that's awesome... I tried soldier once... I play Vanguard mostly and Adept..... Ash shoots while I opt to deal damage with my mind!

This is pretty much how I role too. Garrus is my sniper and My Shep is a soldier to the core, just like his girl. I feel like it gives them something more to have in common.

I always play Vanguard. Ash will provide covering fire, giving me the chance to charge into the foe and annihilate them with shotgun and omni blade.

Those who are closest to Ash and will definately have her in the squad all the time are:
Ewan - Vanguard: He likes to go where it hurts - up close and personal. He needs Ash to cover his back and clear a corridor, if he needs to retreat in case it hurts a little too much.
Hellena - Soldier: She specializes in the Widow, so Ash will take point and Hellena will direct the action from the rear and snipe.

I play as an adept exclusively so she is my tank and mid-range shooter with the assault rifle. Shep is the long range and with pull easily gets enemies out of cover for easy kills. Then Tali is my close range shotgun and shield reducer. Tali also now has the tech bot which will make sure no enemy can hide. This is my squad throughout ME1 except with a few missions where Garrus and Wrex subed in for Tali. Laira sorry you are a the second best biotic in town.

Well, since we're talking about how we play... I'll through my strategy in the mix....
I play as an Infiltrator most of the time so.... Ashley will be the tank and the one taking all the aggro (here's to hoping she has a power like immunity in this game! (or fortification or w/e) lol) .... when enemies pop up their heads to shoot at her. BOOM HEADSHOT! XD
And I like the idea of playing stealthy that I've seen in the demos... as an infiltrator that sounds AMAZING! I want to be able to sneak around "infiltrating" the enemies' lines and take them out without them even knowing! Hopefully the infiltrators melee weapon is as cool as the omni-blade.
As for my other companion ... that spot will most likely rotate to get some others into the action (as Ash will permanently take up the other spot... she won't be leaving my side
) .... for most of the game though, I have a feeling that it will be Garrus, since he's my bro. So I'd have two tanks and a Sniper... or two snipers and a tank. lol
Might throw liara in once in a while for biotics... unless there is a much cooler biotic on the team.

So I was on the bus the other day..Dunno how i didnt catch this before but theres this little section that my bus passes everyday where the two roads ASH and WILLIAMS intersect.
