I seem to be the only one who liked Horizon. There was shoddy writing at times imo sure, but all in all I liked it. I liked the fact it didn't go smooth, I liked the fact it didn't make perfect sense. Sometimes things do that in a relationship, like say if one person dies and the other spends a couple years moving on with their life and suddenly the dead guy's back. So umm.. yeah where was I going with this? Horizon wouldn't make sense if they just got back immediately like nothing ever happened. It might go that way at first, but of course there should be some unresolved issues there.

I like what it has done for the story of Ash and Sheps relationship, that made Shepard all the more determind to come back alive, sadly the writting and responses they gave Shepard on Horizon was annoying and shallow.  How Ash responded was right in my eyes and Shepard came off as a d**k promoting Cerberus to her like a spokesman! Even the paragon responses! Strange considering paragon Shep tells every other caracter Cerberus is bad lol. Plus the damn wait to see Ash again! Lol.

To be honest, I don't think we will get a chance to meet Ash before the end of ME3. And this means, we will not have her as a squad member too ...

I would love to see the relationship evolving from the point after Horizon and the e-mail, and as stated above there should be some tensions. From my point of view, Shepard needs to invest something in their relation and take some steps toward her. After all, she was right, when she accused him of not sending any note to her (allthough Shepard asked Anderson and TIM about her ... but still, he didn't manage to get a message through to her). So I would like to have something like a "loyalty mission" for Shepard, where he gets his relation with Ash straight.

But as said, I really doubt we will get that. Bioware will give us a new cast,as they did in ME2. Imaging the rampage on the boards if some LI's show up and some don't ... they will not let this happen. If I were to guess, they will make a "generic" scene for each former LI at the end of ME3, which will be most likely the same for any new LI's introduced in ME3. I don't expect we get anything special, as they would have to do this for all of LI's which will not be covered by their budget, I assume ...

EDIT: 
I also hated the lines Shepard got on Horizon. He should have said something like he said to Tali, about not trusting Cerberus. With the lines he got, I didn't fell "In Character" during the scene at Horizon and I think Ash was much more "In Character" than Shepard ... all the more reason to love her

If Bioware holds true, they will make ME3 even more massive and even more epic and even more grandiose and even more--

I didn't like Ashley because she was grandiose and Superwomany, I liked her because she was down-to-earth real. And if Bioware continue the pattern of upping the ante, I've no real fear of being captivated by some new character they might introduce.

That's true.  It seems like they're trying to cater to a lot of different audiences with the LIs.  It's odd to say, but Ash is like the "girl next door" of the ME universe.  I don't think there's much overlap between people who are attracted to her normalcy and people who want to romance Catwoman.

Does anyone thnk Ash will be or deserves to be promoted in ME3 to become a Officer and become 2nd Lieutenant Ashley Williams?

Does she deserve it? I believe so - especially given Kaidan's jump in rank to Staff Commander as a point of reference.  Will she get it?  I think probably not, what with the bias exhibited against her by the Alliance brass.  They are probably not ready for a Williams to become an officer just yet.

Thats what i was thinking. She may have redeemed her family honor and they may call her a hero now, but it might be too soon to make her a officer as people still blaim her grandfather for the surender at Shanxi sadly. Ash is only 28 if she makes officer this young and from a regualr solider! Most officers join as a Officer and skip the private and NCO ranks, I doubt Shepard and Kaidan joined as Private soldiers they probably joined as officers. But if Ash makes Officer already there will be another General Williams one day and Ash will be it (asuming she dosent get killed in combat)

Pretty much this. Yes, she deserves it but the little cynic inside me says she won't get it. Though I could see her being promoted after the Reapers are defeated.

ME1 LIs won't immediately abandon Shepards who were unfaithful, but they will be mad. I think there will be a chance to reignite the romance with said LI, and both ME1 and ME2 LI will make a "final case" and somewhere in the middle of the game you will be forced to choose.

This.  I have been over this many times in my wee head and I still think the squad makeup for ME3 will be your chosen LI (anyone picked will fill that role, unless they died...either in ME1 or ME2), Liara (she is the only character that cannot be exterminated or lost in either game), and 8 others.  I imagine 6 will be old companions, while they will introduce 2 "new" ones (only new to your squad, not new to the game).  I.E. Shiala, Parasini, Anderson, etc.

Just my opinion of course.
