Haha.  In my fic the SR1 has a small gym, where Ash occasionally spars.  She hasn't sparred with Shepard yet, mostly because they've agreed to "no holds, throws or pins" in light of their obvious attraction to one another.

Thank you!   And yes I'm dying to see a deeper more intricate interation with she and Shep.  Casey Hudson mentioned much deeper relationships in ME3.  Not sure what exactly that means but I'm hoping it means it's going to feel like pretty awesome.

:D

yes i think we deserve a surplus of extra dialogue for ash (kaiden also), because the horizon reuniun was a 5 minute teaser. if they were planning on screwing us out of ashley/kaiden time in ME2, the least they could of done is make shepard have some more sympathetic/meaningful responces.

"hey ash its been a long time"
"that all you have to say, you work for cerberus now!?"
"get over it ash, you arent seeing the big picture"
"i didnt want to find you like this"
"get us outa here joker"

like wtf, that whole scene i felt like i was just watching a movie, absolute no control over shepards terrible choice of words. if i could i would of ditched cerberus and hopped on an alliance ship with ash in no time :D

Hello, long time lurker here :)

It's funny how a change in a character's design could stir up long debates. Everybody has their own opinions which is fine by me :) For me, I didn't mind the change in her design. It's her personality that has always drawn my Shep to her. Even if there's some change in her personality, as long as she's still the tough-independant-poetry-loving Ash, I'll stay with her. Like how Garrus and Tali were in ME2.

What's more important is that I want to see a more fleshed out interaction between her and Shep. It'd be interesting to see how they react to each other after that last email she sent with her mentioning she has changed since the last time they got together. There's plenty to catch up! (And I'd be jumping for joy if Shep got to interact with Ash's sisters but I'll doubt it since there's a war going on lol).

Loving the pic Badpie

It's always nice to hear from our lurkers. Welcome to the thread, Drotter!:wizard:

Because Miranda is the only woman in the galaxy who can wear her hair down?  And if you're talking about Ash's new outfit, it's nothing like Miranda's.

@Marshal.  I hope so.  I changed her twitter name.  :?

@Badpie there's that... and the fact that her body model has completely changed. Can you look me in the account avatar and tell me that her body wasn't changed from the average female body model to a Miranda-ized body?

Just posted this in another thread where I'm having the exact same discussion.

Breasts = Mirandification?  Posted Image

I like that they're not using the stock female body for everyone.  Miranda and Jack and Femshep were all clearly different and that was refreshing.  So you're really gonna give them crap about remodeling a character so she looks slightly different in body shape?  They probably should have done it for ME2, but why waste the design effort and time if the character was only gonna be in the game 5 minutes?  I mean I could see if they suddenly gave all the women Isabela breasts, but they all look like normal, realistic female breasts to me.  And a lot of women in ME have the stock body model and still others have Tali's body model.  So they're going for variety here.  What's wrong with that?

And what exactly to you is the "average female body"?  There are lots of sizes and shapes for that....

Most characters upgraded their look from ME1. Ashley and Kaidan were just a little late with that. Also Ashley's personality is completely different from Miranda's. Miranda's suit is painted on. As far as I can tell Ashley has still got some padding on her armour--sort of like Jacobs ME2 style of armour. Which is good enough for me. Posted Image

Ashley fans asked for Ashley to be shown with long hair--without the bun. We got it. And still Miranda's hair is different from Ashley's.

yes actually yes i can.

You're refering to the one screen from the gameinformer magazine, but if you look at this one from e3 she looks pretty much the same body wise as me1.

Personally, I'm fine with the new armor. It's definitely a far cry from her usual soldier getup, but I can accept that. It's the long-hair-in-the-face and the fact that she has "smokey" eyeshadow that feels very OOC for her.

i see nothing of Miranda when i look at ash and her ME3 look.her breast and backside always were a nice size some ppl are saying that there much bigger than before but before in ME1 ash was wearing heavy, bulky, layered armor or a relativly baggy alliance uniform so her body features are not really seen all that well but during the love seen it becomes pretty obvious that is is a well equiped women i would say her breast size was always a C.but now with this tight new specter outfit things look bigger beacause were seeing more of her than weve seen before in cloths.

lastly the real reason ppl are saying her new look is a Miranda rip-off is beacuse she was the first squadmate to have their long hair completley down and to wear a skin tight suit.

IMO, any 'noticeable/possible' changes to her body is just part of graphics progression from ME1 to ME3, rather than a blatant attempt to "Barbie doll" her up.
Just like her hair having an improved texture to it.

As for her new outfit, although it has started to grow on me, I would still love to see her in some actual combat armor (something similar to what Tela Vasir wore), or, at least, have the option to dress her in it. (i.e. the bonus CE AAP)

Yeah, it kind of gives her a bit of mystery, and that could be Bioware trying to encourage people to talk to her more and not hate her.  It kind of looks mischevious in a good way too...
I mean, they're going for a more serious tone and a lighter one at the same time, so i can imagine Ash having a lot more fun this time around.  In ME1, she poked fun at Liara, who was her complete polar opposite.  This time I hope she can have conversations with the crew more, because she seems like she would have a lot in common with everyone.  That would be awesome!

@ISpeakTheTruth: Ash's look in ME1 was far from average, friend, and I sincerely hope that you noticed that.

My problem with it is that Ash isn't mysterious or mischevious (at least as far as I can tell).  I get that they're trying to make her a more popular character with the redesign, but was she that unpopular to begin with?  (I only picked up the games late last year)

Oh I always thought she had a bit of mystery and mischief to her.  Even Shepard said "You're a hard woman to figure out."  She doesn't really wear her emotion on her sleeve until you get close to her and please...with all her teasing of Shepard?  Mischief!

:D

The thing that struck me as odd about Kaidan and Ashley's ME3 look was they gave more armor to a biotic and less to a soldier (Unless they caught Ash in her utilities in the shot of Shep jumping into Normandy), fact is I didn't think that was Kaidan in this shot because the armor appears to heavy for his normal role in ME1 as a light armor user, it appears as heavy as Shepard's
