I think we will. Pictures of Ash have been in most of the articles I've seen about me3.

Back on the topic of S/S and as a co-op to Zeuss's question, how would you feel if an un-romanced Ashley said she started dating a woman during the 2 years Shepard was dead and Comatose? How would your Shepard react?
Randall is my only male Shepard who hasn't romanced Ashley. He'd pause for a moment waiting for the shoe to drop, not reaqlly believing her and thinking she's just saying it to get a rise out of him. Meanwhile, I'd be behind my controller spewing "WTF?!" at the screen and Bioware for pandering to--sorry, drifting off-topic.
Cara would accuse her of being an asari, except Ashley isn't alive in her playthrough--and she'd probably smack Kaidan in the face if he told her he was dating a man, while Randall would just poke fun at him.

Cara would accuse her of being an asari
Cara distrusts an asari more than anyone, since they are always either stabbing her in the back or meddling with her life in some way. (I'd be happy to take this topic to the female Shep thread, since it will inevitably drift off-Ashtopic.

But that's an unsult to Ashley since she's the same person just with different relationship tastes.Lord Zeuss wrote...

No need to go with insults through a heavy change or assault them in the case of Kaidan. I could see Horizon 2.0 breaking out if that'd be an option should the VS come out of the closet in ME3.

Cara is the most blunt of my Shepards. She doesn't squirm her way around sensitive issues or worry if she offends people by who and what she is. Randall is pretty fickle since he's an ME2 cold-start.
And yes, I wouldn't be happy if Ashley/Kaidan "came out of the closet" in ME3 by popular demand, because in my eyes they wouldn't be the same person. They would be changed and I would see them differently.

Oh but they are. Ash still loves poetry, still devoted to teh allaince, still loves her sisters and family dearly, still one tough tank in battle. Kaidan's still got his past squared away, still an awesome Biotic, still and inteligent man. They don't suddenly get their personality randomized because they choose to date someone of their gender.Lord Zeuss wrote...

I'm not talking about their personality getting randomized. I'm talking about a change being made to a character. When a change is made, that character is different. It may not be a very large change, so that character might not be very different, but they will be different regardless of the magnitude. A is A.
Take Ashley's ME3 redesign. Is she still the same as she was in ME1 and ME2? No, she is changed, she is different. She looks different. It's not a big difference to me because I don't object to it and I view other aspects of her as more important than her looks. But the fact remains that Ashley has been changed. The degree of the change doesn't negate that the change occurred. This is the key.
Not a whole lot of people seem to share this view, but I see a person's sexuality as a fairly defining aspect of who they are as a person. To me, changing sexuality is a big change because it is more important to me. To some other people it might not be so big a change; it might be trivial, or hardly worth thinking about, or even celebrated as some sort of victory over backwards thinking. But the fact that it is a change and the character is different for it is self-evident. A is A.

You're right it is a "not a big deal" type of change. Sexulity isn't really a defining trait. I'm not who I am because I'm straight, I'm who I am for other reason's that aren't based on my sexuality Ashley isn't who she is because of hers and the same goes for Kaidan and any other character in this series.Lord Zeuss wrote...
