Ashley doesn' need to be saved. She's a big girl and can handle herself. That's what set's her apart of Tali and Liara, she doesn't need to be saved, she's tough and she knows it. Bioware's going to fill us in on "what makes her Spectre Material" (something I'm also doing in my own story) and I have no doubt she'll have some accomplishments. wrex is leading the Krogan and Garrus has authority issues so he'd never be considered a spectre since he's left C-Sec twice. I have no issues wiht her being the same Rank as Shepard since it's better to ahve equally talented peple teaming up rather than one talented woman leading people who are beneath her. Plus Ashley deserves to be a spectre since she was held down by the blacklisting, not undeserving of hte blacklisting.grifter024 wrote...
I still dont like the fact that she is a Spec. just because of her past.
She is black balled her entire military career and then all of a sudden 2+ yrs erases that and she becomes higher than almost everyone??
Saren was called a traitor but the Council either alien or human are trying to squash rumors of the Reapers and she didnt do anything on Horizon....so why is she considered Spec material....for that matter shouldnt your other squadmate at the Saren confrontation be up for commendation as well?
Wrex/Garrus Spectre ?
I also dont like the fact that since she is the same rank per se I cant save her without her getting frustrated.
Shep sees a crack on the floor..walks by it
Shep grabs Ashley as she passes it
Shep: You almost fell I saved you!
Ash:Shepard.
Garrus: You didnt help me..
Shep sees another pot hole does same thing
Shep: I saved you again you need to be more careful
Ash: SHEPARD!!
Garrus; Humans.

Shadow has a new picture for us.
I'd like to read this mag and find out the reasoning for her being chosen as the second Human Spectre.
I'm still trying to grasp the fact and I hope Bioware has a good explanation.

Fantastic stuff, Shadow. I can see people stealing this for there own characters, like how that picture of Shepard from the ME3 trailer with Ash spawned a bunch of copycats. But we'll know where it started.

Don't ask why I just wrote that, I felt driven by a force...
And why does everyone think that Tela Vasir was SPECTRE material and Ash isn't?

Because Ashley and Kaidan happen to be human characters who aren't Shepard. That's what it boils down to, only Shepard is allowed to be a special human, and Ash and Kaidan couldn't have possibly done anything impressive during the two years Shep was dead.

yeah, that's what it boils down to. People can't handle not being special when they're the protagonist.PrinceLionheart wrote...

You know what would be cool ADL, imagine if during the course of the ME3's Ash romance there is a part where she is reading a poetry book called Guns and Poems and it is by a person whose pen name is Badpie. That way you both are in the game! And it's awesome. And not hard to implement... I think.

Correct me if I'm wrong but didn't Ash say she would not want to have to make the decision to sacrifice lives as Shep has done. Can't speak to Kaidan he died a lot.PrinceLionheart wrote...

When she serves under Shepard's command she says she's glad she doens't have to make those decisions, but she's matured over the 2 years shepard was dead.Jhon Flash wrote...

Only question is what will her two weapons be. Assault rifle and _________. Maybe Shotgun?

Tali and Garrus mature a bit but not as much as the other's Ashley's the highest rank she can be without being a commisisoned officer and that's higher than her father ever got by a longshot. Ashley's a soldier class so she has every weapon not two ut if I had to pick I'd say sniper. her and that high explosive ammo in Me1 were dangerous.nickkcin11 wrote...
All the characters from ME1 have matured (the only ones that don't really seem to get better to me is Wrex and Kaiden since one is extremely experienced and one is a high rank as it is). Ash, Tali, Garrus, and Liara all go from being pretty powerful with untapped potential to being in the top 10 most dangerous combatants in the ME universe. Tali isn't what I would call a very strong offensive squaddie yet she makes TIM's dossier list. Liara is crazy powerful in LOTSB. Imagine Ash in ME3!

True, aside from this statement something else in the things she says and the way she acts makes me think she would be unwilling or uncomfortable with the idea of putting large groups of the innocent in harms way to accomplish her goals. Shep killed something like 300 000 Baterians in one shot. Also their is the potential problem of working for aliens against humanity, or more specifically the Alliance. I also think she is to good, kind hearted, a person to take on the role of a Spectre. It’s nothing against her skill wise she could be an excellent candidate but it takes more than that to do that kind, black ops, of job.

Well, she was an Asari. She probably had decades or even centuries of combat experience that few humans could match.
Then again her driving skills make you wonder

How does everyone in this thread handle the Horizon reunion? Do you folks pick the upper dialog options or what?
I personally tend to pick the lower ones. Because I feel
Shepard does a better job at defending his or her relationship with
Cerberus and because Shepard actually then points out the VS and the
Alliances own failures and incompetence.
And this is not some attempt to bash the VS. I just feel that taking the lower responses make more sense from an in-game standpoint.
