Question: How does everyone feel about Ash "refusing to join Shepard at a critical moment" in ME3 if he cheats on her in ME2?

I read that this happens in at least two magazine stories on ME3. I have to admit, I feel conflicted about it... On the one hand, it's nice to know that those of us who stayed faithful will be rewarded for it. On the other, I'm not sure that fits very well with Ash. I always viewed her as someone who would never let her emotions get in the way of duty.

 Is there a journalism-to-mass effect-wide conspiracy where magazine writers fish stories out of their toilets and slap them in their articles? My thoughts are that they're pandering to the masses with ill-thought out speculations and theories.

@DWH: I don't see it being a matter of duty. I completely agree she wouldn't let that happen, but that does not preclude the possibility of turning down Shep if he says the words "trust me" it could be "come with me it will be fine trust me." and Ash saying "get stuffed you cheating jerk". This doesn't mean she wont fight.

There are many ways for one to see the Horizon scene, but it really depends on how BW decides to take it in ME3. (I remember it being mentioned somewhere that there will be consequences if you cheated on your ME1 love interest. It might have just been speculation, but if that was an official statement then yes, it is cheating.)

It is a matter of perspective, based on what you thought of the relastion ship I was in it for the long haul and I felt that the way she said it did not sell me on her moving on.

There are many ways for one to see the Horizon scene, but it really depends on how BW decides to take it in ME3.

In my mnd there is about a year and a half in between ME1 and ME2, which means there is a pretty long-lasting relationship between Shepard and Ash.  If this is the case, which I beleive it is, and the fact that Ashley basicly says that she has not moved on, and if Shepard has not moved on, then I see the argument on Horizon as a fight between a couple, but not at all a break up.  Her email afterwards also sounds like she loves Shep.

(What really annoyed me about Horizon was the lack of a "I don't like cerberus, and I want to join the Alliance again"option)

Well, I'm not too worried. In all my playthroughs my Shepard stays loyal to Ash. I did cheat with Miranda in one, but it just didn't feel right and I replayed it.

I'm still not sure if that's a catsuit. So maybe it'll still be in ME3, without any figure-hugging characteristics that may or may not be in that pic.

Here's hoping she's shown in E3 (and that the devs don't bash her).
