Yeah, I really dislike it when Game Journalist take shots at the "unpopular character." It's like that one magazine that stated the only reason people saved Ashley over Kaidan was because she had boobs.

Yeah, weird thing about journalism, you're kind of supposed to keep those things to yourself. I'll have you know, Mister unisex but largely considered feminine name, I have three Shepards; one of them is with Kaiden and none of them are into Liara. So there

Seriously, I just want the details, those extra jabs take me out of it. Even when in favor, they can be insulting, like that article describing Ashley as "sexually agressive" and "xenophobic". Way to perpetuate the negative light for the character.

I know we've sort of left the topic of her hair, but I just remembered she was originally designed to have very short hair in the first game. Would that have been better for any of you? Short hair can be very cute on some women; I think Ash could pull it off.

depends on the type of short hair style they would have went with.i for one problay wouldnt have had an issue with it.

To my one Shepard that romanced her, he loves long hair so that was just one more thing that attracted him.

I feel bad for Kaidan fans. The fact that Femshep never gets used in demos/trailers pretty much means the VS in all future demos/trailers will be Ash (not that I'm complaining about that )

I wouldn't mind a trailer or 2 with Kaidan in em'.

They said there will be Fem!Shep Trailers this time. Even the CE Cover will be Fem!Shep if I got that right.

So we should appreciate every scene with Ash that we get even more!

Oh and btw: women with short hair are hawt!

Er...Ashley is a full-time squadie, right from the start! I couldn't care less who they show now. We all know Ash is back..for realz.

As for FemShep trailor. That's going to be weird for me. I'm not used to seeing Shepard as a woman...but oh well. I can live with it.

Sadly I bet this will never happen, but I'm ok with it because Ashley is awesome and I see Kai all over the Game *hopefully* :innocent:

Wouldn't they make a cinematic trailer, if for advertisement? If so, then I doubt anyone who could die would be in it (besides Shepard herself, of course).

i have seen no proof that ash and kai are not as well recived as garrus and tali.are their respective fanbase's bigger than ash and kai are,yes do ash and kai get alot of hate yes to that to but ive seen hate for both garrus and tali many times and ive also seen alot of ash and kai love aswell.also if you combine ash and kai into one fanbase which alot of ppl tend to do then youve got a fanbase tha comes in around the top 3 or 4 most liked sqaudmates.

from what ive seen during my time on these forums it gose in this order.

top 5 most popular ME Li's

1.garrus
2.Tali
3.Ash/kai
4.Miranda
5.liara
 
moderate sized fanbase

1.jack
2.samara
3.thane

smaller fanbases

1.jacob
2.zaeed
3.kasumi
4.grunt
5.morinth

and lastly that weird catagory of charecters that everyone seems to like but nobody bothers to support

1.wrex
2.legion
3.mordin

*EDIT* liara,miranda, and ash/kai tend to fluctuate from time to time hard for me to get a reasonable gauge on whose the popular of the three fanbase's
