That is what I do too. Kaidan as an officier has more experience and can better coordinate the Salarian teams. Ash stays with the bomb. It's more important for the bomb to go off. Save Ash.xxSgt_Reed_24xx wrote...

Well, if you want to bring something like that into it.... this is how I go about it.
I ALWAYS have Ashley stay with the bomb b/c... that way it makes sense (to me, at least) that I go back and save her, thus making sure the bomb goes off destroying saren's base, research, and krogan army.
Saving the person with the salarians doesn't make sense to me. So that's the squadmate that dies.

On a different note. I don't understand how anyone that is romancing Ash can let her die. I just seems unreal to me. If it was not a choice and she died that I can understand. But not if you had the choice.
At the point of decision, the romance must be the deciding factor. imo it wouldn't matter how much you admired or respected one person, if you love the other, and have developed a relationship with them, that would outweigh the other choice. It has too. Otherwise the relationship is meaningless. Who could choose a friend over a lover? Either way......a very difficult decision.
