Idk. I love Mass Effect and sci-fi. I am sort of happy to see it on the way.Hopefully it will be an epic movie,just as the games.

I am also excited to see Ash's return in ME3. She was missed in ME2.!.

And they'll either get some supermodely type like Megan Fox or some overly butch type like Michelle Rodriguez to play Ash.  I'm telling you all, they will ruin everything you love.

They've never hinted at anything at all regarding plot or anything.  It's all just speculation from fans.

Well, I hope it isn't. We all have a different take on the Shepard story. That's what makes this game so great. A movie about Shepard would upset 99% of the fans who didn't see their story on film.

I think a movie would have to focus on something not directly related to the main story of the Mass Effect games if only to avoid establishing a canon that would cause the forums (and by extension, the internet) to explode from fan!rage. (Seriously, just casting a m!shep rather than a f!shep or vice versa would be enough to do it!)

That said, I have yet to watch a movie based on a videogame that wasn't terrible. For that reason, I'm sort of hoping they don't follow through with the movie plans. On the other hand, In the Name of the King was the most hilarious thing I've ever seen.

Anyone remember what happened to the Halo movie?... I am usually optomistic about this sort of thing, but movies based on video games have a bad rep, and anyone with the resouces or talent to make Mass Effect right is busy making other stuff right now.
Honestly, we don't need another Avatar, James Cameron.  The first one was great, but............

for sure. especially since the story can go so many dif ways, everyone has their own connection with shepard and his galaxy. doing a film on first contact war would be pretty awesome. especially if they had like saren or garrus in there lol

when shepard arrives at the citadel tower and defeats saren (first time) he and his crew walk toward the control center. after shepard says, "it worked, i have control of the system." ashley absolutely SCREAMS her next line. i forgot what she said exactly, but she always yells it at the top of her lungs. lol does this ever annoy anybody else? i love ash to death, but everytime i hit that scene im like, "calm down girl."

Ha!  I really think it had to do with the voice direction.  Both Ash and Kaidan yell their lines.  Those two voice actors are also in LA (which is where I'm assuming they record).  They might have had a different voice director than the actors in Edmonton.  It's really funny and out of place, but I guarantee you its not the fault of the voice actors.  They were doing what they were told to.  Must have just been some miscommunication about the urgency of the scene.

A movie wouldn't ruin the games or your choices. As whatever you decided in game is actually the canon b/c that's what imports into the next game.

Would I be slightly disappointed that Ash wasn't the LI or that they portrayed Shepard as paragon instead of renegade? Sure. But if they do a Mass Effect movie right (a BIG if) ... I believe it would still be pretty epic.

As for a movie set in a different time like the First Contact War... I wouldn't care for it at all. I'm not interested in that. lol

You're right of course, Pups. What was I thinking? Surely he will rene-bang Ash, then leave her on Virmire in order to get that big emotional impact that only the love of an otherworldly blue chick can take away.

And I'm sure Miranda will be re-written as a former supermodel who now knows karate and is "as deadly as she is beautiful."

I mean generally Hollywood is one big suckfest so I for one would rather they not ruin Shepard, Ashley and all the other characters with it.

As for the live action movie, we haven't hear anything in a long time. The anime ME movie will only share the universe and not involve Shep or Ash or any of Shep's crew.
