I haven't been this excited for Mass Effect 3 since--well, I've NEVER been excited for Mass Effect 3! This new info gives me great hope, and while I'm sure a million different worries will soon assail me, I'm going to take today off from the pessimism, because Ashley fans just got some great news and I'm going to bask in it for at least ten more hours.

And might I say that I ADORE Ashley's hair-down look? I was quite attached to her classic appearance, but I'll take her back with a makeover in a heartbeat over not getting her back at all.

I agree with Lord Zeuss. This is not the Day for pessimism but a Day to celebrate!!!

You gentlemen and ladies who have supported Ash since the beginning deserve this day!!!

It will be interesting to see if Ashley is a romance option to new players (coming from 2 or starting at 3 - which I don't know why you would but eh). I completely agree with you Midnight! If they didn't romance Ash in ME1... they shouldn't get the HONOR of romancing her in ME3!

That being said, you know they will be able to... they can sell more to the pre-teen/teenage boys out there.

@Batlass.  Yeah I always appreciated Ash's no nonsense look.  Very practical.  But it's time for an upgrade I think.  I'm behind it 100%.  And really all they did was take her hair out of the bun and give her a better outfit.  From that (blurry) pic they don't seem to have messed with her face, which is good.  I like her face. 


And yeah the super long necks and chest region on the females kind of freaked me out.  Because they were juuuuuust too long.  Until you saw it.  Then it was all uncanny valley.  hehehe

I loved Ash's old look as well!!! Though, I do love the new hair down look, as you said... I hope they didn't mess with her face and... ESPECIALLY "dem lips" .... and I saw someone say they looked smaller... please tell me this is true!!!

not sure what you mean. at it's current state the story is when Shepard has recruited Mordin on Omega and Shep is about to recruit Grunt then come back for Garrus. so nothing from ME3 hsa any effect just yet.

I mean, is it gonna be Rockstar!ShepxMiranda/Jacob/Ash? Now that Ash is confirmed for ME3? Though I still don't see where exactly you changed the pairing except in your notes :/

ah! well I don't know what's gonna happen with her romance wise with ME2 but the odds are she shall be so heartbroken by Ash that she'll stray and when that happens I have to decide between Miranda and Jacob. I love miranda but Jacob doesn't get enough love in fan creations so it's a hard decision.

I hope she doesn't hate me in ME3 for doing it with miranda D:, it would be cool if you could reconcile with her if you cheated on her, but I would understand if that wasn't an option.

Eh it's not really cheating. But it's still a gesture of moving on when you start something up with someone else. Which is all fine and good, but reconciling now means that you're being a jerk to the person you're ACTUALLY in a relationship with in ME2. (not calling YOU a jerk, PlumPaul I promise). I kind of hope there's no option to get back together if you've moved on, personally. I mean, just move on.

Ash has a temper for sure, but I don't think she'd be "angry" with Shepard moving on.  Not really.  It might manifest itself that way - that seems to be her default defense mechanism when she's hurting - but that's what it would be, hurt.  She'd be hurt that she was messed up for so long about losing you and you woke up and....moved on?  Ouch.

But Ash would push it aside and get over it.  I don't think she dwells, at least not outwardly.  By all outward appearances she will probably seem totally over it.

That...is conceivable, much as I don't want to admit. Based on this one, blurry scan...it's not a huge offender, but it's still something. I think she looks pretty foxy without overdoing it, and it helps that I know she's already a capable woman...but her original appearance was more conservative. There could be problems. 

I'm a little more afraid, though, that she'll be bashed for this...like now she's trying too hard or something ridiculous like that. 

Please, Bioware...just give her decent pants. That's all I ask.

Miranda was loyal to me even when I went against TIM, while Ashley didn't even give me chance to explain. I currently feel that I could count on Miranda to help me do whatever it takes to win against the reapers, but as it stands I can't help thinking that Ashley might let her emotions and morals get in the way of winning. Guess I'll see. That's just on my canon shep, I have another that didn't cheat  . He's called Hindsight Shepard. He saved Wrex too =D

I agree I don't know what I'll do if given the choice although I hope you can see how the characters act in ME3 not be forced to jump to a decision, so that way I could make a clearer decision. Also I would like it if the fact you persuaded ashleys views on aliens in ME imported into this game but I doubt it will...

Yeah! I actually only bought the games earlier this year (no spoilers) and didn't want my Shep to romance anyone, since there's a fair chance the LI will get killed off in the Reaper attack. But after the moment she uttered Whitman...

"Bunk with me, Ash"

I dont know..I can see her being hurt although never showing anyone. She finally found someone that made her feel good enough in the world and not the person with the "Bad," Last name. Then he dies and noone knows what happened during those 2 years....hell for all we know she could have went crazy for a few months a few of the fanfics make me believe that she would be devistated that Shep died.

I agree though that IF Shep fell for someone else during the mission then she would probably become defensive and let you go with the new person due to again her not feeling up to snuff with other people look what happens with Liara how she lets you go with Liara if you dont specifically say you like Ash.

I also dont like the comparison with LIara and how it wont be a big deal if you get with someone else...Liara is from the Asari that gets with anyone....

Again this is all my opinion so who knows...she might not even care.
