I hope Ash will be one of the romances Femshep can enter in ME3. I really wanted to romance her in 1 and change her views.
Maybe now I finally can ^.^ or see an awesome Ash vs Liara showdown.
Meh... I'm not really into that whole "turn characters suddenly bi" concept and I'm not really into the DA2 "make everyone bi!" concept. If they would introduce new LI and make them bi I'm fine. But why should Ashley or Kaidan suddenly be bi? They never showed any interest in a Shepard of the same gender.
Of course they could go the "I was into you the whole time but didn't know how to show you" way they did with Tali. Even better add a Liara line that says "I knew all along but didn't said anything. Where would be the fun in that?" and I totally make a Jim Carrey trollface in front of my desktop.

Well, at least i can hope. I don't like the idea.... Ash as bi. Bah....

I can not answer for Orodeth but I would like to state my opinion on the matter.
It just sounds strange to me that Ashley should suddenly be bisexual with no earlier indication or remark about that. She already broke the rules of fraternization with a male Shepard, so why not with a female one if she would be interested?
I'm probably just influenced by the treatment Anders got (I know, I know. Different writing teams). Would be really disappointing if Ash would go down his route of "character development".
I would prefer new LI's as homosexual options for Shepard, instead of changing the orientation of the already implemented characters. But I won't get a histeric breakdown if they should decide to change it as long as I don't notice it with my canon Shep. If Ash was straight and in romance with Shep in the first two ME's let her stay straight and just turn her bi if I play a single fem Shep in ME3. I hope you understand what I mean (It's pretty late and I have problems to find the right words). Would be strange to have Ash tell my Shep that she is into women now after he had a romance with her in ME and was faithful in ME2.
That would probably hurt my male ego"What? After our romance you turned to women? I'm that bad?"

Cookies and cream with cayenne pepper sprinkled on top. A bit of spice at first when people first start on it, and eventually gets all smooth and yummy, the flavors coasting over the overarching remnants of the spice.

I have to agree with Tobi on this one. I hate the idea that longtime characters are all of a sudden bi with their orientation to appease a group of fans. This is just as much pandering or a "fan-service" as adding large breastises on Isabela in DA2, but I am sure it won't get as many complaints as that did.
I have nothing against some fans getting things they want in a game, but to change the whole complextion of characters that have been developed over a course of three(two) games is jumping the shark for me.
If they want to include a couple of new LI for the sake of same sex romances...fine, I'm ok with that, but don't change the established characters. That kills the story for me.
*Still trying to get over that all LI in DA2 would swing both ways.*

No, you took it the right amount of distance. I vote this to be the official flavor of Ashley!Batlass8 wrote...
Ash as an ice cream?
So... I don't know if this counts, but has anyone ever had a sort of lightly anise flavored ice cream? It's totally amazing, but people have strong reactions to it. Sweet, delicious, perfect anywhere, but people either love it or hate it. The one place I know that makes this ice cream dips the tip of it (either in a dish or in a cone) in a dark chocolate shell. So you actually have to break through a shell to get to the awesomeness in the first place. (Although the shell is also incredible).
...I'm taking this metaphor too far.

What about a platonic relationship? They're going for friendships in ME3, I don't see why they couldn't make Ash a 'light' romance option for Fem!Shep.
Instead of having her jump at Shepard with a sudden change of sexuality (I personally doubt the ME3 team would just suddenly make her a lesbian, plausible story and dialogue please), it could be shown that she has some.. strong feelings for Shepard, but is fine with not acting on it and remaining the best of friends.

That's not a requirement of love, but at the adult level it is a prominent part. That can be said forevery romance, why must Shepar dand LI sleep together before the big mission? If htey love each other they could jsut spend time wawtchign galactic TV or a movie, talking, eating a meal, but it's sex before the big mission (or looking at a picture and probably....yeah if you stayed faithful in Me2)Lord Zeuss wrote...

And then why does 'acting on it' have to mean 'jumping your bones'? There's more kinds of love than just what you can get into bed.
Can you not love your commander? The bond of comrades in arms? Or is getting the person into bed the only kind of love that is valid enough to be considered?
Just post image links and links to other things tha are important to you. like my story and one of my favorite pairings. Just like how Zeuss has his opinion on romances in ME3.Valo_Soren wrote...

Casey Hudson said that they weren't necessarily making all previous squadmembers bi. He also said that there would be new LIs that were. This is after he said no new LIs so I doubt anything is set in stone.
Ash's favorite ice cream... I want to say Rainbow Sherbet. It's my favorite and hell if it's good enough for me, it's good enough for her.
