And they'll either get some supermodely type like Megan Fox or some overly butch type like Michelle Rodriguez to play Ash. I'm telling you all, they will ruin everything you love.

Movie about Mass Effect = Liara as the canon romance, btw folks. Calling it now.

I thought, they already confirmed that the movie was about the First-Contact-War and not the events of the games?!

They've never hinted at anything at all regarding plot or anything. It's all just speculation from fans.

I would prefer a First Contact War or something similar myself. I don't want to see Shepard's story. Been there. Done that.
Agreed!

That said, I have yet to watch a movie based on a videogame that wasn't terrible. For that reason, I'm sort of hoping they don't follow through with the movie plans. On the other hand, In the Name of the King was the most hilarious thing I've ever seen.
What's that? This is an Ash support thread? I should stay on-topic? I'm sorry! Have a hug?

Honestly, we don't need another Avatar, James Cameron. The first one was great, but............

for sure. especially since the story can go so many dif ways, everyone has their own connection with shepard and his galaxy. doing a film on first contact war would be pretty awesome. especially if they had like saren or garrus in there lol
??EDIT (ashley question)??
when shepard arrives at the citadel tower and defeats saren (first time) he and his crew walk toward the control center. after shepard says, "it worked, i have control of the system." ashley absolutely SCREAMS her next line. i forgot what she said exactly, but she always yells it at the top of her lungs. lol does this ever annoy anybody else? i love ash to death, but everytime i hit that scene im like, "calm down girl."

Ha, I remember that lol! I think she's just trying to get her urgency across for Shepard to make a decision about the council, which she does. Yeah, there were several moments where she shouted things really loud, like when you rescue Liara or are on Noveria.Asari Commando wrote...

Ha! I really think it had to do with the voice direction. Both Ash and Kaidan yell their lines. Those two voice actors are also in LA (which is where I'm assuming they record). They might have had a different voice director than the actors in Edmonton. It's really funny and out of place, but I guarantee you its not the fault of the voice actors. They were doing what they were told to. Must have just been some miscommunication about the urgency of the scene.

That does NOT make it the canon story as many people would like to believe.
A movie wouldn't ruin the games or your choices. As whatever you decided in game is actually the canon b/c that's what imports into the next game.
Would I be slightly disappointed that Ash wasn't the LI or that they portrayed Shepard as paragon instead of renegade? Sure. But if they do a Mass Effect movie right (a BIG if) ... I believe it would still be pretty epic.
As for a movie set in a different time like the First Contact War... I wouldn't care for it at all. I'm not interested in that. lol

oh my goodness... does it really matter if it's femshep or dudeshep or paragon or renegade or Ashley or Liara as LI in a MOVIE?!

Actually that's kind of...the definition of that.....
Okay then. Don't come crying to me when Shepard is played by f*cking David Boreanaz cracking bad one liners and the entire movie is him trying to sleep with Tali. Also, everyone will be white and beautiful.

And I'm sure Miranda will be re-written as a former supermodel who now knows karate and is "as deadly as she is beautiful."
I mean generally Hollywood is one big suckfest so I for one would rather they not ruin Shepard, Ashley and all the other characters with it.
Aw crap. Now I've gotten off topic. Have an Ash (now with more Kaidan!)
