I never assigned Ash to the salarian squad. What happens if you do so and then decide to safe her from the tower? Is there some kind of video sequence or later a dead Kaidan next to the bomb?

No....Kaidan gets wounded but kills all the geth since Saren comes to where ever Shepard goes after the decision. same with Ashley. If you save the salarians (they make it regardless of where you go) then saren will ocme up to the AA tower for you.

No...they make it. I did a PT where I didn't do anything and they weres till on the ship awhen I went to talk to Ash. Man, Liara must have let them borrow some of her plot armor *ba dum tish*

This is what the wiki says...

"Without help from Shepard's team, Kirrahe will be killed by the geth air support mid-way through the operation. Either Ashley or Kaidan will take over command of the Salarians after his death and co-ordinate the attack from then on."

It doesn't say if when Kirrahe dies they salarians still make it or not, but w/e... I knew someone died!

Our mutual support treaty with the Kaidanites has a clause that asks us Ashaholics (just politely asks) to set aside one playthrough for the Kaidster to live through Virmire in, and vice versa for them with Ash.

None of us like leaving Ashley behind on Virmire, but a lot of us detest leaving Kaidan there as well.

Like many other things, enforcement of the treaty depends entirely on common courtesy, but no one is compelled to obey it. It's voluntary association. That's also why it's a suggestion, not a requirement. Requirements are stuff like: You must like Ashley and have at least a passing like for Kaidan.

kaidan is to deeply seeded in my steven M. Shepard Role playing psyche to alter his role in my canon....and so is ash she is shepards love and he will not let her die.

i never really do anything diff in my playthroughs. every time i play it usually always stays the same (the way i prefer it)

lets rachni queen live

gives geth data to tali

talks down wrex

saves ash

saves kirrahe and STG team

allows saren to "redeem" himself

saves council.

omg... that's dedicated of you! 

My latest and what's going to be my canon playthrough throughout ME3 (as I deleted the rest of my saves to redo them and actually keep track of what I did this time around)... went like this:

Spacer/Ruthless, Engineer/Operative, Renegon

Killed the thorian and saved JUST ENOUGH colonists to save the colony and let Shiala live

Killed rachni queen

Saved Ashley, Kaidan died 

Romanced Ashley

Geth data to Tali

Wrex lived

Saved Council

and I STILL had more renegade points than I had paragon (b/c I'm a jerkwad to everyone else!) lmao

probley not a good idea to go around sporting that one,the ash and kaidan fanbases have been de facto allies ever since horizon,no need to cause an incident.

what do you mean "De Facto"? I know plenty of people that alternate saving Ashley and Kaidan. They're both amazing charcters. I don't think there'd be an incident.

  a Latin expression that means "by [the] fact." In law, it often means "in practice but not necessarily ordained by law" or "in practice or actuality, but not officially established."


ash and kaidan fanbases are allies but as far as i know its nothing offical,just built on mutal respect and in some cases mutal affection for both the charecters.

i like it that way ive maximized the games experiance to my personal taste.

thats the best path for me for my canon.

i did do a renagade playtrough once were almost every thing was opposite. blew through it in like 4 hours. have yet to import it to ME2 and bother playng with it.

Just seems like... you wouldn't have any reason to play it again if you keep everything the same every time. I mean, you could do one playthrough and have it exactly how you want and never play it again and get the same result. *shrugs*
whatever you like, though! XD

Also, if you have alternate shep's who aren't your canon... it seems like you'd want some different choices for them, no?

It's just curious to me. lol

Anyway... we're way off topic now... bring it back to Ash! lol
