The Reapers defeated, (First name) Shepard stayed with the Council for some time. But he soon dissappeared from the galactic spotlight in favor of newer soldiers, newer Spectres. Salarian information hunters say that he now lives with a Lieutenant Commander Ashley Williams, with whom the First Human Spectre had once served. However, their current wherabouts are unknown.

And as a quick reminder, this is what awaits those who are disloyal to Ashley;

If we did have to get a text update ending, I wouldn't mind that one, oddly.  It leaves it open enough to imagine whatever ending you choose.

The ending doesn't need to spell out what the end up doing, I prefer a scene where its up to the gamer to interpret. Ex. After all is set and done, shep ans ash (or whoever is romance) shares a hug while standing on top of massive wreckage, and then the game ends.

That said, knowing bioware, i will bet alot of money that in the end you will be left with a really sadistic choice of saving your ash/kaden or saving shepard. We already seen this with (SPOILER:::dragon age). I figure it will be ash/kaden because I think they will return along with Liara and will be central to the ME3, plot the same way Alistair and Morrigan is central to dragon age. All other team member, while having own stories and quest, aren't that important to the over all plot. That's why only Ash/Kaden and Liara is guarranteed to survive into ME3.

I'm still opposed to TFTF's (Tweets From The Future).

I would prefer an "I won't leave your side" kind of moment with Shepard and LI, followed by the classic Mass Effect flying off in the nebula ending.:innocent: For goodness' sake, don't tell us everything!

This is pretty much my worst fear because it stands the best chance of all my worst-case-scenarios of coming to fruition. It would be *so* Bioware for them to do this.<_<

It was in my late 10ths playthroughs that I really discovered the witty and in-depth dialogues you can have with Ashley. They key was to not always respond and play nice. Ashley sometimes liked frontal assault to. Bioware provided her with a great personality to which Liara is just a weak shadow. In the end, Ashley still is not my favourite LI in ME1. But this is only because her character does not fit to my Shepard´s, and her dialogue during the later stages became a bit too... making-fun-of-me and even house-dragonish for my taste... :D

But she is, imo, next to Kaidan, the most in-depth-written character of ME1.

Thanks for the support, I think ... Posted Image

Yeah, that whole "making-fun-of-me" / "house-dragonish" thing is just one of the very many endearing qualities of one Ms. Ashley Madeline Williams.  She has a lot of character and a lot of bite, and it's part of the fun of romancing her, IMO.

But, that said, we're a pretty open bunch.  Ash doesn't have to be your favorite LI - we just ask everyone to play nice.  Feel free to post anytime!  We're fans of Kaidan over here, too; the KAAS/KAST has always been good to us.

I think part of the reason why Garrus and Tali returned to ME2 is because alot of attentions are focused on the Ash/Kaidan and their character is flushed out in detail. So the developer wanted to write more about ones that are most ignored. Liara's character is pretty unique too, but i think she is suppose the appeal to a different set of crowd. Why Tali and Garrus were popular before the second game came out is beyond me.

Aliens are always appealing to scifi fans....Ash is just a human...and a dam good one too...but look at all the hate threads...she is not that popular...as much as it's wrong it's the unfortunate truth

In a way tho, even the amount hate toward Ash can attest to the depth of the writing done on her character. People mostly complain about her views they don't like, not about the character's lack of personality. The fact they can nitpick through her dialouge show there is alot of dialogues, which i think is a good thing for character. Plus the whole horizon thing, I can't believe people hate her for actually having a principle and sticking by it. Would she be a better character if she falls head over heel for shepard the second he shows up and do whatever shep wanted. For god sakes she grown woman, not some hormone driven teenage machinist (lol, can't resist taking a cheap shot)

if they go by the polls or fan demand and fan resilance we should be rewarded come ME3.if bioware cant see by now after all of our efforts that theirs a sizeable loyal fan base that will gladyl pay their hard earned money too have this charecter return in full sqaudmate capacity then sadly weve already lost.the odds are against us,all we can do now is wait and hope our best efforts were enough.

I think the bioware writers have decided the overall plot of the entire trilogy more or less at this point. Fan feedback may alter details here and there. They might include a cameo for a popular character that they didn't plan to have in the game before, but that's about it. I for one think your ME1 human squad survivor will be the integral member in the upcoming game, i think that's already decided when they made ME2, and the whole point of making them unrecuitable is so that you can't kill them off in the final mission for canon's sake.

I wouldn't be suprised that half the plot of the game is going to be alliance centered, where Anderson will replace TIM and be your main quest giver.

I agree that they have the whole triology storyboarded - and I like the idea of having Anderson/the Alliance play a larger role in ME3.  Still, though it's not feasible, I rather like the idea of Shep as Free Agent - no factions, no quest-givers... just stumbling into things as he goes along building his Big Important Army for his Big Important Reaper War.

I really hope that when they say the ME1 LIs are too important to risk being sacrificed in ME2 that they have big romantic-like things planned for them... If Ash ends up as my quest-giver in ME3, there will be pitchforks and angry letter-writing.

Its just completely random guessing on my part, but i think the importance of Ash/Kaidan goes beyond romance. Male shep could still leave Ash to die and save Kaidan, but Kaidan can't be your lover.

As for shepard's alligence, they can do what deus ex did and have multiple faction give shep quests in the begining, and only at the end does shep have to choose a side. Once the choice is made, shep will have the support of that faction and go face the reapers. Then again, this is completely random guessing for my part.

I would have to disagree with this. Lately I've seen a lot of Ashley/Kaidan support in polls. I think it just took a while to get organized enough that everyone could see them.
That said, you guys have waited, you deserve something.

Thanks Rune. Cross character support thread support. Ash would support this. Ash is with it.
