Who knows, maybe it was Liara who helped Ashley up to Lieutenant since Liara's the shadow broker? Liara's been the shadow broker for a while now so she could have done something for the VS. We've got months to speculate.Telemachus78 wrote...
Like if you paragoned Ash to be alittle more open to Alliance not have to stand alone then in ME3 that will not be a topic of discussion. Although if her and Liara are suddenly BFFs it would be wierd. I mean maturation does not mean a person personality and world/universe views change completely. I think Bioware understands this but I will be holding my breath untill I get ME3 and see Ash is still Ash.
Good gosh, no! I'd MUCH rather Ashley have risen to the rank of lieutenant on her own merits than by maneuvering and blackmail on the part of Liara. That would be a disgrace to both characters.
I have to agree with ya Zeuss. Even if Ashley was ever approached by Liara with something like this (which I highly doubt is the case) she'd turn it down flat.
Ashley to Liara - "No way T'soni. I can get there myself or not at all..."
*Ash walks away thinking* "Insulting much?"<_<

And this is not to mention the fact that I doubt Liara would even make the offer in the first place. Granted, I know some people go on a power trip thinking about Liara as the Shadow Broker, but honestly, I think more highly of Liara than to expect her to stoop to such dishonesty.
Ash wouldn't accept it (A Williams has to be better than the best), and Liara would never offer it in the first place.

I've always been a soldier in M1. It was me who used the sniper and assault rifle. Ashley used the shotgun and assault rifle.StaffSgt. Dignam wrote...
Totally. I'm looking forward to meeting James Vega/Sanders. It seems like they're going with a lot smaller squad this time around, with everyone besides the half a dozen we've seen being like Liara was in LOSB.Cossack72 wrote...
My ME3 squad makeup:
-Ash all the time
-Garrus or James
I play Infiltrator; I'm deadly at all ranges. But when all else fails, I can rest easy knowing I've got two tanks behind me =)
Didn't they say that they were going with a tighter knit group of people or something?
Liara controlled the field for us. A real carnage.
It was almost always my team. I sometimes took Tali, when I needed a technician.

Haha. In my fic the SR1 has a small gym, where Ash occasionally spars. She hasn't sparred with Shepard yet, mostly because they've agreed to "no holds, throws or pins" in light of their obvious attraction to one another.

Uh!! That's no fun. They should have a 10-second-pin match....Badpie wrote...

They can't! They're both fully aware that it would lead to a two hour pin match! :innocent:

It's funny how a change in a character's design could stir up long debates. Everybody has their own opinions which is fine by me
What's more important is that I want to see a more fleshed out interaction between her and Shep. It'd be interesting to see how they react to each other after that last email she sent with her mentioning she has changed since the last time they got together. There's plenty to catch up! (And I'd be jumping for joy if Shep got to interact with Ash's sisters but I'll doubt it since there's a war going on lol).
Loving the pic Badpie

It's her personality that has always drawn my Shep to her. Even if there's some change in her personality, as long as she's still the tough-independant-poetry-loving Ash, I'll stay with her. Like how Garrus and Tali were in ME2.

Thank you! And yes I'm dying to see a deeper more intricate interation with she and Shep. Casey Hudson mentioned much deeper relationships in ME3. Not sure what exactly that means but I'm hoping it means it's going to feel like pretty awesome.

I'm sure they'll both be fine after the match.
