In ME1 she teased me about wearing a mini-skirt; hopefully I can talk her into wearing one in ME3. lol

As others noted, after you have been flirting with her and are 'romancing' her, take her to Flux and talk to her while standing on the dance floor. It will trigger a short dancing animation. You can also dance with Liara if you are romancing her, and both Ashley and Liara have their own dance moves.

Liara is the better dancer.

The way Ashley gets bashed on the BIOWARE forums is beginning to make me feel sorry for being here and posting with people like the ones posting in there.

To be fair, the first few pages of that thread consisted of some fairly constructive discussion. It wasn't until the 4th or 5th page that it started to deteriorate into the usual stuff. So props for those posters keeping it civil for as long as they did. More than the average at least.

I cant understand anything about the hate for Ashley.

Her killing Wrex is the only way I can take Wrex dying seriously if you were to go that route. Shepard was moving too slowly for Wrex not to get a shot off or to dodge or do something. Apart from that, if you saw some mercenary pointing a gun at your commanding officer, are you just going to sit there and twiddle your thumbs and hope he can make a convincing argument?

What context does "aliens = animals" belong, then?
Because it certainly seemed hateful to, oh, most people. Apart from those blindly loyal to her. =D

That said, I'm interested to see the direction they take her in Mass Effect 3, and hoping for it to be better and somewhat more enlightened. So, I'm letting her stick around in my Infiltrator playthrough. Doesn't hurt that they're making her easier on the eyes, and I like that whatever she devotes herself to, she does it with unflinching conviction.

Ok. How about take a human who has seldom been exposed to aliens. Now take them to other worlds where you literally have hundreds of different aliens running around. Could you tell the aliens from the alien animals? How would you know which was which? Because some have only two legs? Because they seem to be able to speak your language or a language?

IF someone dropped us right in the middel of the Citadel I doubt we would know which is an actual being that can communicate and one that is an animal.

No its not! The guy was beginning to lose it and was going to attack the guy in charge. That was just protecting someone in charge.

I dont see anyone crying when Shep goes through the entire civilization of the Collectors or how thane snapes the neck of a few humans....oh but hes dying already so he isnt racist.

The double standard for Ashley is beautiful.

for the first time in your life, wouldn't you automatically relate them to animals? It's not like comparing another human to an animal like you tried to argue in the other thread. For someone who's nly experience with Aliens is history books from school and second hand knowledge from her Grandfather, Ashley was hardly being intentionally cruel.

Additionally, did anyone bother to actually listen to her say it? Unless the person is tone-deaf, it should be clear that she is expressing wonder at her surroundings (compare to her tone when saying "This place is a little too perfect." It's day and night). Saying 'I can't tell the animals from the aliens' does not equate to 'I think the aliens are all animals'. It means what it states; that she is having some difficulty differentiating them (I don't know, maybe because she doesn't have a Codex two clicks away). I don't think that's hateful at all.

The truth.  Most of the aliens do look like animals of some sort.

Unfortunately, that's standard for science fiction. Mass Effect is a little better than Wing Commander was, though, with its race of giant cats and its other race of giant birds...

Hey well after just being a parasite and sucking off the goodness of fanfic created by Badpie and Milla and others I'm thinking about trying to write something myself. Problem is, having trouble thinking up an interesting story arc. If you guys have any high-level ideas let me know. I'd want it to not ever conflict with anything Badpie has written as I consider those works to be my personal post-ME2 canon until ME3 comes out. It would include Shepard and Ash but they wouldn't be the main characters, that ground is too well covered, I'm thinking about trying to develop one of the lesser-known characters and send them on a mission to try to procure a small recon ship used for scouting and other missions where the Normandy can't be there.

Anyway anyone have ideas shoot 'em at me, please PM.

Hello everyone, I've returned from my holiday in Brisbane.

Anyway looks like there's been some updates while I've been out of the game, for instance the Mass Effect wiki is telling me that Ashley is now a spectre... sounds pretty cool.
Anything else I should know?

Also one last thing, yes I noticed the 'why I think people hate Ashley' thread and at least for the moment I'm going to ignore it, by this point I don't think there's anything I can say that hasn't already been said.
