I'm on the Paragon of her kind quest, and I've searched every inch(I think) of the Ciridans Crossing place(I think). I can't find that damn thaig! Halp!

It helps to have Oghren with you. He'll say "this looks like the right way" when you're at the exit.

He said that once, but then it was just an exit to the Deep Roads Map, with no new markers on it.

when you leave via that exit the thaig should appear.

I am having the same problem...can't get out of Caridin's Cross and I'm with the dwarf. Everything is dead and I have been everywhere. Help

You need to head out the south exit I think. Not all exits will lead to Ortan Thaig (at least not first time you travel anyway).

When you exit out to the deep roads is there a new location lit up? Pretty sure it lights up under Caridin's Cross on the map.

It wont light up unless you pick the right exit. As you say, the new map is under CC which is why she needs to head out south.

South exit- the arrow will say "Ortan Thaig" rather than "Deep Roads"

Make sure you're hitting all the side paths too. I missed a bunch of them the first time through Caridin's Cross because they're a little hard to see on the map.

When Oghren says "this is the right way" you have two choices for exit, one to the south which I think is really close if you hit M and bring up your map as it might not be visable on the mini map. The other exit I think is the one you entered Caradins Cross and if you take that one then Orton Tiag will not appear, take the south exit and if you want you can even skip most of the battles by proceeding directly to the south exit.
