On Horizon when Ashley said that she had moved on, did she mean relationship wise? If so, do we get to meet her new guy?
I don't think she did 'move on' or find a new guy. Her email didn't suggest anything like that and she seemed more just trying to regain her life in a career way rather than a romantic way. So I don't think Shepard has to worry about having to compete with a new guy in her life.

Moving on can simply mean that she eventually stopped thinking in terms of how Shepard is dead. At some level she was able to accept that he was gone and she got on with her life.
Yeah, exactly. Moving on doesn't necessarily mean that she found someone new, just that she had finally come to terms with and been able to accept that he was gone. That doesn't mean she wouldn't still harbour feelings for him but it does mean she would finally be able to push those feelings away and continue to focus on rebuilding a life.
Like how in her email she said that recently she couldn't stop thinking about the night before Ilos ('our night') and that how she had sort of forced herself not to remember it for more than a year. So yeah, I get the feeling the emotional road to recovery between her and Shepard may be a little bumpy but I get the feeling that, given time, she would happily be with him again.

I absolutely agree with V-rex and LZ - "moving on" doesn't necessarily indicate that she'd entered into another relationship; I've always chosen to view it as coming to terms with Shepard's death.

So considering the squadmates from both games and disregarding including Shepard into the mix, which three-man combination brings out the best in Ashley's abilities? Who does she compliment? Who compliments her?
I have to admit that my experience with Ashley is limited because I rarely went with combat-heavy squads. I'm a strong tech/biotic power user. So I'd appreciate the output from those who know Ashley best.

Heya Ashley fans. I've had this thought experiment running through my head today, and thought I'd get your feedback on it. I've been thinking about the squadmates from both games and which ones work best as a team. Ashley might find herself working well with several different squadmates, but I'm sure there are ones that really bring out the best in her abilities and vice versa. I was thinking more than what we see from the game mechanics and more along the lines of personalities and strategies.

If I were to take Shepard out of the equation, I'd go with Wrex and Kaidan as good complements for Ash in terms of personality. Wrex and Ash are the ultimate ME1 combat squad - and she and Kaidan have a great rapport in-game, and his biotic and tech abilities would round out the grouping.
I think it all depends on the playstyle. I played a biotic Shep and wanted to have at least one "tank" in the squad, so I always took Ash for that and Kaidan for the tech/biotics. After Virmire, things got a bit more complicated - I'd bring Tali, usually, but I didn't like the pairing nearly as much as the A(lliance)-Team.
I think that Ash would work better with people who she respects and understands, i.e. a fellow marine and a battlemaster. I'm sure she'd do fine with Liara, Tali, and Garrus, but I just don't see it being as easy of a time.

Spent the day wondering about ME3 good way to distract yourself while weed wacking and laying sod (the grass, not curse word). I do wonder what will happen, but really hope Legion comes back again. Ash as well dont get me wrong, but his loyalty mission is awsome.
I am putting 10 bucks on the table betting that Ash or Kaidan come back as a Spectere and try to stop Shep, the paragon version at least, since:
I have a genophage cure
I have an Krogan army on my side (wrex)
I have Geth on my side (Legion)
The most advanced Warship in the galaxy (Normandy 2)
I may be counted as going rouge for stopping the reapers.
I claim they are coming back.
Now who does that sound like?
The more I think about it Kaidan and Ash could be specters. How bout the rest of you guys.

If either character were supposed to be around to haul in a "rogue Shep," I think it would probably be on behalf of the Alliance rather than the Council. I've seen a lot of people propose that will be the start to ME3 - and I hope it isn't, but I could see that being feasible.

Also, Giggles, not sure if anyone's filled you in on why the Ash group appears to consist of 5 or 6 people, lol. Basically, when our old thread got locked, most of our old regulars started hanging out in the off-topic thread, which can be found in the Ash for ME3 squadmember group. People will venture in here to talk about Ash, but we make a conscious effort to restrict all of the off-topic conversation and randomness to there. If this place ever seems especially empty, you can always check out the off-topic thread in the Ash group, if you want - you'll probably find someone's hanging around.

Okay, that made me laugh.
Yeah, the shades only get activated in strip clubs. It's her VIP look. You can't see it, but Ash has a very large credit chit in one hand and has been practicing her creepy lean-in.

may also fit a shep and thane romance as well. But this seems to fit a reunion in ME3 to me. Also I hate fooking husks on the collector ship. Without an assualt rifle I get mulched near the end. Until I put grunt in their midst and he turned them into paste!

Also - don't want to be annoying or anything, but we really try to keep this thread Ash-related only. It's too easy to veer into a gameplay discussion or something else. If you want to talk about the game or anything else, really, there's a bunch of people in the off-topic thread who'd be more than happy to.

We have an Ash/Shep song thread in the ME3 squadmember group. I think some Evanescence stuff is in there already.

Hey, thats awesome that there's a song thread in the ME3 squadmember group. Can I please have a link, though? I couldn't find it anywhere in the group so thats why I'm asking. Also I apologize if this is considered off-topic, but an Ash/Shep song thread really interests me, so I'd like to contribute my ideas to that

I reckon Ash and Kaidan could well end up being some high significant rank, though I'm not so sure about Spectres. That said if there's one thing I don't want to see it's Ashley/Kaidan arresting Shepard. Firstly because this will add yet more imaginary ammo for the haters to complain about and because I felt that the whole point of the Email was to show that Ashley/Kaidan still loved Shepard and was hoping to have a relationship one more. My hope is that maybe Shepard does get arrested and has a sort of trial to see if his/her Spectre status can be reinstated and Ashley/Kaidan speaks on his/her behalf given that in the email it's made clear that they still trust Shepard's motives for joining Cerberus (after giving it thought of course).
At the very least if Ashley/Kaidan have to be the ones to arrest Shepard they should be reluctant or even show clear signs of guilt for following orders.... holy **** I just thought of something:
Maybe the story arc has Ashley (since this is the Ashley thread I'm going to drop the Kaidan referances though they obviously still apply) starting off loyal to the alliance and reluctantly having to arrest Shepard, only to later down the line see his motives as good and then she once again joins as an ally. This is perfect because it can resolve the conflict of loyalty and provide a good way for Ashley and Shepard to fall in love once again.
That said, I'd probably still prefer her speaking on Shepard's behalf or even saving Shepard's life.

Okay I am back again from the Kaidan thread, cause you need a bump!!!
(Using FemShep for obvious reasons)
I was thinking why would then Council send anyone to arrest Shepard. In my case she has been reinstated as a Specter and the Asari council even tells her she looks forward to a quick resolution to the problem and an end to the Cerberus relationship. Now if you don't end the relationship right away I can see you being recalled to the Citadel, but i can't see you being arrested.
It's not like they didn't know what you were doing.
Anyway consider yourself BUMPed...

That's actually a fair point now that I think about. The council certainly seemed annoyed that Shepard was with Cerberus but they also seemed ready to accept him/her back into Spectrehood (a word I just made up) so yeah now that I think about it, the most that would happen would be Shepard being called back into action.
