I still love Ashley's new look. Granted I liked the old one better but still it would take Ashley turning into a necromorph that vomits like Brundlefly before I seriously started finding her unattractive.
Ashley looks good no matter what she wears, 'cause she's Ashley. Plus I'm honestly too overjoyed to see Ashley back to really care at this point.

Also as a side note, people a while back were talking about dialogue interupts for Ashley in a romance situation. I think I have a solution:

Paragon interupt: Shepard gently but passionatley kisses her mid sentance.
Renegade interupt: He playfully pats her on the rump.

There, I think that covers the affection spectrum.

EDIT: Oh hey look, top of the page Ash:

I have no particular expectation, but broadly, I want to explain with Ashley, a fiery kiss. and an intense scene.

Her letter in M2 had ignited me. Contrary to the letter of Kaidan which I found very sober, the letter from Ashley was really scattered obvious signs of love.

Is it possible that Ashley could be a Corsair?

I suppose anything's possible, but I've a feeling that the bit about Corsairs was kinda just a throwaway line that won't be brought up again.

Or they might do a comic series about it and decide it's super-important.

Eh? I thought her birthday was April 14th. Says so on the wiki anyway, I'm currently trying to write a one-shot fanfic for it, can anyone confirm this? Currently trying to write a fanfic, since drawing faces seems so bloody hard to me. :?

So...what do we know about Ash's new 'S' designation on her new uniform getup? This is her new military code? Replacing her older B4 rank?

Maybe Ash will become a Spectre? Or did the Spectres have a diffrent logo? Otherwise I think she has been promoted to a higher rank. :)

Edit: Sorry I saw that this anwser has been giving before and you have already discussed it. Ignore my anwser. :)

Yep, April 14th is correct...it's the same as mine. With that fiery temper of hers, you know she had to be an Aries.

Spectre is a council designation rather than an Alliance military rate. A Spectre's name and reputation seems to be the only designation they have. She has more likely been reassigned to a different specialty - possibly indicating she is getting respect for who she is rather than who she was related to.

I'm curious. Why are some folks so gung-ho for Ash to become a Spectre? I don't get it. I don't see the purpose or logic behind any such move by the council in the game storyline.

Don't lite me on fire or anything. I'm just curious and asking a reasonable question.

Personally, I'm not.

I think that being a human Spectre is something that should be unique to Shepard, at least throughout the original trilogy.

If they do spin off games, maybe it would be okay to have another human Spectre. But they don't just hand out Spectre status like candy.  It would make more sense, both in terms of making his character unique, and in terms of story, for Shepard to be the only human Spectre on the team.

Assuming, of course, that your Shepard had his/her Spectre status returned in ME2. And accepted it. Posted Image

it's not so much her being moved by the council it's having the freedom to do Ash she pleases  and being recognized as a great soldier, She, Miranda, and Kaidan are the only other humans I could see as being spectre's becuase of their talents, Jacob's not off by much either. I'd love hteidea of Shepard not being on a mary sue level and not having fellow human spectre's.Posted Image

The idea is that Shepard is meant to be an unbelievable soldier, as good as Ash etc are they aren't as good as he is.

yeah that's the idea, but even most of the backgrounds and psych profiles say other wise. She can get most of her team killed, be the only one left of her team, be the one of the only survivors of a colony, and be an orphan in the streets of earth. I know the idea is to have her be space Jesus, but SPace Jessu is nothing without her team. it'd help to ahve some equally talented people helping her stop a fleet of nearly invincible ships.Posted Image

It's not just the backgrounds but the skills and qualities they possess in general.

Right, that doesn't change that they need help and having a few spectre's would be tons of help. Especailly if you already know a few good candidates.

I just don't see any of Shepard's squaddies as Spectre material.

They're good, and some of them (like Ash) I could see as special forces material for their own militaries.

Spectres, however, are the best of the best - better than even "normal" special forces. I don't see anyone Shepard has gone into battle with as qualifying for that.

not even the fire team leaders on the Suicide Mission? They're leading  team of highly lethal soldiers and getting them through the collector base alive. I'm sure if Ash/Kai was a squaddie they'd be a good fire team leader.Posted Image

I have a question: Is Ashley, technically speaking, an N7 operative?

I ask this because she was with Shepard during their training. Apparently she qualifies for N7 special forces, but her grandfather's bad reputation denied her the status.

What...?

I think Ash and Shepard trained at the same place, but they were there at different times.

Also, my understanding is that it was boot camp, not special forces training.

I think her specialization is B4 so no?

II don't see them as spectre material either, spectres are a lot more than just good soldiers. They are the best of the best, very rare people.  And not even the fire team leaders, they have their skills but they don't have the complete package like Shepard does.

As far as I know, she's never had N7 training.  So, no.

The instructer she shared with Shepard was a boot camp instructer. One that they had at different times.

I figured as much. Someone brought this up in another thread and I found myself confused a bit. Thanks for the clarification.
