It's true...she is a threat for Tali and Liara..and we all know Bioware devs want to shove this last two on to us..so why not destroy Ash's character as much as possible....
Well i just hope this is not true..but i guess we will have to wait for ME3 to be sure

I do dislike that retcon of General Williams in Mass Effect Evolutions because, apart from adding more fuel to the troll fires of the web, it pretty much renders moot the entire point of Ashley's character in the first place.
She was someone who was held back due to unfair prejudice due to her grandfather's actions, which were, in turn something that was unfair in and of itself because Williams didn't have a choice when he surrendered at Shanxi. It was an injustice.
Now the comic is basically telling us that General Williams wasn't forced out of the Alliance, he just left the Alliance. Which in turn makes Ashley's determined loyalty to the Alliance and indeed the blacklisting of the Williams name not make much sense.
God I hate retcons, not only does it actually reward the people who genuienly believe Ashley is racist but now it also completely messes up the timeline and continuity and is like erasing every aspect of Ashley's character arc.
I can honestly say I worry about how they are going to present her in Mass Effect 3, especially now that her completely reasonable justfication to have bad history with aliens has now been destroyed and replaced with a new, much more radicalist, version of the same story. Especially given that if they do acknowledge the change it'll mean performing a massive contradiction of everything Ashley said in Mass Effect 1.
My only hope is that, either this retcon dies in a fire somewhere, or it's revealed that Ashley never knew the full story and the realization of how it actually went down manages to completely remove any remaining traces of distrust for aliens.
If nothing else, seeing her merrily skip hand in hand with a turian and a volus might finally be enough to the make the haters shut up. Otherwise I'll go to plan B, which was filling their mouths with superglue.
Honestly, I worry when I hear Bioware say 'we are listening to the fans' because I worry which fans they are listening to. I pray they don't take inspiration from youtube commentors. Come to think of it, shouldn't all things character based that Bioware do to 'please the fans' be based on the requests and ideas presented on support threads just like this?
So you know exactly which fans you will be able to please and in what way?
I mean what else would these support threads be for if not that?
Yeah it makes everything she said about him wrong. And she said a lot of specific things about him, so the whole thing literally makes no sense anymore. It;s like Leliana's Song retcon, only worse because this completely changes the premise of her story.
Why are you worried about what haters think? No matter how BioWare make or change a character, not all people will like him/her anyway. People like to hate.
All that matters to me...is that Ash comes back in ME3 with a lot of dialog again....oh and...maybe meet one of her sisters.

My Shepard would then say; "You are so cute when you are mad! Do you want to go to my cabin and wrestle?"

About ME : Evolution: Well, grandad is a broken pedestal, so is papa Williams assuming he knew the truth and Shepard certainly doesn't help with his Cerberus bull. The three most influential men in her life, all betrayed her in some way.
ME3 is gonna be sooo fun!

Oh, yeah. Welcome to the thread. Yeah, I was staring at my screen in disbelief at the Horizon scene too, looking for some kind of dialogue option or interrupt that would pop up and save it from the horrific tragety that it was... But yeah.

I still don't buy that the Cerberus affiliation betrays Ashley. Shepard was dead no matter how you slice it and Liara was the one who went after her body to give it Cerberus so she could be revived, so Shep had no say in the matter. That and Cerberus was the only one doing anything about the colonist while Ashley/Kaidan were on Horizon because the Alliance thought Shepard would be there. Cerberus is the only game in town when it comes to fighting the Reapers although ME3 will probbaly reveal that Ashley and Kaidan were doing something similar to what Shepard was doing and the STG was probably being dedicated to the Reaper threat and such, who knows how they'll fill in the rest of the galaxies story.Antivenger wrote...

I would really like to see one of her sisters appear at some point in-game. She obviously has a close relationship with them. And in times of war, you'd think some closure with them might have to happen. I know it's something Ashley would definitely do.Asari Commando wrote...

Is there any pictures of Ash in ME3 yet? I've seen Kaidan and Liara but no Ash... I hope they include her in the demo--but don't spoil to much.

Mentally, in your mind, replace 'Cerberus' in your post with 'al Qaeda'. I don't know about you, but that makes me think twice--is this really a smart idea?--even with full knowledge of all the mitigating circumstances. When you add to that the fact that no one bothered to clue Ashley into any of the mitigating circumstances until she was face-to-face with him on Horizon--
Actually, this is broken-record stuff at this point. I'm just going to stop and let you figure it out.

I'll stop you right there. "Al-qaeda" is a religious driven terrorist group. Cerberus is drivne by advancing and protecting humanity. Their motivations are completely different and therefore cannot be lumped under the label "terrorists".Lord Zeuss wrote...

also The neutral options put all the facts on the table at Horizon. "Cerberus brought me back to life. Cerberus is fighitng the collectors, The Allaince has turned it's back on them for being in the terminus." Hell an alien(garrus) is working with Cerberus (two if your bring Grunt) That doesn't betray Ashley at all since she's mourned Shepard already and thinks she's dead for two years. shepard had no say in coming back to life.

I feel like Ash probably works out a lot. Physical strength and fitness are the focus of her job as a soldier really. I'd say she works out every day when possible. I mean.... you've seen her right?
