I disagree, just based on the unused content on ME1 and the fact that sBoth Shepard's can get the email for the Romance is pursued in ME1 so since they're already an LI they're not new, it's just a new path.Lord Zeuss wrote...

Now new LIs might mean the VS becomes available for both genders though. Thoughts?
Personally, I hope Bioware doesn't go down that road. I've made my reasons clear many times previously so I won't rehash them here. Besides, that would seem to fit the description of new love interests anyway.
Slightly off-topic: ME2 had enough love interests for two games' worth (six complete romances), not counting Liara in Lair, Kelly Chambers, and the Samara "romance"(which ups that number to a whopping *nine*).; plus the ill-fated Morinth "romance", making a total of *ten*!
Back on-topic: Making the VS ""available"" for both genders *would* add a new love interest (one for male Shep and one for female Shep, correspondingly), and we've been told there aren't any new love interests. Am I splitting hairs? Maybe a little bit.
It seems more likely that the voice actors just recorded all lines instead of unused content as you say.
After BobbyTheI's audio thread,im more inclined in believing that point.

Armistice Day.

It's either the fifth or seventh conversation. I think it's when she starts talking about the First Contact War.

Same thing really. They recorded the same sex path, it jsut doesn't make it into the final cut. I have a shep who has romanced Ashley and She wants her back in the cabin in ME3 for some outstanding make up lovins and she intends to follwo through on that plan.BornFree87 wrote...

No worries mate,i may not think she was meant to be available to both genders but im alright with the thought that she "might" be and it would make things easier for you.

Thanks. So the convo only happens if you click the paragon option about Shep's opinion on the Alliance?

choices = bad, unless they involve zombie infested green fields and show tunes.

I just did that scene, hence my confusion as I clicked the neutral option. I agree that renegade
choices = bad, unless they involve zombie infested green fields and show tunes.
I always pick renegade options outside of teammate convos and situations where i don't need morality points,
like saving the council or destroying the collector base.
I'll always go down the paragon route with teammates especially,i just cant be "bad" to them and i'm not daft enough
to give the collector base to a manipulative individual.

The thing is I never triggered that conversation, I think it's pretty tricky to get and I think other conversations with Liara might prevent it from triggering. When exactly is that dialog supposed to happen? I should mention I already had the conversation in which I paragoned her.

I need to ask a question about one of Ashley's conversations in ME1 since I've been redoing a playthrough of the first game and I've already talked to her several times. I know there was this one conversation in which she makes references to your background, talking about Akuze or Ellysium and the saying how she was a hellcat.

I think it's the last personal conversation before the Ilos trigger. She asks you if you're interested in her, "baggage and all". At which point you can respond with some lame fortune-cookie wisdom
"Everyone's got baggage, Williams. The trick is to have a matching set."
Also, just a thought. Did anyone think to name their Shepard "Dustey"?

When she brings up Armestace day and she makes the comment about the Alliance acting like an actual government, pick the top right convo option.

Is it possible that's just the incredibly common but incredibly erroneous view many people often seem to have of he? It had better be, especially in light of the paragoning option for her we were just talking about.I don't think it radically changes her opinon at all, it just helped her see things from the other peoples' (such as the Council's) persepctive.
I'm immune to the haters at this point, they just make me laugh. I've always had the viewpoint that all the characters require the player to give them the benefit of doubt to varying degrees, and I'll never understand how some people can give one character that benefit but not all others.

So, frankly... I don't give a flying leap about what the other fans think of her. We have her back. As long as she's written well, I'll be happy.
EDIT: You know what would be nice as far as "written well" is concerned? If it makes a difference if you "paragoned" Ash in ME1.
I don't think it should make a huge difference, but there should be some subtle differences in what she says and how she reacts to things. The "I don't care for aliens" comment in Horizon just makes me cringe when I'm playing with a character that paragoned her.

:DI'm happy!
:unsure:But i hope BW will not change her character, apart from that what you said. And because she get two years older she could be little bit 'seasoned' and secure. On Horizon she was not, let's wait and see. But her former writer left BW. And after I saw her new look, i'm afraid they try to make her more affable.
I want my 'old' Ash back!
