Hey guys! A fellow Ash fan here.Posted Image

While my level of fangirlishness over her compared to my fangirlishness over Miranda and Thane is super-low, she was always kinda like the twin sister I never had. And I am SO glad she's back in ME3, and not in the Horizon-esque role too, thank God.

But I'm still kinda pissed about the through-the-roof level of Nerd Pandering for Garrus and Tali...Posted Image If only Bioware could give every single fanbase the same thing. Grr.

Hmm.. wait a second..

It says Ash is from a large family, however, it says she is one of 4 children.

That is not a large family.

In comparison to some, it would seem like it. And moreso if the current trend of family sizing continues.

But as someone who comes from an exceptionally large family, I snickered at Shep's "sounds like a big family" line.

"Big family"...:P

Four kids is big in today's era, by today's standards.

Yeah, I'm one of eight... so by my standards it is not a big family.

My Grandpa (who's from the Philipines) is one of 11. I'd call that big. In fact, I'd call anything over 5 to be big, 4 if both parents work.

I'm from a family of 4 children and don't think my family is big. If the age group is similar enough, number of children doesn't stand out as much.

When you have four children, each of them going to different schools and/or college, then it seems bigger than when you have four children, 3 in high school and one in middle school.

My mother is from a family of 10/11. Guess condoms were seldom used in those days? ()

Shepard's been in the military since he legally turned adult. He's got no kids of his own, but it's not hard to see how hard a military life is on family. Especially if he grew up a Spacer :(

I don't begrudge Mr. Williams for trying to continue the family tradition, but it was poor judgement on his part to leave Mrs. Williams with all those kids without paternal support.

Assuming Shepard survives ME3 with Ash, I'm having him retire and getting busy with the baby making.

So you assume that all his time around experimental weapons (M-920 Cain for example) hasn't already caused him to shoot blanks?

.... just a thought

Ah ah ah, my friend. Remember, the Cain isn't a nuclear weapon; it just gets billed as one because of the mushroom cloud.

Besides, Cerberus made sure to fix *all* his "systems"

Yeah, well considering that Miranda is "broken" and is looking into fertility medicine, it makes you wonder that Shepard would be the same right?  After all, she couldn't "fix" herself...

I was gonna mention that too. I figure that unless Shepard had infertility issues before s/he got blown up, there shouldn't be any problems after his/her reconstruction.

I wish BW was a little clearer on why Miranda has fertility problems even with the technology of the 22nd century...still, Mirandais a special case given her history. Might explain it. I dunno :?

In all honesty, I expect this will be glossed over and mentioned, if at all, only in passing. Which is of course not to say that Liara doesn't have some explaining to do to Ashley. I wouldn't think Ashley should be too pleased to learn that Liara knew the truth all along and could have dispelled whatever vicious rumors were floating around, but didn't. If Ash and Shep had been involved in a relationship, she might very well see it as Liara trying to keep Shepard for herself.

But I don't think will see or hear about any of this in the game.

Shepard's body was regenerated, not modified like Miranda's was from the y chormosone of her father. Plus Miranda's condition is form all the gene mods her father put her through, Neither Shepard has any that we know of.

For any normal person, this would be a concern.

However, Shepard is the Grand Galactic Badass, and Ash is his Queen.  That changes everything, don't ya know?

Even so, Shepard and Ash could adopt. I'm guessing that's what a femshep and Ash would do after ME3. Or they could duplicate what created Miranda with Mordin's help. the possibilites really are endless.

His armor would have to have some sort of radiation shielding.

Well they might need to help repopulate the human race... Hehe.

In any case, kids aren't in the foreseeable plan for my Shep and Ash. Maybe later. :)

I love Ashley. She strikes me as the best written LI. She's not totally needy and dependent on you like Tali or ME1 Liara.

I think that's what the Talimancers hate about her. She's has some unlikeable characteristics, she's not fawning all over you, and she's not an alien virgin. She's a real person.

And I wouldn't change one bit of her. She's perfect in her imperfection.

For me the funniest thing about that post is how your avatar of Ash is looking at it

Funny enough I have no problem with this picture because I can tell that it's Ashley (it's her face).  I think I'll borrow it for some of the threads discussing her proposed look for ME3.

Being an alien virgin isn't a problem.  At least it's not a problem for me.  Why that would be an issue I have no idea, but whatever.  The fawning over you bit is something I hated so much.  Couple that with the damsel in distress quality that came out of nowhere considering how independ she was in the first game and I'm just scratching my head at the writers.

And to be on topic, gotta love someone who shines despite their imperfections.

I know what you mean! the talimnacers had the nerve to call her a damsel in distress because of Virmire but try to discount how many times you have to save Tali. Ash doesn't need anyone to save her, she just needs the 4-5 weapons on her back and she could wipe out a platoon (trust me, I don't even get kills with my sheps any more when she's fully leveled up in ME1) *coughkillstealercough*Posted ImagePosted Image
