I think I only posted once in the last thread to wish her a happy birthday.  

Just throwing in my support for Ashley to return in ME3 as a squadmate and love interest.  She is one of my fave squadmembers besides Liara and Samara.  I'd also love to get my hands on some dlc to bridge the gap between ME2 and 3!!

With love? I used a field engineered Salarian tactical nuke....doh! This is a support thread...Well, my cannon maleShep not only let her survive, he romanced her. I found Ash a bit boring but I hope she comes back in ME 3, maybe she'll be more interesting.

So, can anyone explain to me how the Alliance getting a tip that Cerberus was involved with the missing colonies constitutes Ashley being sent to Horizon just as the Collectors arrive? I'm still fuzzy on that line of reasoning.

well it bothered me too..i mean i know they wanted to somehow keep our LI from ME1 away for ME2 and still make them appear in some way...but it never feels justified..unless TIm telled them Shepard will be there.

So how does this work in sequence?

TIM leaks that Shepard is with Cerberus and behind the missing colonies, Alliance sends Ash to investigate by, um, setting up GARDIAN towers on Horizon. Then what? Does he let out another leak that Ash is there to lead Collectors to Horizon? All he says is he might've let it slip that Shepard was alive and with Cerberus, which Ash corroborates. How does that translate to a Collector attack on the colony?

TIM leaked the info that shepard was working for cerberous knowing that the Alliance would send ash into the terminus looking for him.the gaurdian towers was just 2 birds with one stone thing,they knew there colonies were under attack so they decided too better defend the colonies.TIM wanted ashley in the terminus too see if the collecters would go after her beacuz she is shepards ex GF/crew, the collolecters go after her too get too shepard so hed come runnig too save her so they could kill/capture him.


EDIT: the collecter attack is also a two birds with one stone thing,they get shep and ash too very storng humans and get more ppl too finsh thier human reaper.

Ashley was sent to Horizon to investigate claims that Cerberus were involved in the disappearing colonies and to improve the planets defences should Cerberus attack.



TIM had already leaked information that Shephard was alive and working for Cerberus, he then leaked the information that Ashley/Kaidan was on Horizon for the collectors to find.



He essentially used Ashley as bait to draw out the Collectors, but it is still unknown why the Alliance picked Horizon specifically, whether it was a random choice of a likely target, or if the illusive man was somehow involved in leaking information saying that it might be next.

Collectors hear about one of Shep crewmates being on Horizon, either from the alliance or cerberus. ( I think tim found out and let the info out to bait the collectors ) and attack. I think tim said in game he thought the collectors were interested in Shep and he wanted to find out if that was true.
tim tells Shep about Ash on Horizon after it is to late to stop the attack. ( jerk )
Thats how I see. I don't think Ash knew Shep was alive. I don't think she went to Horizon to find Shep.

Yes, this makes sense. But we only really hear of the one leak, so the game don't make it so clear.

you wanna hear a REALLY dumb plot hole,you go to see anderson and the council WAAAY before you even get too horizon.its stupid that ashley has late info seeing as it is no longer a rumor that shep has returned,and its not exactly a secret either i mean hes running around the citadel doing interviews.yet ashley had NO IDEA that youve returned.

Agreed. There's also at least two dialogue options were Shep can ask Ash/Kaidan or Anderson if they were sent to Horizon to spy on Shepard. Both respond that they didn't know Shepard would be there, but they had received intel that he was a) alive and working with Cerberus and that Horizon would be the next colony to be attacked.

I suppose they could arguably connect the dots, given that they think Cerberus is behind the attacks, but I'm more inclined to think TIM set both the Alliance and Shepard up.

i agree with liams assesment,but i secretly want her too be anti-social *COUGH*becuz i am *COUGH* i wonder she partys alot.if shes anti-social then most likely she dosnt,and woud feel very uncomfortable around too may ppl in a club.what do you guyz think???

Personally, I don't believe she is completely anti-social, but her blunt nature and inability to 'play the game' so to speak are unlikely to win her many friends, although I don't see her caring.
