Do you still get the dialogue with Ash towards the end of the game (I think it was right before going to Citadel and Ilos), where you can convince her, that Humans and Aliens should cooperate for the greate good of the Galaxy? I'm on the way to Ilos and I didn't see this dialogue tree. Is it for a romnced Ash only? To admit, I romanced Ash in each and every other playthrough so far ...

Geez, I have no idea. I always romance her, and I've yet to get that far through a femshep playthrough. I know there are a couple people who aren't nearly as loyal as you or I (

I don't think I've ever gotten that dialogue tree.

We should have a topic here. What kind of relationship do you guys think Ashley had with her father?
I'd guess loving but distant, what with the impression that he wasn't around much. They obviously bonded over poetry and over being in the Alliance. He was probably closer to her than the other sisters.

Do you think she inherited the traditional expectations of a "firstborn"?

Lookit this - discussion starting! *virtual fist-bumps Z*
Well, she's the only one of the sisters - that we know of - that was compelled to take up arms and continue on with the family tradition. Still, I'm not sure how much of that is nature vs. nurture. While it's easy to point to her being the oldest as the reason for some of her opinions and choices, I don't think it's all attributable to that. Part of it, yes; all of it ... not likely.

I think Ash had a really good relationship with her whole family. There really isn't any indication of family drama at all. She is... daddy issues-free
Except for her wanting to borrow the car when she was young.

Actually, though I know it's an unpopular stance, I'm pretty sure that they are quite dysfunctional but happy with it. And that dad was somebody who you didn't win over easily - kind of intimidating guy (think Red Foreman from That 70s Show) - and that explains some of Ash's approval issues/neediness. Yeah. I think she's a little emotionally needy - I know the rest of you don't - and she puts up too many walls to have it be completely not-family-related.

I'll give you a little, but don't push it.<_<
Actually, I'm quite certain that she went through a period of borderline hostility toward her parents (notably her mom), as maturing girls tend to do. The borrowing of the car, the arguing, in all its accompanying unpleasantness. But she (and her mother) obviously adjusted.

Yeah, I think Ash was just born with that 'special type of pig-headed' attitude.
It's thick-headed, but same difference.
