It's not exactlyblind to defend an organization that's been a part of you for the majority of your life. cerberus protected her against her father and did the same for her sister. In return she gives them the benefit of the doubt until the Illusiv man tries to use her as leverage against Shepard when she wants to destroy the collector base. EVERYONE says wht happened in Jack'sLM sounds like a rogue outfit, not just Miranda so I guess that makes Every squadmate a b*tch then right? to Keep this on topic, Ashley defends the alliance blindly, despite them treating her like crap and them being blind to the Reapers.

I think they're lying. Fankly, that kind of thing is waaay to common with Cerberus for me to beleive any BS they try to sell about it being a rogue outfit.

Just look at the operation that TIM personally oversaw with Greyson in the third novel. He clearly has no moral limitations against human experimentation when it suits his goals.

EDIT: For that matter, just look at the operation TIM personally oversaw with Greyson's "daughter." It's not much of a jump from what he did there to what happened with Jack.

The Squadmate opposite Jack always says it sounds like they went rogue by the transmission where the guys says "TIM's requestig reports...but when we succeed he won't care what we did" that gets them to say it sounds like they went rogue. It's canned dialogue, even though you'd think it was unique dialogue. It's not like the Alliance hasn't done things that were questionable, but I guarnetee you ash wold defend them in a heartbeat.

The three cells are duing ME2 Jacks cell was way before the story so you don't know. That's the point. Again the Alliance has done Shady things like Cerberus too, it's not made up of saints.

Horizon was terrible. I'd have loved it if the VS hung out in Anderson's office so we could at least VISIT them like Liara and Wrex. but nooo, they just vanished.I'm all for Horizon being the reason ash and Kaidan weren't on the SM, but couldn't we at least see them outside of that and be civil?

I think Ash will be some sort of special operations officer for the Alliance at the beginning of ME3. After the trial, and refitting of the Normandy, she'll probably be assigned to Shepards crew to keep tabs on him. And I bet she'll make Shepard work at getting back in her graces as far as LI. If Shepard was faithful in ME2 then his chances will be all the greater.

Good thing I didn't cheat on Ash during my ash romance save, unlike liara who I swapped for tali in ME2. Mostly cause I was surprised that liara didn't want to follow me, and seemed to have gone from cute to nasty. Shadowbroker dlc made me regret it though.

Also, since Cerberus just went rogue that would mean that Jack's program was while Cerberus was still under the Alliance?

I wonder what Ash did or at least thought when the Alliance began bashing my Shep? The bashing was so bad that some individuals left, even people (Kenneth Donnelly) who did not know my Shep on a personal level walked. Given that Ash hates politics and injustice how does she continue to "believe" in the Alliance brass?

And how did she survive Horizon? That has always bothered me. She was right next to the chick that you see get turned into a sludgie on the collector's ship so why didn't they take her?

As far as the Alliance bashing Shep, I believe Ash says she didn't want to believe it on Horizon.  How she responded when she first heard about it?  Probably confused since she saw Shepard get spaced and thought he was dead...  I have asked myself before.. If Kenneth left and publicly defended Shepard.. then why didn't Ash?  but I always come to the same conclusion... Where would she go?  The Alliance is all she knows and it's them who she's been fighting for.. It's them who blacklisted her family name and it's them who she feels she needs to prove herself to..  I don't like it, but there it is...  The Alliance definitely has a darkside, but it's definitely the lesser of two evils when it comes to them and Cerberus and Ashley knows this..  Even knowing that some people in the Alliance are corrupt I believe Ashley would stay loyal because she's determined to serve in the same way her family has before her..   She's an Alliance soldier.. it's in her blood.. that kind of loyalty doesn't just go away and she'd stick with them just so she could at least try to make a difference...  

I've always wondered how she survived on Horizon.. I have no idea lol!  But... I'm glad she did..

I don't think she'll make him work out of spite or a need to have something proven to her.  She may be a bit hesitant though for other reasons.  Reasons like:  Losing him devastated her and took her a long time to even think about moving on in many ways. But she did move on.  I can see her being a little scared to just jump back into things.  Even if she wants to there will be a bit of trepidation on both sides, but especially hers.  Shepard will just want her.  I mean to him he hasn't been gone that long and dying probably helped him appreciate that he'd better enjoy life while he can.  To her it's been over two years.  Both of them truly are different people at this point.  So they might have to ease back into it.

That could make the VS/LI story arc one heck of a love story within the story...so-to-speak. Possibly more immersive and realistic than any of the others.

It is already imo..  To stick to that trend would be awesome.  :happy:
