If I had my way... the only alliance personnel allowed on my ship would be Ashley.

If I had my way, the only people allowed on the ship full stop, would be Shepard and Ashley. Maybe Miranda as well. If Ashley's open to threesomes.

Wow... lol.

I hope the crew moves around from time to time, like they stay in the same general area are completing a different task (for instance Garrus would be calibrating all damn time and I find it hard to believe that Miranda maintains that figure by sitting on the computer all day). I hope they implement a system where NPC companions (Ash and Miranda for example) talk amongst themselves like they do in Fallout NV (minus consuming beverages... R.I.P. Nuka Cola Victories Posted Image) I just think that would add a lot.

:pinched: No?
She was just assigned there, same as Shepard. Even if you use a Mindoirian Shepard, you still get the option of relating with her that you also trained there.
Edit: Why is loyal to Ashley considered your worst save import? :(

Speaking of Ash and Miranda. I was thnking,  what if in ME3, there was another Virmire scenario where Shepard had to choose between saving two squadmates; say Miranda or Ash? Probably won't happen. But could be interesting considering those two.

If a situation like Virmire showed up in ME3, I think it would probably be Garrus or Tali. Because Bioware subsist of the tears of fanboy/girls.

derp I hope not, I love both those characters. :crying:

Hey guys, do you think that some of Ashley's family members may die in ME3? Her three sisters and mother are living on some colony planet. The Reapers may come to "visit" them too. I think that would be an interesting personal quest, if she will have one - trying to save her family maybe?

I believe Ashley's standpoint on--that, is quite nicely summed up by, "In. Your. Dreams, Commander. I hope you two--or however *many* you end up with--will be happy together." I present the evidence. YouTube/Watch

On a serious note;

Saving Ash or saving 1,000 lives would indeed be difficult.Posted Image

If that were a scenario in ME3 I believe Ash wouldn't want Shepard to save her if it meant lives lost. If she could make the choice for him she would. Alot depends on the scenario. Is it black and white, or is the choice tied to a future goal....say...saving the universe. Shepard already has 300,000 batarian lives to his credit. Difficult choice.

Edit;  by serious I was referring to my earlier post.

What is up with those polls? Judging by the number of fanboys for Tali and fangirls for Garrus shouldn't they have a few hundred votes by now? Or do those crowds not hang out on Bioware?

Voted for Ash. French!Shep needs more Ash in ME3

It's possible Ash lived on Earth at some point since her family moved around so much, but she's not from there.  She was born on Sirona and lived "all over" according to a conversation with Shepard.  Her family seems to have ended up on Amaterasu I'm guessing for the last few years.  Macapa is just where one of the basic training facilities is - the same one that Shepard went to.

As for Ash being into threesomes - I don't think she usually shares, given her take on it in ME1.  Hehe.

So I gather the Alliance has the Normandy SR2 according to the article - picking it apart, finding out how it works and generally violating EDI's person so to speak.  Where do you think Shepard is staying during all of this?  A hotel?  An apartment?  A brig?

I hope Ash is there from the beginning, front seat at his "trial" ready to defend.

Granddaughter of General Williams, remember? Her name was lifted slightly due to the whole Saren agenda, but she's still held in low regards in the Alliance's eyes. Hence "reporting back to the Citadel".
Having her defend Shepard would make it worse :(

The last one.

Or --more likely-- she'll be on the prosecution...

You could be right.  Though she has been held in higher esteem since being involved with Saren.  She was also on the crew - the same crew that spoke with Sovereign and Vigil, though I'm sure there has already been hearings on that.  After Shepard's death I suspect there was a lot of red tape surrounding their mission and the Reapers - a lot of testimony, a lot of heated debate.  Ultimately they disbanded the crew and reassigned them (probably to keep them quiet) and swept them under the rug.  They probalby would have done the same for Ashley if it weren't for Anderson (and maybe Hackett).  They clearly kept Ash at their disposal since she was kind of their only tool if you think about it.  SHe was totally protected I think.

Even if she can't give testimony I would assume she would just be there in some capacity, following the trial closely.

hm first playthrough I romanced liara and then tali, but I voted ash for best romance. Was close for me between tali and ash though.

I think most the talimancers got banned, and I don't understand how anyone could think garrus is a good romance. I see him as a bro, even femshep approaches him as a friends with benefits angle it seems.

I dunno though, I've only seen youtube of the scene, he may be romantic afterwards.

Poor EDI! AFter she gets unshackled that must hurt having the allaince just go in an rearrange everything.

Shep: EDI what happened to half the technicians?
EDI: they were access core systems and accidentally activated the new defense mesasures you installed after the collecotrs boarded.
Shep: you activated them didn't you?
EDI: but they were all up in my grill so I set them foo's straight.
Shep: word.Posted Image

I don't know if anyone has seen this yet but if you haven't, it's from the Arrival DLC and I guess it shows some visions of the future (IDK, haven't played Arrival yet). Anyway it shows Ash along with some other major characters. Hopefully, this is is a fair assessment on her importance in ME3.

EDIT: Fail, I didn't put the link.

Ashley is a great character, I stayed loyal to her in my canon ME2 run, though it was very hard to pass up Tali. But it will be worth it!

Speaking of Ah Yes, Badpie have you dismissed the claim that you might be working on a new post-Arrival story about Ash and Shep meeting up for the first time? Kind of like Starboard Observations but now knowing more how ME3 starts.

This sounds like it would be really interesting, but I'm hesitant.  I like sticking mainly with the set Canon and while I enjoyed writing stuff like Starboard Observations and Reunion or what have you - there is a sense that eventually these will be "wrong" and that bothers me.  Haha.  So I'm sometimes wary of writing stuff that simply isn't going to fit with the canon eventually.  It's just a little quirk I have.  Even something like The Surprise, is in my head vastly changed by some of the new information I just got.

It's tough to write the future when one small thing could blow it all out of whack.  ;)  I'll drive myself crazy someday. :P

Haha, totally understand. Hear you on sticking with canon. On your current retelling of ME, it's almost as good as undiscovered territory cause you go into detail and provide the thought train the game doesn't provide. Your fans are happy with whatever you create, we just want 1) more, and 2) something to help give us an Ash/Shep reunion fix till ME3 comes! Keep up the good work.
