I think you mean fanfic'ed.

She's pretty sexual in her love scene.Posted Image
and in talks that lock in the romance.

Xenophobia isn't even the right word for what people claim she is to begin with. GaaURG.

Anyway, I will not go into a rant about racism vs xenophobia here. No one would care anyway or would try to argue with me without knowing what the hell they're talking about.

I love Ash's romance scene. I'll eventually have to play a maleShep and romance her, instead of just occassionally watching the femShep/Ash stuff on YouTube and wishing BioWare had kept that in.

It's not as if Ashley hasn't ever been panned by PS3 writers before. They hardly even know who she is.

It says this about Ashley:
"The Solidier:
Ashley Williams

You're likey to see this sexually aggressive, xenophobic human marine - most people save her at the end of Mass Effect, sacrificing the nicer but less chesty Kaidan Alenko instead."

Bioware said ALL love interests mattered, so I wonder if its true about Jacob being replaced. The whole thing sounds speculative except for a few definates which contridict what they already said.

I think when they say "replaced" they mean Sanders will be taking the role as the "Bioware Leader Man." I.E. the Kaidan/Alistair role.

The ME3 features update thread has this listed as confirmed (spectre status for VS). Supposedly this means it has been confirmed by a developer and the credit listed is PS3 mag. So hopefully this is true.

Congrats to those who were holding out for Ash's Spectre status. It's not something I necessarily was looking or hoping for but I think it just might confirm that Ash will have a central role. That alone is good enough for me. Semper Fi.

There's a whole discussion thread about this.  The general opinion is that this magazine is a giant fail.

All except for the "sexually aggressive" remark about Ashley.  That part was true.  :D

I was shocked by the tone very unprofessional . Only the negative in the description, and sub-extend most saved Ashley because she has more chest than Kaidan..... seems really inappropriate for a magazine and especially childish.

Looks like a comment from a fan lol

Yeah it definitely seems like fanboy speculation. And not very well written speculation at that.

When I saw some told Ashley became spectre, I told myself "damn , I completely missed my analysis on her " the first time.  Posted Image

Ah, right. So the SpecTRe business is probably false then. Thought so. Wasn't the whole point of getting human SpecTRes in the first place was to gain political clout and advance humanity another step into the galactic community? There would really be no point in making Ashley a SpecTRe in secret. At least not for the Alliance.
EDIT: Then again, if Anderson is made councillor, he could have assigned her most of her missions.

That thread is already pissing me off with all the VS-bashing.

As far as Spectre status go if it is true, sure why not? Kaidan is arguably one of the most powerful human biotics encountered in the game. Ashley was one of the top Academy Students and the only reason she has such a low rank is because she was blackballed. I'm honestly starting to believe a lot the detractors have a superiority-complex when it comes to their Shepards.

What I find messed up is that this was from a Playstation Magazine! They didn't even 'GET' ME1 and ME2 made 'no' mention of Ashley being worried about Aliens screwing Humanity which they did anyway.

Clearly these uninformed fools went to wiki or did a google check for Ashley and came up with this assumption.

I bet they also believe Ashley is Caucasion when in fact she's mixed.

And I was correct about suspecting Spectre status for the VS. Yeee!

Do you think the Council will send Ash to take Shepard in for his trial at the beginning of ME3?

The trial is an Alliance matter, the Council have no business getting involved.

Also pay no attention to any of the info from that mag. Don't get your hopes up about the Spectre status. Even though I think that's a possibility.

It makes sense that VS would be a Spectre because Shepard was 'dead' and 'rogue' while VS was the next most well-known/popular Human with a known history of doing the impossible such as helping Shepard beat Sovereign.

I'm taking everything that mad say with a grain of salt. My guess though is if Ashley was made a spectre, it's probably Anderson's doing. Virmire Survivor, regardless of what the haters say, actually do have an impressive track record and they did help save the Citadel. That was probably enough for both the Council's and Alliance's approval.

My guess is Ashley/Kaidan's secret mission was verifying the Reaper threat covertly for Anderson.

The mag isn't supposed to be realeased until the 28th, so I wonder where these scans came from and if they are real. Because it doesn't seem professionally written at all. Might be fake?

I'm not buying it! At least not until it is confirmed.  I cannot see the council giving her Spectre status. Look how long it took for Shepard to get it. Unless................Maybe.... if you let the council die at the end of ME1... an all human council could make her a Spectre. Hm........Yes...then I could see it.

Yeah, I'm not too impressed with the author of that particular article.  <_<
Anyway, I just played through ME1, and thought this was the most appropriate thread to say:

Ashley feels like such a believable person; she has depth, strengths, and weaknesses.  Her killing Wrex to defend Shepard always affects me.  I love Wrex (and nearly always save him), but he is genuinely scary during his confrontation on Virmire.  Ashley has the guts to do what is necessary to protect her commander and the mission, and I will always respect her for it.
