I have been over this many times in my wee head and I still think the squad makeup for ME3 will be your chosen LI (anyone picked will fill that role, unless they died...either in ME1 or ME2), Liara (she is the only character that cannot be exterminated or lost in either game), and 8 others. I imagine 6 will be old companions, while they will introduce 2 "new" ones (only new to your squad, not new to the game). I.E. Shiala, Parasini, Anderson, etc.
Just my opinion of course.
Are you saying that you theorize whoever we don't pick as our love interest won't remain in the squad? I apologize if you're not, but if you are, I disagree there. My thought is that given my previous quote above, whoever you'd reject would still remain in the squad, because after all, whats a lover's quarrel over the threat of Reapers? Dialogue options would end, given Bioware's dialogue patterns, and you continue as usual with your chosen LI.
Of course I'm mostly speaking on the basis of speculation and wishful thinking, because as I said in my first post of the thread, I romanced Ashley, went with Tali in ME2, and now I can't choose between the two, and I want the CHANCE to choose. Seriously, this is the hardest time I've had deciding between two LIs in ANY game, and any choice I've made in all the games I've played have been a million times easier than this one. Damn you Bioware!
On the topic of just Ashley, though, can I just say that her character is so freakin awesome! Bioware did amazing with the design, and Kimberly Brooks does a great job portraying her with the Voice-acting. Of course you all know that, but I think its good to state since there isn't enough vocal support for her in general.

yeah for soem reason everytime I try to take pics of Ash she give me the lazy eyes or blinks. I played that scene 3 times to get those 3 damn shots to be somewhat decent!

Hey I do not know if I am the first to request this but I want a DLC of post collector ship meeting with Ash or mission with her because I just read on another forum that ME3 will not be comin out until late 2012 which a ridicululy long time to think of how Shep and Ash will renew their bond. If any thing I just hope they will have continuous DLC's to make this wait seem shorter. The wait for ME3 is killin me just keep up with the FanFiction it is the only thing that is getting me by cause I want new stories with Ash in them.

I don't think its TOO long. After all, we want the game to be awesome, right? I personally think their target release of Spring '11 is a little too short.

The only think I can say is that because of the buzz over the "Cosmic DLC Thread: The Romance Pack", Ray Muzyka and Casey Hudson were interviewed on Otaku and they said they were mulling over the possibilities. That was a while back, though, so I have no idea where its at.
I agree that there needs to be more DLC like what was said, as right now, writing my new fanfiction is the only think I can really do to bide my time until new DLC or news of ME3 comes out.

I think they were just going to consider the possibility. I bet most of the DLC has already been planned and in development (as so far it tends to be quite polished). I would almost expect it though (if they were to to make such a pack) to be released right in the development of ME 3 as that is when they will bring back the VA's to record for ME 3. Two birds with one stone should they be willing to do it.

Hmmm you know this is a rather good topic for disscusion,i dont belive weve talked about Kim.B before in here.so here it is folks what do we all think of Kim B. as our beloved ash williams?is there a particular part that you all think Kim.B shines the most or do you think shes great through out the whole thing?

TBH i never heard of Kimberley Brooks before ME, and i am glad i know now. I hope Bioware keep using her for there games, she was in Kotor (aditional voices aka random npcs) Mass effect, and Dragon age. She brings a certain realism to Ash, cleary Bioware put alot of effort in getting Ash right and they needed a beautiful voice that sounds real and not fake.
Here is old ME1 E3 videos, in both of them Ash has a very different voice. In the first one she sounds more old, in the second she sounds like a child lol Thank god for Kimberley Brooks lol.

It's odd, I know, but the first time she quotes Ulysses ... there's just something about the emphasis on "I will drink life to the lees" that I absolutely adore.
I think the whole performance is marvelous - she does a great job at capturing both the toughness and strength of the character as well as softening her in moments, without compromising either of the two.

@funkcase i think the main reason you may not have heard much of her beofre ME1 is beacuz she did alot of kid cartoons mostly Pokemon,various charecters in the old 90's batman cartoons ect.
Now as for her voice work as ash, i since fallen in love with her voice,and the funny thing is that NOW i hear it everywhere...it seeems like anything with a voice overs on T.V features voice actors from Mass Effect ive heard her voice in atleast 5 things NOT mass effect related.my faveorite Ash/Kim.B vocie moments are when when she gets playful/flirty or when she gets sensative I.E locker scene and pre Ilos Love makeing convo.

I love the fact Kimberly brooks plays my sister in Mass effect, she manages to capture Ashleys attitude and personality perfectly! She even sounds just like Ash! I can not think of anyone else who could play as my big sis.

I haven't but I hope she does.... she's quite the important character.
since i play femshep, it sucks I can't romance her, but it was soooo refreshing to see a female that could be military savy and poetic/religious....and to be it didn't seem like she beat you over the head with it

Im sure she already has,its not like a voice actor too turn down work.the only way i see her not returning is if ash dosnt make an apperance in ME3 which the devs have said they there not gonna pull that on us.so i expect too see her return.
