Not sure about letting players start a romance with her in ME3.

Not because of all that "don't deserve the honor" hoopla, but at this point I'm not too confident that the new writer can capture her personality/interesting romance building conversations like the original writer (Ian something?) did.

This is just with starting a romance, I'm half confident the new writers can do her justice with normal conversations/continuing romance.

I hope...

I just saw it on the ME Wiki, apparently is Ashley's appearance in ME3. If it is, then I think she will look gorgeous.

Uh... might want to take that down.

I agree with both of you but, Kasumi would sabotage that REAL quick.  Besides, Jacob isn't good enough for Ash, at least that's what a lot of supposed know-it-all neanderthals would say......forget the fact that he's honest, honorable, reliable and trustworthy....he just isn't good enough......yeah.....GTFOHWTS!!!

See I was at least hoping they would have met before in ME2.  There was a chance for - admittedly - some throwaway dialogue about it, but it might have been cool to think Ash and Jacob were acquainted on Eden Prime.  But no.  I took Jacob to Horizon and he and Ash apparently were complete strangers.  Not even a "so you were there.  Sucked right?"

There were two Marine units on Eden Prime before the geth attacked: the 212 and the 232. Ash was with the 212, and (as far as she and we know) her entire unit was killed. So if that's true, then Jacob would have to have been with the 232, so it's very possible he and Ashley had never met.

I think it's unlikely they met.

You'd think Jacob would have mentioned it if they knew each other.

Also, you can bring Jacob along on Horizon, and it doesn't seem like they know each other. If they did, you'd think there would be more of a reaction. Something along the lines of, "Jacob, what the h*ll, you're with Cerberus TOO?"

How do you think the first conversation will go between Ashley and Shepard? How will Bioware do it?
How would you do it?

Consider all possible playthroughs, LI, VS, etc.

To be honest, if it's anything at all like what I think it should be, it will be all business-like, followed by some verrry awkward verbal stumbling around the Horizon issue, at which point you can try to discuss it/work it out, or ignore it it stay professional (possibly ending any romance).

I think the first reunion will be really emotional, if it isn't in the middle of the trial.  Or if they meet after the trial, my Shepard will be begging for Ash's forgiveness and hopefully she will take him back or at least be a friend to him.  It all depends on where they meet, actually.

If they meet again at the trial (assuming this is how it starts) it will be business time for a little while. They probably won't be able to actually talk personal stuff until there's a break in whatever action and they have a few minutes alone. That's just my guess.

And to be honest I think it will only take one short "hey I'm sorry" "Yeah me too" conversation for them to at least be on friendly terms again.

Then I see the romance kind of progressing from that. Not sure they'd be able to just leap back into it considering it had been years.
