One of the big things that I'm waiting on for ME3 is all those "love choices" that we were promised.

anyway so considering ashleys large upcomeing role in ME3 do you guys think she will return to her former glory as the ME3 poster girl for the box art?

I would love it were that to happen, but it seems unlikely. I'd be surprised (pleasantly) if she does, but even more surprised if it doesn't turn out to be Liara.

Considering how, uh.. whiny, some people can be when their favourite character doesn't get all the spotlight,  probably Shepard and two new characters? ME1 had Sheploo and Ash/Garrus. ME2 had Sheploo and Thane/Miri. The only confirmed *new* squaddie is James Sanders, maybe Default Female Shepard and Sanders/New female alien squaddie?

You are correct about the avatar.

As for the box art it's hard to say at this point.  I wouldn't be surprised if she makes it back to the cover.  If they could make the art "work" I wouldn't be surprised if the cover is a litlle crouded this time with more than just a couple of squadmates ...

I doubt any of the ME2 Characters will grace the cover because they can die. I'd expect it to be something different this time around, maybe the new characters or maybe just Shep on his own.

I agree.   I wonder if it might be the Virmire Survivor(probably Kaidan), Shepard and Liara like we saw in GameInformer?

I'm leaning towards this myself, or none of the characters at all. (maybe the main protagonist gets the cover this time-the Reapers)

Almost 100% positive she would have to be made Spectre AFTER Horizon.  Remember she was on Horizon trying to get those defense turrets up as an official Alliance mission.  Spectre's work for the Council and even then only look into matters they want investigated, the council doesn't even instruct them how to do their business.  Seeing as how the Council wouldn't support sending a fleet in to stop attacks on human colonies, I doubt they would have had Ash go to Horizon to set up defense turrets.

So if you think about the timeline, just for discussion assume it took two months post-Horizon to finish the suicide mission and another month after that for the events in Arrival to unfold.  Figure seeing as how Shepard said he would "turn himself in" after his "mission" is complete, and seeing as how his mission pretty much was complete if you play Arrival after completing ME2, tack on another couple months for the trial, maybe three.  Add it all up and it means the VS would have to been made a Spectre sometime around 5-6 months after Horizon.

Shepard got his own ship pretty much because as the XO he was close to command anyway.  But not all Spectre's get their own ship, remember that guy who lasted for 10 seconds at the start of ME (Nilus?  Nihlus?)  didn't have his own ship, he just hitched rides.  Ash would do the same.

Just a quick point I've been meaning to mention: Shepard is an officer in the Alliance Navy, but Ash is basically an enlisted person in the (Alliance) Marines. The N7 group is a subset of the Alliance Navy not the Marines, i.e., Shepard is the Mass Effect universe equivalent of a Navy SEAL officer. Sometimes you hear people talk about Shepard like he's a Marine, but he's Navy (Spec Ops, but still Navy). I think one of Badpie's writings has Ash being commissioned to an officer in the Marines, which would be cool to have happen in the game. But in real life a lot of (especially senior) enlisted folk really enjoy being enlisted and have no desire to become an officer and deal with a lot of the crap officers have to deal with.

i don't think Ash will be on the cover..as much as i like...at best we will have Shep and a reaper////maybe Harbringer....or Earth in the background with the Reaper armada....
But as long as Ash has this important role wich she seems to have..does it matter if she is on the cover ?

Earth with the Reaper armada sounds about right.
Having Ash and Shep on the cover would make others jealous maybe?

When Liara is in the white/pink it looks odd...she should have gotten her own outfit and not ashleys!

Liara looks odd in yellow also, I think. She looks better in darker colors.

Ash looks great in all colors!!! Someone posted a pic of her in black and green, it was sweet! But of course I'm just a little bias.
