to miss him. Don't tell anyone.
So you think James is cute, eh? Yeah, well, when you said I should "go for him" — not gonna happen, kiddo. See, we have rules about "fraternization". You don't do The Deed with your fellow troops, especially if they're under you in rank. There's all sorts of problems that can happen when two people in the same unit get together.
Let's say your unit is in a tight spot. Some bug-eyed aliens are going to overrun the galaxy. They eat babies, smell bad, and don't have elbows. Nasty. You're told to guard the rear. To let everyone else escape, someone is ordered "hold this spot until we're gone." Someone has to be left behind. You think it's going to be someone you're sleeping with?
I've served with these guys for eight months now. Yeah, some of them make me feel tingly (and yeah, James was kinda scruffy-cute). I hope I never have to decide who lives and who dies. But if I have to, my decision can't be muddled up by magic-sparkly-hearts-and-stars feelings.
Anyways, I'm gonna knock off here. I've got dog watch in a few hours. Want to get a shower and a meal before then. Talk to you tomorrow.

I was wondering whether this might be the James that joins your squad in ME3?
Bioware have shown that they're up for the idea of companions forming relationships themselves in DA2, having this as the same James Ash mentions in her email would mean:
1) If you never romanced her in ME1, she can have the option of forming a relationship with James in ME3, should you not persue a relationship with her yourself.
2)If you cheated on her in ME2, she can effectivly dump you for James.
3)If you romanced her in ME1, but have no desire to persue the relationship in ME3, after she turns up in ME2, you can call it off, and she ends up with James.
4)If you romance her in ME1, and staff faithfull in ME2, maybe James can cause some interesting tension if he turns up, and is interested in Ash to.
Dunno, having typed this, I'm not sure this is really likely. Just thought I'd 'throw it out there', see what people think. I believe that most people have James pegged as a relation to Kahlee anyway...

James is a common name anyway, there was also a brain-dead Jacob in ME1 and an indoctrinated Williams in ME2.
...
Anyone else suspecting that this "James" might be ME3's first dead squadmate?

About that email concerning "James" - I saw that on the wiki too but do not ever remember seeing it in ME1 or ME2. I don't remember seeing email at all in ME1. Did anyone else come across that email in the first game or was it something that came from somewhere else, a DLC maybe? Either way I think it's safe to say "James" was pre-Shep and after meeting Shep I doubt she thinks of good 'ol James any more. Do any of you think much of someone you were half-interested in before you met someone you really loved deeply? "A simple prop....to occupy my time...."

Here's a thought...if ME3 opens with the Reapers arriving (ahem) in the middle of Shep's trial, and the whole reason Shep did what he did in Arrival was to delay the arrival a couple years, either he took a couple years to turn himself in (which should have just been days) or he didn't do a very good job of slowing down the reapers! Either way who gives a ****, we have Ash baby! And with hair down too. Interesting point on her upper proportions, maybe Bioware gave that to us as a thanks-for-bearing-with-us because you can definitely see they have a little "mass effect" of their own going on compared to the side-boob shot we saw when she was crawling like a cat on top our f*cking lucky hero.

See? Did I not TELL you b*tches that Ash would be returning as a squadmate? My insider-information-o'meter is rarely off. Except in the stock market, where is could actually come in useful.

No doubt you're right, I mention it only as a possibility should Shepard not have had a relationship with Ash in ME1 etc. I would also think that any infactuation Ash had with James should be long-gone if Ash and Shepard got together. And yes, I believe the email is pre the first game, I only brought it up as a bit of coincidental speculation really.
