You're right! That's exactly when she uses her humor ... when things are kind of overwhelming... so making a joke about something while fighting would seem like her to me. 

Hell she even makes jokes when Shepard is trying to have serious conversation with her.

"Good to know I'm where the galaxy needs me.  Where do you need me, Chief?"
"I wouldn't say no to a footrub....sorry...I'll be serious."

I did it once just to get the cool dialogue from Ash.  But my canon Shep never even entertained the notion of Liara.

@badpie i do it for a similar reason;its one of the few scenes were ash interacts with another sqaudie to bad its kindve on the negative side.

Me too... but as seen... I don't even remember it now. 

Ash or no... my Shepard wouldn't have went for Liara.... she just isn't his type... Kaidan could look at her all day as far as he is concerned. lol

When my Shepard first had a conversation with Ashley... aside from the one when they met on Eden Prime where all he was thinking was... "my god, this woman can work that armor...* (lol) he was hooked.

Just a little meaningless observation, but has anyone noticed that while everywhere else the Mattock seems to have replaced the Avenger as the poster-weapon, Ashley is still rocking the Avenger assault rifle? This just seems full of win for some reason... Oh yeah, Ashley.

I noticed that too. I like the Mattock, don't get me wrong, but the Avenger really nails that "Sci-fi rifle" look and feel.

Personally as an Infiltrator I can't get enough of the Vindicator. Hope they give us the option to mod/change between 3 round burst and full auto.
