I also find it amusing that everyone can find something wrong with Ashley.
First shes a racist
2nd shes ugly
now shes considered a clone of manjaw lawson really?
It's frustrating.
Also if Bio has Ashley come out in the beginning but says she cant come along I'll stop playing right then and there.

eh, sure she looks hot, but she ALWAYS has.... I think her new armor IS OOC.... I'm not a fan of it, but sure... it's hot.
My main thing is... I hope they didn't tweak her personality as that is why we all fell in love with her... if that is changed to appease whiners, haters, and newbs... that will turn me off the whole game.
Yes, I agree. A new upgraded look is great but don't mess with her personality. Considering how much work was put into creating her personality in the first game it wouldn't make sense to change it now. I know there are new writers and all, but I believe ASH, the character as written, is too good to change. And a different Ash would not fit in the overall storyline of the trilogy. Let's hope for the best!

We should not leave in this kind of consideration. Everything shows that Ashley will have a major role. It is better to stay optimistic. Honestly, who expected to see Ashley as a squaddie ? I thought she will be a cameo as a spectre. And let the romance from afar. We had some very good news.
Also, like Badpie would say, moar Ash :
After the carnal act in the Milla's picture, now is the sweet repose.

@Sarge: I'm with you on this one. Though I'm not thrilled with the new armor, it's not as bad as it could be. Some of the details seem more Ash, like the v-neck rather than a straight, low-cut top would be. That said, I love Ash because she's Ash. Bioware can dress her [almost] however they want and I won't care so long as she's the same Ash. But if they change her...
I'm with you guys! see.. ^ I'm the one with the pitchfork!

This is the high point where Ashley feels the happiest woman in the world, flourished, with the love of her life. No fortress, no armor, just the quiet, peace, hassle pride, family, or duty for the alliance. She is simply herself.

How popular of a character is Ash. Typically she is ranked pretty high on the polls I've seen. It look to me like only Miranda, Tali, Garrus, and Liara are more popular (in terms of favorite character). Ash is a character you either love or hate it seems.Sylvianus wrote...

In the debate on the bun, I was surprised to see new faces, with Ash their li, say they prefer ashley before or after.
There are more Ashley's fans than people think. They are just hidden lol.
Anyway, I thank Bioware for not succumbing to the temptation of hatred. Because frankly, they were so strong at one point, I told myself a long time before Arrival, it' s over, Ashley will be neglected again in M3.
To console myself, I passed on DA2's forum XD
Miranda is also very popular despite all this hatred. This forum is just very noisy.

I'm very agree with that.Ash is a character you either love or hate it seems.
It's impossible to have a moderate opinion. Her personality is too strong.
Besides for my part, I did not like Ashley the first time. hard words, sending you **** sometimes, and some discussion of aliens rather disconcerting in the beggining. I was with Liara, because aliens, well that's cool when we discover Mass effect the first time. Then I had not talked much with her, I had rushed the game lol.
For cons, I soon loved her badass side in battle.
This is only in my second part, I fell in love with this character, when I took the time to talk. In fact that's where I realized that Liara did not have much personality
That is why I am the first to tell someone who hates her, i advise you to take the time to explore her.

I'm glad the redesign helped create some more topics about her so anyone who is crying foul, look on the bright side.

I know what you mean by rushing through the main story in ME1. In ME2 you needed companion support but in ME1 all I talked to was Ashley. I went back and played ME1 again a year or so ago and I realized how much I missed. Kaiden wasn't the useless fool I always thought he was and it made that Vermire decision slightly sad. I learned more about everyone yet still Ash remained a fav and Wrex in close second. I wonder what will become of Wrex.

Haha, to tell you, I finished Mass Effect the first time only in a 20 hours XD
In short, I was a noob in rpg.
I almost did only the main quest, I wanted so much to know the end. And this story fascinated me so much.
I discovered that I was really interested in Ashley when I started an another game with another shepard. I wanted to get back with Liara for another story, neutral, but impossible. I was completely blocked. Liara seemed so bland, to me, tasteless. So, I went back quickly to Ashley. This is where I really felt something.
Much more mature, more subtle, more exciting, more fun, with this strong and beautiful woman. The scene of jealousy, where she claims not to be concerned is truly memorable. She claims not to be interested, but when it feels threatened, her fortress cracking a bit.
" It's ridiculous shep we are not married, you do what you want with her. "
and after : " I've heard enough, it is me or her, shepard."
Then in M2, I felt a greaaaat void, I missed her so muuuch T___T and the scene was so upset on horizon. Until the end, I had hoped to speak seriously to her again. When I finished the base of collectors, I was a little upset that it ends like that. I didn't know that Bioware had decided not to allow continuity of this romance.
I always explore her.........very thoroughly.
Oh I see, someone very wise.

Looks like she's eager for another round of physical training.
And yes, I apologize for the cheeziness of this post.

I remember finishing Horizon and hearing her say "I'm going back to report to Anderson." I figured I could find her in the Citadel and spent about 2 hours looking for her. Needless to say after this, I was EXTREMELY pissed with ME2 and I stopped playing for awhile. Of course I eventually came back and played it through then did my definitive playthrough but I will never forget the dissapointment about Horizon. I always felt there was something missing in ME2 and the answer was a tight nit squad that was ME1 strength point.

My question is....Why did Ash tell Shep where she was going? When I heard this....I was like.....YESSSSSSSSSSS I can still get her back....but then.....after returning to the Citadel and NOT being able to find her.....I went on a profanity laced tirade aimed at bioswear that would make a deaf man blush....trust me.....it wasn't pretty.

I had been told by a friend who was playing just slightly ahead of me that she appeard after Horizon. So for the longest time i thought that final empty spot in the character select screen would turn out to be her (or Kaidan).
Turns out by "appearing after Horizon" my friend meant "sends you an email", and while Legion is one of my favourite characters in ME2 I wasn't too happy to see him at first to say the least.
And not even being able to find her on the Citadel didn't help either. I seriously looked so hard for her that I realised the glitch where an Asari on the balcony to the left of Anderson's has caucasian hands!

Go for it. Eight months are enough time for a good old alcohol induced coma and rehab. At least you kill some time till the release with it.

Yes well fans hoped for a DLC that would rekindle the Romance with ash/alenko since they did give Liara her own DLC. But did Ash/alenko get that? No of course not, why do you think that it? Cause Bioware loved to screw us over by not giving Ash/Alenko the proper treatment in mass effect 2.
We all feel the pain, but most of us are trying to see the positive spin on things now that we have some actual positive news.

What do u mean "...dress her 'almost' however they want..." BW can dress her however they want because its there game. Granted putting here in big bear outfit would just be stupid, but if they wanted to they could. Please don't do that BW.
