Yeah i keep him alive too, he's a good commander and a good man. I wish we could save both Kaidan and Ash on Virmire aswell. That was the a tough decision, although Ash is my LI so i rescue her while Kaidan sacrificed himself for the greater good. Virmire has to be one of the best missions in ME1 and 2.
like most of us i also like kaidan alot,he was a good man and a good friend who did not deserve too die.But in the end a choice has too be made and i just love ash too damn much.Mass Effect would not be Mass effect to me without ashley williams.
i got ME1 when it first came out and to this very day have yet too kill ash on virmire i just cant do it nor do i want to.
Yeah i did'nt want too, i felt depressed after i did it lol. It did'nt feel right. I am yet to play that save through ME2, but if i hear Kaidan and Ash have a different story or atleast Dialoge in ME3 then i will. But yes Mass effect wouldnt be the same to me without her.
on the my very first playthrough i thought there was some way i could save him (ie the whole wrex situation before)ashley had orginally shot wrex in my first playthrough i was like OMG WTF??? ash wat did you do,i imdeatly went back and redid that part and saved wrex so when it came descion time i thought i had done something wrong so i went back and kept trying diff things over and over i even went on the internet and went to yahoo answers and asked "can you save both ash and kaidan on virmire" when i got a whole bunch of answers saying no i finaly saved ash and finished the mission.i felt REALLY bad after ward like i had totaly failed as a surperior officer/commander.
what made it even worse was that my brothers in laws were watching me play and saw how upset i was and they decided too **** with me saying "Awww man you ****ed up how can you leave your soldeirs too die like that steve" lol my sadness eventualy left when i saw half naked ash climb over shep and the citadel fleet fight it out with soverign
Yes Ashley's poetry, side boob and ass shot can realy make the pain go away cant it
lol. Yeah i thought i did something wrong on my first playthrough too, was not a good feeling, well Virmire never leaves a good feeling, but the whole thing with Wrex, the Salarians, Ash and Kaidan, Saren and Soverign made that mission one of the best, so much in one mission.

...erm...don't think i have a playthrough where Kaidan survives....
